Cool, Even if it wasn't repeating, every time someone goes to a thread where you have posted, they will hear your audio signoff, thus putting it in the realm of repeating sounds. Sorry to douse on your parade. :D-->
-
First off, that can wind up being annoying *real* quick to those who read your posts alot, as repeating sounds on the internet are usually viewed with distain. Two, either you can put your sound in a java applet and include it via an 'url' statement, or post a link that would bring up a player to play it with, which would make it more of a burden for the message board visitor reading your posts, plus it would do it unvoluntarily, which further raises the ire of the visitor. In short, I'd advise against it. :)-->

Plus this should mean an end to the Frist Medical Diagnosis by Video © means of determining medical illness and brain damage. :D-->

GarthP2000 replied to Stayed Too Long's topic in Open
... and right into the army. If that isn't a motivator to crank up them grades, I don't know what is. -
Aren't they the ones that go "Yip Yip Yip Yip Yip Yip Yip Yip" that wind up driving you *nuts*?

You can't download any kind of upgrade to any of Microsoft's operating systems; you'll have to buy them at the computer store. Best bet is to buy a copy of Windows XP (just skip windows 98, and do NOT get Windows ME!) and do a clean install. That means that you'll most likely have to backup ALL the documents and projects that she's been working on, and reinstall/upgrade all the applications. Hope this helps.

Unless you have your website e-commerce section custom made and/or putting it to serious use, you don't have to spend much money on a 'shopping cart' site. There are websites out there that can process your orders and provide related services for a very reasonable amount. Cafepress.com is one well known example. Hope this helps.

How in the h*ll did THIS psycho get inside this country??

I know that simply 'how he looks' in itself isn't a valid premise on judging how dangerous they are; I was saying that half-jokingly. Half-jokingly I say, because, I dunno, but there are people that when you even just look at them, your instincts just go into red-alert mode. Call it a hunch, gut feelings, whatever, but the initial look at that guy's pic just had my skin crawl. I don't think that it was his face, perse, but what that face seemed to say. Then again, the fact that he was carrying not just a bloody chainsaw, but those other (potential) weapons theu airport security should have had them take more of a restraining action than they did. Be that as it may, I'm glad that they have the wacko in custody now, and I hope its under maximum security. Mstar1, if anybody is supposed to get a lobotomy, it should be Mr. Psycho there. -
Man with Chain Saw Allowed to Enter US Take a gander at his face, and tell me how in the dickens *anybody* at airport security coulda missed that there was definitely something seriously wrong with the dude. Guess he dind't have a box cutter or have a towel around his head, huh? --> P.S., no, this is NOT another caption contest, altho' I can think of plenty to go with his pic.

Creation Museum To Open
GarthP2000 replied to Stayed Too Long's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
Gee Jerry, You make it sound as if the creation account in the Bible has only been recently been allowed the 1st Amendment right to *finally* be allowed to be aired in public, --- never mind that its been aired publically for the last, ohh say, 2-3,000 years or so. --> Oh and it isn't just a matter of 'letting all sides have their say' either, despite protestations of 'censorship' to the contrary. It's a matter of portraying something as scientifically proven/theorized as opposed to making a POV based squarely upon the "it is written" model of authority, a POV which goes against the scientific model of letting the evidence/logic determine what is true/most likely factual. I wonder if they'll have Dr. Kenneth 'light slows down over the years/there were dinosaurs in the Garden of Eden' Hovind as one of their guest entertain--err I mean sales pitch--ahhh I mean speakers. :D--> -
Chas, Overall I like the color theme and artistry, especially the 'Cats in the Cradle' art. IM me if you want and I can give you a few tips on making it even better. :)-->

Being given a tour is one thing -- anyone will do that. A 'tour' of their books however, is something else.

How about: "Peice of ....!" I think its not just about "let's find another term to use" so much as "let's get honest about the terminology, and quite trying to hide religious intolerance behind psychological terms and overhyped fear mongering while we're dealing with the abusive groups. Hey! There ya go. How about 'spiritually abusive groups'. For one thing, that deals with the abuse more clearly (and usually with less fear mongering) than the 'cult' term. Whatever. Call it what you will. I'm just being equally skeptical from the other side as well.

Interesting that that site still uses orthodox doctrine as a determining factor as to what constitutes a 'cult', and as to what is a 'totalistic group'. I wonder if the authors of the site think that the more orthodox members of Armstrong's church are 'cultic' now? Most likely not. :(--> ... Thus my problem with the 'cult' and related terms. Just another word for 'heresy'.
