Yes, Rich was not only involved in what happened in Alaska, he was one of the chief perpetrators/ringleaders. No, Rich was not new to twi, just new to Alaska. He had perpetrated his crimes against children in other twi areas. TWI simply moved him around and around to different areas, never warning the parents in the new areas, allowing Rich to run official twi Children's Fellowships in his home where he and others perpetrated their crimes.

Rich being 'most wanted' makes national news but not a word in Anchorage? Mo, this just proves that Alaska is NOT REALLY looking for him...that Alaska NEVER REALLY wanted to buck the 'powers that be' in twi...that what you went through at the hands of Alaskan authorities REALLY DID happen. Maybe we here at GSC can bring pressure to bear on the Alaskan authorities...? Maybe some well-written and informative emails to the Abrams Report would help Alaska to get motivated to bring Rich into compliance?

So here goes...(me in bold) Although this question may appear to some to be overly simplistic and 'unlearned', it is at the root of the problem with twi, imo. To thank God for twi is, imo, like thanking God that there's a hell because otherwise Jesus could never have descended into hell and led captivity captive. It's giving the glory to the organization and not God. If God were being given the glory, then the being thankful would sound just like the scriptures. Something like, "Thank You, God, that even in the midst of hell(twi) You did not forget me and leave me there. You are an awesome God to descend to the place of Your enemies and lead me out with my life." God Almighty does not stomach such things kindly! All throughout the bible are warnings to those who have authority over others. Warnings not to lead people into sin. Warnings not to bind the ox. Warnings not to abuse one's authority. Warnings not to abuse one's charges. God set it in His order to have those who lead the fold. These people have specific responsibilities with the lives, hearts and minds of those over whom they have been given charge. It is NOT a folly or foolishness or lack in us that subjects ourselves. It is God's design. And if we are led astray? Well, here's just one of the myriad scriptures addressing such a situation: "15 the elder and honored man is the head, and the prophet who teaches lies is the tail; 16 for those who lead this people lead them astray, and those who are led by them are swallowed up. 17 Therefore the Lord does not rejoice over their young men, and has no compassion on their fatherless and widows; for every one is godless and an evildoer, and every mouth speaks folly. For all this his anger is not turned away and his hand is stretched out still. 18 For wickedness burns like a fire, it consumes briers and thorns; it kindles the thickets of the forest, and they roll upward in a column of smoke. 19 Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts the land is burned, and the people are like fuel for the fire; no man spares his brother. 20 They snatch on the right, but are still hungry, and they devour on the left, but are not satisfied; each devours his neighbor's flesh," (Isaiah 9:15-20 Revised Standard) Doesn't that just absolutely describe twi? Read that whole chapter and see that God's wrath is kindled against such leaders. Yes, the judgment falls upon the followers...while we still follow. How could it not? We are participating in an evil organization. But the bible is also chock full of how God delivers out of the hands of such leaders. Psalms is all about God's deliverance from such leaders. And GSC attests to the GOODNESS once delivered from such leaders. Because we were never taught right thinking about thankfulness. It really is that simple. You see, from the beginning we were taught to be thankful to twi, vpw, etc. Once that habit was established in our thinking, ever so slyly we were led to shift it to being thankful for twi, vpw, etc. Finally, this error in thinking led to, "Thank God for twi, vpw, etc. or I would not have learned 'the word' or of 'god's love' without them/it." Do you see the problem with this crooked thinking? It is simply a bald-faced lie. The bible says the exact opposite! The bible says that if you ask bread, you will not be given a stone. The bible says that if you seek, you will. The bible says that He never leaves nor forsakes us. TWI used these words of hope and comfort to make itself seem to be the thing for which we should be thankful. TWI is the stone saying, "Be thankful for me! You could have had nothing at all." As long as I thought the way twi taught me to think, any thankfulness to God was hard for me to hear. All those years of being given a stone and told to be thankful that I was given something instead of nothing... Well, it screwed up my thinking to the point that I figured that if a stone was all that God had to offer, then forget God. And forgetting God, my dear rascal, is the absolute bottom line purpose of crooked teaching. TWI not only teaches an absent Christ, twi teaches the doctrines of devils that lead to a forgetting of God. In the end, what these people are really thankful for is not God, but a forgetting of God. Shell, I had to get out of the mental place I was in concerning those on this thread who want to play twig leader with Mo. The posts of mine that I erased were personal attacks. Not only is that against the rules here, but that is simply stooping to a level I need not stoop. Mo's experiences are highly documented and links to the actual documentation of one of the records for one of the perps is posted here and on the Open Forum. Others have come forward to collaborate Mo's experiences and to tell of what the perp(s) have done in other areas...proving that twi, with full knowledge that they were aiding and abetting, simply moved pedophiles from one area to another while silencing parents...often with threats to the very lives of these parents. All of this and yet there are people posting that Mo somehow brought it all upon herself and is still to blame because she has the courage to face this crap and tell what happened anyway. Well, that gets to me! It's twi all over again. And, gawddammit, Mo's been through enough of that crap! Me too. All of us, in fact. But it is one thing for me to participate in the telling of what happened...quite another for me to revert to my twi persona and get just as insulting, blaming and finger-pointing. So I just had to stop. Ya know?

Too bad there are no laws prohibiting offenders from having an authority over children. Oh...wait...THERE ARE...it's just that offenders like Rich are protected by others and, therefore, get away with not registering and have many victims presented to them on a silver platter.

This is exactly the mentality behind twi's 'spiritually mature enough to handle it' shtick. Sigh. *************************** White Dove, I fully believe that if men like Howard Allen, vpw and lcm were never a part of the structure of twi, they would not have been able to get away with what they got away with...or even perpetrate it in the first place...at least not as far and as often as they did. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. TWI's structure was designed (either by purpose or by accident...I don't know...but after hearing UH the few times I heard him, I think it was by design...but not to the ends it was taken) to give the bod absolute power. With few exceptions, there has not been a person on the bod...or in any 'leadership' position in twi...who could function effectively outside of twi's structure...out in the 'real world'...without some major personal thinking/personal habits overhauls. This is not just found in twi, either. Pat Robertson is going down a very similar path his predecessor went down: thinking he has the right, the authority, the power to say and do as he darned well pleases...regardless of the rest of humanity...or what the bible says. This is also not a 'new' or 'modern' problem. Look at King David in the bible...or any of the many other kings. Or the Pharisees. I guess what I'm saying boils down to 'love the sinner, hate the sin'. (But not like Fred Phelps does it!!!!) There is individual sin...and then there is group sin. Most often our minds tend towards looking at 'mob mentality' when we think of group sin. But in actuality, 'mob mentality' is not the norm. However, there is another kind of group sin that happens every day, thousands of times per day, and is so commonplace that most of us are active (either passively or aggressively) participants and don't even realize it. It's found in every group of people everywhere. It's simple selfishness. How is selfishness a group sin? If the group did not tolerate it, it would not happen. There's oh so much more I can say about this! But I think it's going to be easier to communicate what I'm trying say if there's a back-and-forth going on.
