Thank you {{{{{Belle}}}}! Right back atcha! :)--> My roomie and I were watching Dr Northrup's PBS special "Mother-Daughter Wisdom" the other night...which is how I found out about her. She brings all of the loose ends of life together and helps one shape them into a fine tapestry. It was almost like some PTs I've been involved in here at GSC! :D--> One thing I struggled with the most after twi was what to do with my spirituality. As has been noted here at the Cafe on several occasions, not much is satisfying after twi. Anyway, Dr Northrup seems to handle this aspect of health in such a manner as to be inoffensive and non-preachy. It's quite refreshing. Also, I feel as though she offers a sort of "how to" some of the things presented in "What the Bleep...".

(((((ExC))))) How's things? Lots going on, huh? Sigh. One day at a time...or go totally freakin' insane...those are my options. LOL ;)--> Anyway, stress and illness raise blood sugar levels dramatically...more so than foods. The absolute best diet for a diabetic is 150-200 calories every 1.5-2 hours. Don't have a tater and a brownie at the same time...very bad! But have .5 tater at one meal and .5 brownie at another. As mj said, it's not so much what one eats, as it is how much one eats at a time. Fruits and juices should be eaten very sparingly and only when sugars are below 90...from my personal experience. Canned fruits should not be in heavy syrup. Juices should not have sugar and/or syrup added. The best option I have found is Ocean Spray Cranberry juices with sweeteners instead of sugars. (Not every market carries these...so you may have to call around.) Again, mainly be careful on how much is eaten at one time. Gosh and golly...such things put upon your plate! You must be very, very strong and very, very reliable and very, very capable for the universe to entrust you with such honor. :)--> Oh...and Watered Garden knows what she's doing quite well! Good person to PT with on this. :)-->

Sad to say, but I think kids should not be allowed to play around the 'hood without supervision until they are big enough to defend themselves and cognitive enough to know when a situation is dangerous or possibly dangerous...and fast enough to run like hell when needed. It drove my son nuts, but he was saved from some very "lewd fellows of the baser sort". Today, he's glad I put my foot down.

TWI was caught in aiding, abetting and harboring pedophiles only once... The truth is that it was far more common than anyone could possibly imagine.

Just before I got involved with twi I was involved with what was then called Moses David/Children of God. That was back in '73. My friend and I went to a "meeting"...a big one...held at a local ball park. One of the pamphlets we received was a teaching titled "Holy Holes". It had drawings of a little boy and a little girl, both about 7 or 8 years old. The diagram was pointing out all of their "Holy Holes". Yep...it included vagina on the little girl and anus on both the boy and the girl. The "teaching" was about how holes are holy and are to be used as holy sphincters to "receive holiness". Even I figured there was something wrong with this and turned the pamphlet over to my parents...who promptly called the FBI. The day they came to get me (we had arranged that I would crawl out my bedroom window and run off with the group), I was sooooooooo glad my parents had had me watched. The two guys who came to get me were promptly arrested...as were as many of the group that could be found. The problem the law faced then was that once someone joined, they were required to take on a new name...and never answer to their old names. It was a pedophile ring back then. Sigh.

This is my most favorite subject ever! reikilady...yeah...bending time...it's too kewl, isn't it?! Who mentioned Star Gate? Now there's a show that makes me think. When I have very important choices to make, I take a peek at the time/space continuum (for lack of a better term) landscape to see where each choice could lead. Oh {{{{{Oak!}}}}} Tears are running down my cheeks and I have goosebumps I'm so pleased for you!!!!! This is the first holiday season my husband has been able to have a conversation with his oldest son in over 20 years. It's also the first holiday season I've spent with my family in 30 years. These reunions are just awesome!!!!
