  5. was telling this story in chat last nite thought it would be appropriate for this thread My youngest son was supposed to be at a neighbors house playing and it was past the time that we told him to be home. So i went to get him. He wasn't there. So I came back home and got my oldest son and went looking for him. Cuz my oldest might know where he would be. Still couldn't find him after an hour and it was getting dark. My wife was really upset now. Sitting on the front porch. Crying a lot. "Where's my baby!" Was the only words she could get out. We got back in the car and went looking again. And we had the cell phone with us so she could call if he showed up. I was near calling the police. Well...she called. Could hardly understand her she was crying so much. He had come home riding his bike from another neighbors house 2 doors down. I could even hear my youngest crying in the background. I got home and they were both still crying. My youngest said he wanted to be grounded for life! Still crying. We said no. You have to hug us twice as much now. And remember to tell us when you are going to someone elses house and watch the time. So we punished him. He hasn't forgotten. Still hugs us all a lot. From the heart. We all do a lot of hugging around here. Just holding a child does a lot for the parent and the child i believe. Bad things in the child seem to melt away. They are 13 and 15 now but we still do a lot of hugging. Always will. Punishment from God may not be what we think. I think we punish ourselves worse than God would.

  7. focus danielson focus aaaahhhhh, now show me paint the fence
  8. David It's hard to take you seriously on this subject since you put so many assumptions about people in it, and accusations of posters as a whole. Maybe if you stayed with your own topic and would not be drawn away by other things that are on your mind I could actually find some worth to the subject. All this other stuff you bring up should be it's own topic. Please start them, if it's troubling you or just simply on your mind.

  11. exc your wisdom is quite illuminating owing your life to any thing kills freedom
  12. good post oakspear i wonder sometimes how it would have been different without those years in but then again i got so much now and ahead that i don't stay there long about the only thing i can say that was good about twi and it's teachings is that it got me reading a lot of bible but their view was so narrow-minded like you i believe they-twi-were wrong on so many many many things in the bible any real good was so buried under that it was near impossible to find but somehow i've managed to find a few things good in it and look at many more places now for "the right stuff" not sure if i worded all that well i hope you get my meaning
  13. i don't know Mr. H everyone has the good bad and ugly in their past and present i think twi or not, we're not alone we can at least determine our future better we can be the wiser for it and possibly help others if we want to there are other things in my life besides twi that i wish i could change but can't so...we move on
  14. i don't see this in the scripture again-help me out a little here we will all be there def... take care of who you might be telling this to-your pov-you might really hurt someone... and i don't think you want to do that
  15. yyyeeeeaaaahhhhhh even in the worst of em...that's the point ain't it so def before you go listing verses about the wicked being cut off and all that... consider that it might be a what and not a who that will be cut i think of those verses about plucking your eye out if it offends-better to enter into the kingdom with one eye then not enter at all...and the rest of that which Jesus was saying about it --- so if you think that people are going to burn in hell forever -who should we be telling? should you be telling me? or maybe me telling you? hmmmmmmmmmm hell hell hell hello?
  16. in reference to hell where do you see this
  17. i see your points garth
  18. Garth is thinking of individuals that are involved or have been involved-not the organization as a whole. And his will to help protect these people from more harm by this label. Am I right Garth?
  19. Happy for you and your family psalmy. In the south too, I'm jealous! Say hi to your husband for me! Clay
  20. imaginative and educational toys and games for recess and free time if they need em-probably do the principal and teachers would probably know
  21. figuratively Lazarus and the rich man could be the SAME person, chew on that a bit but still it won't go on forever yeah, heaven and hell-pretty close
  22. maybe this is what's troubling you def once again it's nothing about a forever situation just handling this from a literal perspective
  23. that doesn't say anything about being in hell forever
  24. since hell seems to come up here Proverbs 15:11 Hell and destruction are before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men? Psalm 139:7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? 8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. heaven and hell not very far away from each other
  25. i think this says a lot of what the point is Moses said some cool things, and the Prophets many of whom we have never heard I believe. Numbers 11:24And Moses went out, and told the people the words of the LORD, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the tabernacle. 25And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease. 26But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp. 27And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp. 28And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them. 29And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD’S people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit upon them! prophets are still around...some don't listen-some do... it takes reflection on the words, considering them, that's all, believing will come, it'll fit...fall into place, the more we listen to each other
