CWF...Lindy...thanks... Ya know I didn't know what would happen when I decided to bare my soul here at this place. I've been hanging around here for so long that it seemed the place to do it. Of course I hesitated...self doubt I suppose. I've learned that answers lie not in doctrinal beliefs (as I have been told) but rather deep within the hearts of men and women. For therein are the issues of life, love and God Himself. As the planet continues to fill maybe more and more people will actually open up to each other and find comfort within each other. At night I work at the local school as a custodian. The few hours I have with some of the teachers before they leave for the day have been quite a learning and loving experience. They wear their hearts on their sleeves. They have to, because you can't hide much from kids, especially junior high kids. Most of them know my kids and have had them in their classes. So they know me too, and even more so now. When some ask how I'm doing, it's hard for me to hide the answer. And we have had some wonderful talks about many things. One teacher in particular has helped me more then she will probably ever know. Love pours out from every word she speaks. I've told her how much I appreciate her too. And she just continues to be herself and live her life. Had a problem with one of the other night custodians who hates me-spiritually based I believe-(there are 3 of us at night in different parts of the building) and took it to the Principal. She just about read my mind...so much so that she brought tears to my eyes. Told me some things to avoid and how to play it smartly. Glad I went to her with it. The other 2 day custodians are like brother and sister to me as all should be. During the summer months when school is out we all work day shift and I do windows on saturdays. It's like a vacation compared to spring and fall. Damn-we lived such a sheltered life under twi's heavy hand of oppresion. Missed out on so much....I'd probably have a real career by now instead of working these other jobs. But I'm thankful for where I'm at at this point and looking forward to things to come. My wife, God bless her heart, never bought into and got caught by pfal's web. She believes in God but didn't go for most of the rap. Man I sure do love her with all my heart. She doesn't understand a lot of what I've gone through and am going through but she loves me with all of her heart too. I don't know how or when or why it happened, but I believe the hand of the Lord is with us and on this little ole place called Grease Spot Cafe. "Why" ....i believe everyone's thoughts help everyone....
-
i wonder why though..to know God's thoughts.. einstein had some hobbies huh.. shoot, mine for so many years was pfal, bible and twi -then blowing it apart in my head...successfully not sure what to do these days. work at night and day during the window season (resys mostly) a hobby...hmmmm...usually cost some money.. but worth it i'm sure.. friends? used to have some.. have some here i believe.. btw-the boys helping me today cut my time in half on the job good boys they are..they have a lot of love in their hearts.. i don't think you sounded selfish at all Danny i think it's time to do things like you suggested still love learning God/JC/HS but need to break away for some time at times thankful for what the Lord has done... he must like us-lol-to spend so many words on us maybe i'll look up some scripture on "why" when i get around to it "But what point would you like to make or pursue during the remainder of your brief sojourn on this planet? If you rewind through your memories, chances are you'll recognize it as clear as day - that which you would like to do that brings to you personally the greatest joy and and thrill and satisfaction. It may not even have anything to do with "God", but it certainly may have everything to do with who you are." such freedom of thought is refreshing and encouraging

..yes....finding it....service-yeah... so much of my love and satisfaction is in it... ...finding it...with much tribulation... will seem a small thing in times to come... ..but the love we get to take with us... tomorrow my boys are working with me on a job for the first time-they are looking forward to it -tears of joy to have them with me...time is so short... in this life...
-
Danny Your words lighten my soul...every one of them. I will read them a few times... from the depth of my heart thanks
-
(posting from work) thanks song.... hope i didn't offend you def i know you were comparing that book with pfal and not me it must be for love... anything else seems pointless some seem to just want to know more than someone else..i don't know.. whats the point in that kinda stuff... maybe i'm just in some kind of mood... have been for sometime now-so i ask the questions still stand though...
-
and please don't equate or compare my thinking with pfal...please spare me the grief... i've distanced myself so far from it, i don't care to hear about it anymore... once again.....not to brawl.... peace
-
not even a hint as to what it's about def? what's it done for you and how? I barely have time to sleep, much less find some book. but thanks for your input... peace
-
Why do even pursue a knowledge of God? Why do we care to know about this Father? To know Spirit and spiritual things. Is it for life after death? What's the point of it all? I'm not trying to start a brawl. Just asking for your thoughts. I know very little that keeps me going. It's hard to stay in the pursuit when so much is against it. But I've seen enough to know it's real. The grind of life is wearing me down. Working too much too. But I got to take care of my family. Loneliness is getting to me. Got to get quiet and peaceful more often. Is it a pursuit? a quest? a journey? Are we after rewards? A pat on the back from Jesus Christ? In it for ourselves? Or is it just for love? For others? I'll check back on this after work...or the next day...or the next...

