anyone game for a deep chat session?
CM replied to sirguessalot's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
deep but easy mstar, and you know them west coasters stay up late, lol my experience has been good with this sort of thing -
forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Which is within. How is this done? Something that apparently is attainable now. Personally I have deactivated pfal and it's influence on my life and dismantled it's power. It took a lot of help from people who know. Then I could look at it with a new eye and hear it with a new ear. And the experiences that were in the past have become a catalyst instead of a stumbling block.

There you go again. Blaming everyone else for your problems. You are the one that keeps bringing yourself up and not pfal. These are the questions you choose to answer. Noone is forcing you to answer anything. You want this to be about YOU and how great YOU are for coming up with this "thesis". You want to be served and worshipped. It ain't going to happen here! -

Yes Mike.... hmmmmmm yes and you have never ripped phrases out of context? Not that HCW did but you sure did. Might want to rethink these- "every word I have written to you is true" "I didn't write the book" And clarify how you arrived at such a conclusion that you have applied these phrases to mean something totally different then what they were intended to mean. -
With Apologies to Jesus and the Trinity

I think comparing John with Genesis is a good thing. In the beginning was the word...and God said.... John speaks of the beginning -skips the entire old testament till John the baptist. 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. -

Well tough **** fella, you are here and I'm a talkin' to ya. Put me on ignore cuz you can't handle what I got. It's too Hot for you! VPW couldn't do it either. VPW turned his back against the truth. And you don't know what you are talking about, as far as the rest of what you just said. You have not got a clue. Already done this. And what you think is the Father - isn't. It don't work, it will never work....EVER. That is if you really want Truth. And you don't have any authority to dictate anything to me. I have the FREEDOM to choose what and who to listen to. You do not. -

Yeah well I faced them and beat em. Burn em and you will see what holds up. Not many are willing to try their faith. They rely on books and wisdom of the world, and applied techniques of scripture study. How about the heart Mike. What really can it see? You want to dare to look or hide behind your books? -

What is Your Thinking on Interpretation of the Bible?
CM replied to T-Bone's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
Here again I believe this is in the present tense of the ones talking to each other. Getting an understanding of what these people were experiencing and living would be helpful in understanding the points being made and the truths discussed. These are letters. -
What is Your Thinking on Interpretation of the Bible?
CM replied to T-Bone's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
Looking at the content of the context it seems to be talking about the present tense and not the actual written scriptures. But rather Timothy's understanding of them- "from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures" -he has known the scriptures. Not many could say this in my opinion. "which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus" Present tense, therefore I think it is "breathing" rather then breathed-past tense. That is if one wants to say it means God-breathed. And it seems to me that there is a lot more to it then what is seen in black and white but what was actually happening in their lives. -

"given by inspiritation of God" would be better translated God breathing -
What is Your Thinking on Interpretation of the Bible?

Great post TheEvan Tom, you make some good points. Problem is the keys were elevated above the Bible itself. Which put the Word of God in a box so to speak. If it didn't "fit" with the keys then it was discarded. I think the Word of God will interpret itself to the reader by the holy spirit itself, when the reader is ready to hear it. A spiritual awakening of revelation as to what the spirit is saying to you personally. And that will not contradict what has been learned before but rather build upon the good that lives in the heart which is where the Spirit, the Comforter, Christ is. It's not the words on the pages that will give life but the word believed in the heart that gives life. Then you have life...the word of life-living breathing..powerful words. And there are no keys that will unlock this word of life, it will only come from God himself. This is how the word of life is so well protected from fools. 1 John 5:6This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. 9If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. This heaven and earth is what longs to sprout from the seed within. The witness of God is Greater then any keys that men have developed. -

no response mike? thinkin it over? don't even want any kind of clarification? btw-didn't Paul have Jesus talking to him before vp says he got born again? and Cornelius and his household heard from God before Peter came? ....... how bout this one "either there is no interpretation or it must interpret itself" both are wrong the Lord opens the eyes and ears to the scriptures first opening the eyes and ears of the spirit that is within and things will come together most likely not when you are reading them --- good post doojable because that is where it is at in the every day living and listening and doing keeping the ears and eyes open to hear the Lord comes from unlikely sources sometimes from people like us loving and living and looking now is the day of salvation the words are there from living people all through Acts this is seen -

ok wth... 1st off he needs to be seen as offered-Christ and "every" is your all i presume vp does distinguish the all-vaguely giving room for interpretation i suppose but to take this statement and go to the points that mike has is ridiculous
