Marc R played the adult Mattie in "13 Going on 30." That was him in the CBGB's t-shirt.

This was from when Ahab went to Fatima. This is what she was doing when he arrived. BTW, there's 2 versions of the song. The classic ends with Ahab and Fatima dancing. The later version has the husband bursting in, and Ahab escaping on Clyde. -

For this thread, we need the song title only. This is the CORRECT song title. (Wrong author, but that doesn't count on this thread.) Your turn! -

That's it. It's amazing how many people started mentioning it who never watched the show growing up!

Your reasoning is tracking so far. AFAIK, only one song REFERENCES it. (I could be wrong.) I'm confident you've heard this song before. With a little thought, you might guess the artist. (It is NOT the same as for the referenced song.) -

Next show. A few years ago, a lot of people started talking about this show again. Was it nostalgia for something from long ago? No- a lot of people were at work or at school in Zoom meetings and kept being reminded of this show every time!

Yes. I thought all the Beatles references at the end would get a nibble. As you mentioned, "My friends are all aboard" ("We all live in a yellow submarine"), but I added that "many more of them live next door."

"Eugene". For the curious, the band was "Crazy Joe and the Variable Speed Band". a side project Ace Frehley kept denying he worked on.

Must be rough on the couches, I imagine, with all the jumping.

Next song. Yes, it IS a song. "There she was friends lying there in all her radiant beauty...Eating on a raisin, grape, apricot, pomegranate, bowl of chitterlings, two bananas, three Hershey bars, sipping on a RC Cola listening to her transistor, watching the Grand Ole Opry on the tube reading the Mad Magazine while she sung, "Does Your Chewing Gum Lose Its Flavor?"" -
Unless I'm forgetting a Martin Stein, or thinking of the wrong one, that's VICTOR GARBER who played the mental half of Firestorm.

"Ssssh!" "What was that?" "SSSSHHHH!" "Good plan." "I warned you not to eat on an empty stomach." "Oh! Frankenstein!" "Yeah, I used to go out with his sister." "His sister?" "Yeah, Phyllis." "A thing of beauty. DESTROY IT FOREVER!" "It's all in the mind." "Look, if you must shout, shout quietly!" "It's blue glass." "Must be from Kentucky, then." "Maybe time's gone on strike." "What for?" "Shorter hours." "I don't blame it. Must be very tiring being time, mustn't it?" "Why?" "Well, it's a twenty-four hour day, isn't it?" "It's quite uncanny, your faces..." "We're quite cute, really." "You could pass for the originals!" "Won't you please, please help me?" "And I've got a hole in me pocket." "Do you?" "Well, half a hole. I gave the rest to Jeremy." "What would he do with half a hole?" "Fix it to keep his mind from wandering!" "Reminds me of Blackburn, Lancashire."

We did this song in chorus in high school. We didn't know why. When the teacher mentioned we had 1 song too many for the concert, and wanted to let us pick which song to drop, we almost shouted in harmony to drop this song. "FLASHDANCE (What A Feeling)"- Irene Cara. (I THINK It's Irene Cara.) -
"I'm a cool dude in a loose mood." "Hey, two ginger ales for my girls!" "Who is this guy?" "Hey, I don't know if you care, but the doctor said you know, I ain't gonna make it much longer, you know what I mean?" "Hey, what did you say your name was?" "I know you want to party tonight- I got an idea. What do you say we go down to Louie's Pizza?" "I stick my hands in fans for fun!" "Move over, boy, I got better things to do. I got plans and they don't include you tonight, tonight, tonight! Who is this guy?" "Who does this guy think he is?" "What do you say, uh, come on. Give me a break. I mean, like me and you and your girlfriend, we could, you know what I mean, we could - *SLAP* Aw, man! Why'd you have to go and do that for?" I wonder if Ace Frehley is embarrassed by this song, or if he thinks the whole thing is funny, by now.

I think you recall the actual video. Do you remember this guy's name in the song/video?

Jack Soo as Nick Yamada. "It must have been the coffee." So, this is "Barney Miller".

If you're suggesting Wordpup's music tastes are for recent stuff, you're incorrect. If you're suggesting he's heard it get airplay recently on the radio or MTV, again, you're incorrect. This song was an 80s hit.

Valley Irons Protection Agency. I noticed how the music video for Lit's "Completely Miserable" included PA in character as VI. I still love the SNL spoof, when David Hasselhoff was the host. So, the Baywatch spoof included someone in the water needing help. DH got on the radios to the lifeguards. 2 were making out with each other and ignoring the calls. One said he'd just had lunch and it's not healthy to go swimming right after eating. The best response was from the Pamela Anderson clone. "But I can't swim. You knew that when you hired me!" DH directed the team all to do something, and PA's job was to run up and down the beach.

They do, but not as many as live next door.

IS a song. And it got plenty of airplay, if not recently. And it had a music video that aired on MTV. I'll accept the song's name without the band, because a lot of people heard the song but didn't know the band's name. And if you try to cheat, you might not find it- the lyric websites seem to skip this song!
