  1. CoolWaters, That is a very touching and moving part of your life that you just shared with us. I will never forget it. And I agree with you that pfal was wrong on this matter. Look at how much different God our Father deals with us as His children rather then the way it was in the Old Testament. Jesus said I and my Father are one. Noone in the Old Testament talked like this. That had to die in order to for it to be even bigger then it was in Jesus' life as recorded in the gospels. It was after Jesus died that God gave him a name above all names. He is at the right hand of God which is where we are too. And all that rests and it's potential and reality is within us and will manifest itself in due time. Thanks again for sharing that with us.
  2. just how real was this death to give us life? i mean to turn things so completely around Jesus Christ became sin for us
  3. Sorry that I mocked you like that Xena=I'm stupid sometimes. I also apologize to you Todd for doing it on this wonderful thread. Seeing too much red I guess..lol.. Point is Eve ate of the tree Adam ate of the tree This could really be it's own thread, what you brought up Xena. Cause the serpent said that they would be like Gods knowing good and evil. Now does God know good and evil? Reminds me of Danny's query into God the Creator vs God the Father. Also where God is and has chosen to live. The tree of knowledge of good and evil. The tree of life. Seems to me that they are both one and the same. Both in the midst, or as one translation says, in the middle of the Garden. Eve-black and white. Black ...darkness. White ...all the colors in one is white. Adam-seeing what had to be done did it and ate.
  4. Huh? What? Eve-a tree to be desired. Only one purpose. black and white Adam ate for more then one reason. Without Adam eating there would not be a Jesus Christ. more then one color
  5. I do like your post Danny
  6. reminds me of T-Bones thread can an atheist change their mind? can a theist change their mind seems an agnostic is open to mind changing all these labels-sheesh i hope noone gets stuck in a label!
  7. I reckon I could have said at one time that there is no God. But I didn't want to give up or quit searching. twi surely wasn't offering much. Just different methods of studying the bible. But there was no real action like I saw in Acts. twi offered a limited finite view of something i considered to be more then word-tricks and mental pictures that never came to pass. So it doesn't surprise me or upset me for anyone to say there is no God. I understand the concept that it was just mind games and hype. The funny thing is that the bible can be disproved easily, very easily. But I'm not one for the easy way or just to let it go, as you all might have noticed from my posts...lol.
  8. For me it was around twelve that I became aware of things beyond my own comprehension. Raised Lutheran then Souther Baptist till meeting up with twi. Of course there was some partying in my teens too. Twi gave me what I thought was a chance at knowing God. But it turned out to be just learning a book. Which came in handy later, as well as the Lutheran and Baptist influence. For me to define God would be a waste of energy. Cause I think He (which is one but bigger then one) can do the job Himself much better then I could. So I sometimes wonder why it's even talked about, till I realized that there is more to this God then I first anticipated. More later...off to work now...peace.
  9. Neither way really Oakspear, But to gain an understanding and broaden my perspective. I have nothing against anyone and can learn from anyone.
  10. Oakspear... It's what is not posted that is seen. Though I have posted on other forums rather generically, so as not to limit the unlimited. Remember wisdom in part is not revealing all you know. allan, Not sure if a watch analogy would apply. Though it's basic idea can relate.....
  11. aaahhhh.... Now that's a deep subject, and has been quite the enlightenment.A deeper research and open mindedness could reveal more then expected. What if it was possible to put these things together? Granted it will not reveal itself all at one time. The human mind and condition couldn't handle it all at once. Though some are more adept then others.
  12. Goey, Proof to the individual themselves, not necessarily proof to someone else. Does that help?
  13. Garth, What if "faith" is something not considered yet? Of course I see your blind faith position, but what if itr wasn't blind faith. But something that is really seen?
  14. So....basically it's proof that is absent or needed-correct? btw, Goey glad to see ya again
  15. Wondering about those who think there is no God. Any kind of basic logic to this?
  16. yeah that either/or sucks-why not look at things from many pov's?
  17. hmmm...yeah Eve was deceived but Adam knew what he was doing seems there is always someone or some thing trying to make things black and white and still there are some who see more then 2 colors-which is kind of one
  18. you know nothing, oldies, about what Adam did
  19. As I recall Paul went to Jerusalem to teach them Christ. That is making amends and teaching and doing forgiveness. On the other hand. VPW knew he was wrong, set up a doctrine to continue his wrongs, knowing it was wrong. If VPW was truly sorry he would have burned down TWI before he died, and he could have too. But he didn't, knowing that Craig was doing the same wrongs he was doing and more. And it was widespread adultery, rape and forcing abortions. It continued throughout his ministry and got worse as more and more "leaders" participated. So NO VPW didn't repent or was he sorry for the wrongs committed by the EVIDENCE that is very clear. VPW should have gone over session 3-the integrity of the Word a bit. VPW had no integrity of his word. He was a liar and a thief who stole peoples lives and used them for his own self gratification. Not caring for the consequences of those lives he ruined and of the some who took their own lives. There is no excuse for his actions no matter what he taught-right or wrong. And most-I'd say 95% of what he taught was not Truth, but an oppurtunity to gain and exploit his followers. 1 Corinthians 11-it is a shame for a man to have long hair. It is a shame for a man to have such a following of people. Instead of teaching them the Word of God to the point that they could handle it themselves, VPW kept everyone following him and not the Word of God. That is evidence right there that he was not teaching the truth or the new birth. The woman, representing the spirit of God is to be followed, that's why it says it's a glory for a woman to have long hair. There you have a little bit of the truth of what GOD wants and not what man wants. Nature itself teaches the Word to those LISTENING.
  20. Danny, Wouldn't certain writings reflect a growing in spiritual understanding? In other words as Paul grew in Christ his style could change. Not saying that they were not written by Paul or someone else. But that it was to the individual addressed to and relating to their understanding.
  21. Lol Goey...and I'm laughing with you not against you. Peace
  22. Perhaps you forgot the context. So here is a look into what it means and that is what was being discussed was it not?
  23. Well...lol...glad you answered. And It was an attempt to have you see for yourself that not all understand Jesus Christ the same way not that it's a different Jesus Christ. Not saying "a different Jesus" like some sort of devil spirit like we were taught in the way. But to raise the point that you are the one pulling out without wanting to know more or even inquiring as to the content of the posts. And there you go calling me a weasel. Whatever man. Why do you talk like that? I have not called you any names at all or put you down in anyway. I said you don't understand, and that is exactly what you said. Along with other unnecessary comments.
  24. That's what you said before you edited it. But it matters not, you can't seem to make sense of it anyway. Why not ask questions or not? Your privilege of course.
