 ... ... AAccckkkkk .... HHaacckkkkk.... {{{gags & hurls}}} Holy Law of the Prophet Emeritus of THE, Garth, Number 12: "Thou Shalt NOT combine beer of any kind with sweets! Such is an Abomination to the taste glands, let alone one's stomach!!"

Hhhmmmm, did any of them write a book "Mein Katpf"?
-
Quick! While she's not expecting it, ... push her in the water!!
-
... eeeny meeny, jelly beanie, ... the spirits are about to speak!

Hhmmm. The article says "The police have issued a decree banning the sale of the pets, seen as a sign of Western influence." Apparently they don't ban another, more widespread sign of Western influence -- American $dollars$. <_<

Name that Star Trek Episode
GarthP2000 replied to GeorgeStGeorge's topic in Movies, Music, Books, Art
It's the Next Gen episode where Data is trying to convince the colonists of some planet to evacuate because the owning civilization of silicon creatures wants to populate it, but they don't want to leave, despite the threat of them being exterminated by said silicon race if they don't. Right? I know I'm right. Now, here's my quote: "I married her, because it was the logical thing to do at the time." -
(((sigh))) And soon enough, we'll be hearing Christmas muzak blaring from speakers in every grocery store, and mall, and parking lot, and radio, and ............ .......... and it's starting earlier and earlier too.

Chas, If religious organizations are (should be) free to discriminate on their hiring practices with impunity, then what the hell are they expecting federal assistance (such as that given to faith based initiatives) for? Why should that 'faith-based discrimination' be funded by the U.S. taxpayer, and supported by the Constitution? This is similar to why the Boy Scouts of America just can't discriminate agaisnt homosexuals and atheists, not when they are at least partially funded/supported by tax payer monies/facilities. Ie., your church/organization wants to discriminate? Do it on your own dime!

Question for you Ron. Why do you call Walmart 'Maomart'? No biggie, just curious.
-
You always say the sweetest things, Cynic. You ought to take these witty barbs of yours and write greeting and get well cards to sell at Walmarts. ... Kinda goes well with that cranky old lady cards that Hallmark sells. P.S., thanks for the explanation.

Perhaps I'm showing my ig'nerance here, but why would the gun (need to) be loaded when installing an external trigger lock? Wouldn't gun safety dictate that the gun should be unloaded whenever your 'installing' or otherwise attaching something to the gun? The only time you would load the gun is to test it out *after* you installed your item. Help me out here please.

I agree. I mean, what are they going to say for their public relations spiel? "We are really making a comback and moving the Word! Why we signed up all of *2* extra people for the class this year!!" ..... ((crickets chirping)) <_<
-
I know. Raf is *sooo* excited about anticipating the next Hispanic Journalists Assoc. meeting, that's how many days is left till it starts. Cuz then he'd get to make the Keynote Speech as its president.
-
Sure it did. So much of a difference from our American culture, ehh? Not exactly, especially when you read right there in the scriptures of men having multiple wives, concubines, screwing with harlots just as much as they do today (and that with no STD preventions), ... and of course, let's not forget the OT approved taking of young virgin girls for themselves during times of war with the heathen, donchaknow. Yah! A *real* haven for the Moral Majority. <_<

Local clubs and state fairs. The final resting places for once internationally known rock bands. ((snif)) :( I've seen the same happen to Steppenwolf, Uriah Heap. and (I think) Iron Butterfly. (((sigh))) Them were the days, ehh?

If your interpretation of the Greek in the scriptures is correct, then the scriptures are wrong, as the sex of the fetus is set well before birth. X-rays prove this. Medical science prove this. ... Or are you scripturally fundy enough to discard proven medical & bilogical science simply because scripture says so? (This illustrates but one of the major problems I have with creationists, but that's another topic for another day) Oh, and your example of John the Baptist doesn't deal with partial birth abortions at all. Where did you get that idea?

((wicked laughter in the background)) Never ... never ... Never!! MWUHAHAhahahahahahhahah.................... (This ranting brought to you by The First Church and Society of THE!, and its Founder, Rafael Olmeda, who secretly loves *pineapple pizza*, but is afraid to come out of the Pizza Hut closet.)
-
... and because we are all in agreement on this, ... let's make a 3 x 5 for Linda Z. ((ducking and running))

..... Yes boys and girls, this is what happens to folks who go without coffee for a whole day. Waiter! Waiter! Could you please bring over a LARGE cup of coffee over here for Mr. Dove, please? He is in *dire* need of some NOW! mmmmmmmm, ..... Now, isn't that a lot better?

Were there any actual Biblical Scholars in TWI?
GarthP2000 replied to markomalley's topic in About The Way
Using Johniam's formula of the fewer words the better, .... ... then perhaps he shouldn't say anything _at all_. Then his 'godly' wisdom would be irrefuteable. ..... Right? -
You can pin it right down to a dime, can ya Raf?
-
... and all the scientists in the back pew rejoiceth, and sayeth, "Amen!!"
-
And "Bluto", the 'science idolator' calmly proclaims, ... FOOD FIGHT!!!!
-
Ahhhh DAMN! ... Who told him about my golden bust of Einstein?? I mean, I had no idea that Johniam is so allergic to the incense that I burn unto good ol' Albert. And I was about ready to mail my tax exempt form to the IRS for my science worship too.

Psalmie doesn't argue, .... she 'discusses'.