The Way's views on life/death before Adam

Thanks Tom If we just go to the word with love as the base of understanding and not fear, it will make a lot more sense imo. I refuse to live in fear anymore, I chose love.
-
This darn thing still eats at me. And I've been told that I let things eat at me sometimes. Shouldn't let it, but it does. Vince is not the Lord, neither is James or Peter or Paul or John or anyone else. The bible is not the Lord either. Jesus Christ is Lord. Don't worry about "judgments". Our attorney has it covered. Twi really screwed peoples brains over on the bible. Some should just let it set on the shelf for a while and let it collect dust. Instead of taking it and beating people up with it. Just live love the best you can and don't worry about it. We will all fall of the love horse at times, shoot just get back on, it's an easy ride. A whole lot easier on the mind then trying to force scriptures into producing bondage.
-
hmmmmm, no responses....don't know what that means... I know some would rather have a nice tidy little set of rules rather then living love. I hope this made sense to some. love

Thanks for picking up on that CWF. This is the new testament. This is faith with works. This is how we assure our hearts before Him. This is how all will know Him from the least to the greatest. Noone will need to teach it to you because He lives in your heart. Love is giving not taking. It's power, love energizing faith. We love. Some can't understand love without sex. They just can't see it. They will never understand it and get past their own lusts. And it's a shame. Or some see love as a wimpy type thing. That's not what God's love is. God is Love. Christ is love. This is God's chance to show you what he is made of in you. That Christ/God that lives within, that reaches out and touches those who need answers, healing and deliverance. And you are not the one doing it, it's that love that lives in your heart that has burned that selfishness away. Those looking for it will find it. There was no "leader" of the first century church. No one man who was in charge. Christ is the head of the body and love is the blood that flows through it. Jesus said I and my Father are one. It's not a figure of speech. One with the Father and one with love. He's living love. This how Jesus could take the beating and torture he went through for mankind and give us life. Because he is living Love, the Word in the flesh.
-
Yeah...such closeness with the Lord can be a frightening thought. That's why love is so important to understand and live. Without it we would surely be lost into a never ending battle of what we are to do and not do. And end up just giving up or get into telling people laws to live by. One of the most dynamic and astounding statements Jesus said is; Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God Pure in heart...no other motive but love and a deep desire to know. Not for personal gain or power over people, but for love-loving Him because he loved us first. --- Proverbs 30:12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. 13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. 14 There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men. Lets not be like this....

One more thing on love... Love is to do what the lord says.... Let's get in tune with that first, and not get into making what Paul, Peter and the rest of those who wrote the bible into rules. What they wrote was to specific people at specific times in their lives. Remember it's for our learning. And what the lord says is for you to do, or learn and/or help someone, not for you to tell someone else to do. Of course we point out things that will hurt people-that is love too.

I feel like I've left this thread hanging in mid air....which is ok I guess, but let's add a little more to it... Look what John said about Jesus- John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. He took it away and some keep trying to give it back to you. Ya know I think most of the time faithfulness is not doing things more than doing things. And faithfulness to your calling? Who really knows what their calling is completely. It's something you grow into. Faith...that unseen factor that's alive and real. Some how we've been lead to believe that everything is just going to pop into our heads and bingo you got everything you need for life and godliness. You do have everything you need but realizing it is something the Lord will teach you and it will not go against the bible, with the help of others who pick up on your seeking trail, and it will go right along with bible and life itself. But we need to open up a little and not be so rigid on doctrines which men come up with. Everyone knows there are contradictions in the bible. Those are on the surface. We need to see more than what's on the surface. John 7:45 Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought him? 46 The officers answered, Never man spake like this man. "Never man spake like this man" Not like anything they have ever heard. And I'm sure they heard a lot from the chief priests and pharisees. Certainly worthy of considering and reflection. John 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law "him which believeth in Jesus" Seems to me we should consider what Jesus said. He said believe on me....there's more to it than at first glance and it's not a code of rules and regulations. He said whatever he hears from his Father he says. That's in the here and now. But lets try not to go on tangents on one thing or another. Patience, temperance, knowing..... Peace Faith... Most important-Love.

I suppose i need to make one more point clear. Jesus paid the price for sin completely. If you do not believe that then that man of sin will kick your ***, it will eat you alive. It happened and Jesus did it for real. You can count on it. Forgiveness is real. (and don't even go to that "license to sin" crap, this is for those who are seeking)
-
Yeah...noone can get it all at once. We carry around with us this dead body, the old man. Once we shed this mortal body and have the completeness of the new spiritual one, which lies underneath, we will know even as we are known. The battle is that we do not let that selfish old man nature rule. Let Christ rule in your hearts. And we will all blow it at times, not to worry though. God loves us, and will not forsake us. Comfort your hearts, we will see it.

Man is not God. When he trys to be the judge he's trying to be God. Let God show you the way. He is within us. We were made that way. God is our father. Adam didn't loose spirit, just lost sight of it and made himself bigger then God, he didn't eat of the tree of life which is Christ. Jesus opened the door for all to enter. But the way is narrow. Make yourself small, meek, humble to enter. Love is the ticket my friend. Not rules and regulations. 2 Thessolonians 2:1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming This all happens within the mind. That selfish man of sin making himself god has to be taken out of the way. Loose yourself to find the Christ within who is our life. Then you will see the Lord coming, that Spirit within. And that brightness will do a few things. And it happens over time not all at once. Noone could handle it all at once. It's a never ending unfolding revealing, if we stay in love, eat it slowly and let it digest, don't take on more then you can handle. Where we can keep our balance is staying in love. And not fall back into selfishness and make what you have seen a god itself. the day of Christ is at hand a little different perspective huh? anyone who wants to e-mail me can

What can we learn from 1 Corinthians 13? That's the more excellent way. Look at what some people have to do to get back to love after what twi did to them. Raped, encouraged suicide, talked 'em into abortions and more. If they can do it they will be rewarded. It takes WORK to love. And that work goes on between the ears. Even if they can't quite bring themselves to love on certain enemies, it does not mean that they will loose eternal life, God still loves them and will never stop loving them. God looks on the heart, remember, not the outward appearance of works. Some things may seem like the work of the Lord, but looking a little deeper, look for the love. Got a bible on your computer? Look up the phrase "in love". 1 John 4: 16And we have known and believed (past tense) the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 17Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19We love him, because he first loved us fear hath torment perfect love casteth out fear pass the time of your sojourning here in fear-fear of not walking in love. Without love your works are meaningless. Faith because of love, believing because of love, works because of love. Not by threats of loosing eternal life. We see that God loved us first when he Gives that eternal life-he will not take it back. he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him Yes, dwell in it, bake in it, relax in it. Have confidence in it. 18My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. 19And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. 20For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. 21Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. 22And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 23And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 24And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. but in deed and in truth-can only be done from love The commandment is love-that's how we assure our hearts. And dwell in him-dwell in that love. Then from there you can do good works. Good works is not shoving laws down peoples throat. Who's deciding what faithfulness is? God is. Man should mind his own ******* business and leave other people alone on what faithfulness is.
-
Love and judgement don't clash. If that work is not done with love it's not a work that will abide anyway. Love is the work. If it's not done with love it will not do anything good for anyone. "hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ" If you don't stay with love you will loose that hope and return to something else. Doesn't say you will loose eternal life. I respond because you brought my name up. Not in to fight, but for love.

"Even if someone said something today, as they were moved by the holy spirit, would only apply then." rethinking this statement Would only have Life in it and apply then. Could still learn from it though.
-
CWF, here's a little more to consider.... We LEARN from the bible and other sources as well. But we live by the spirit. It's God who is Spirit who is Christ in us that guides us and that will give life and love will energize it. And shoot, just live love and don't worry about it. We are not to be GUIDED by letters written long ago. It should not be our rule book. Love is the rule, the balance, the measuring instrument. Where's the love in what they are doing? (done for tonight, it's been a long day)
-
Even if someone said something today, as they were moved by the holy spirit, would only apply then. Don't take it and build a freaking ministry around it, worship it, and make it an idol. Idolatry leads to sacrificing. And it would be people's lives that are sacrificed. It happened in twi and it will happen with V & Co. if they continue in this idolatry!
