Grizz Bahr, (good to see ya back, by the way) Yeppers! I read that section. As a matter of fact, this site is one of my main sources that I used as a basis for all of my 'anti-mind control' tirades.

Speaking of being ((cough)) civilized, ... so since homosexuals have been around for *at least* 6,000 years, ... when is civilization going to 'dissapear'? I mean, how long does this gawd-awful process supposed to take, hmmm?

Pat, Have you heard about various people who have worked for different companies, organizations, etc. who have left those groups, and set up websites that trash, parody, or otherwise criticize their former groups. And they would give them domain names like 'www.kmartsucks.com' or 'www.ibmsux.com' or 'www.baptistsreek.org'. Why not take the same tactic as to dealing with TWI? Then, when you also put phrases like "The Way", "The Way International", etc., into different search engines, you can direct people who are looking for info on TWI to your site, w/o having to use apparently deceptive tactics like using 'thewayinternational.com' to redirect people to your site, since when people usually type in a direct domain name, they are looking for the people that they thought the domain is referring to: ie., The Way International, NOT Pat Roberge's site exposing The Way International. See THAT is one of the main points that they can nail you on, domain name wise. This particular domain name acts as a redirecter of sorts, and it is a deceptive one, for the reason I just mentioned; people are looking to go to a *specific* site; for a *specific* organization. For example, if I typed 'www.kmart.com', and I instead was redirected to some K-Mart Sucks! site, put together by some disgruntled joker who has a legit beef against K-mart, despite the validity of his complaints against K-Mart, I wouldn't like it myself. Ie., how about *I* be allowed the freedom to find out about K-Mart, the good and the bad, by myself, thank you very much? Hell, Waydale and Greasespot Cafe, while they make a play on words and terms in TWI, didn't need to use 'thewayinternational.com' to accomplish their ends. And what they accomplished have done quite a bit in exposing TWI for what it is, even while allowing its apologists (Smikeol anyone?) to post their diatribes. Voila! A perfect place for an open forum, which is the BEST thing to get people to think for themselves and encourage people to ditch TWI, wouldn't you agree? :)--> Think about that alternative for a bit.

Also realize that the ICANN (the final determiner of the legal ownership of a domain name should conflicts occur) often do not determine who owns a domain name in dispute simply on who nails it first. But rather on how the similarity and relationship of the domain name fits either of the contestants. Ie., If I register 'www.ibm.com' before International Business Machines does; if IBM contests it, too bad, so sad ... for me. Because then ICANN can then determine that I have registered that name 'in bad faith'. I believe Madonna won a case based on this legal reasoning. So no, the timing of registration isn't the final determiner. And it does look here, as Long Gone pointed out, that this case could most likely be ruled against you, Pat, as you have no direct use for the term 'thewayinternational', but TWI does. And you would be benefitting from this domain name, not in money, but in fame and noteriety, as it undoubtedly is your express purpose to use that domain name as one of your tools to 'expose TWI'. (Yeah! Right! Like they haven't been exposed already? --> Hell, they are pert near dead in the water, largely because of all of our collective efforts.) This is Yet Again an example of why one must pick one's battles carefully, and also be well equiped and informed for the battle you do take on. I think Jesus addressed that issue when he was talking about the army general counting the cost of the upcoming battle before he either commits to it, or sends an emissary to discuss terms of peace, ... lest he get his butt *smoked*. Make sure you don't get your butt smoked, Pat. ... And may I also add my voice in with the others as regards: Get an attorney! Sorry chief, but unless the schooling that you have gotten has focused on copyright and internet law, AND you have done *exceptionally* well in it, I don't think that your level of schooling will withstand TWI's already-seasoned attorneys. (Where in the hell is LarryP when you need him? :D--> ) Anywho, that's my 2 1/2 cents worth, adjusted for inflation. -

Zix, I have a recently acquired Athlon 2600 XP system with a nVidia based GeForce FX Series 128M graphics card. Do you know anything about how well that is supported? If not, then I can slways check Redhat's site. And how well stocked with apps and other Linux goodies is the current Redhat nowadays anyway? If all works well, I just might reinstall the latest Redhat on its own partition.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but one thing that I've noticed about Linux is that it doesn't keep current with the latest graphics cards and other hardware. If I'm wrong on this, which brand provides the widest support of the latest graphics hardware, etc.? I've heard that Mandrake, Red Hat, and SUSE are good candidates for this, but the last Mandrake that I installed about 5-6 years ago didn't support my well known and up to date graphics card. Any valid info would be appreciated. :)-->

Oak, It's quite evident that Smikeol has never seen Dune. :D--> Smikeol sayeth, "My curiosity is up, because I love all of my family that God called to PFAL. That’s why I am here." My reply to your MISusage of the Fallacies of Distraction: Attacking the Person: (1) the person's character is attacked (Of course it is. When the other person's character, which is supposedly part of his message, is sadly lacking) (2) the person's circumstances are noted (again, when the circumstances supposedly relate to the person's message, and does not jive with the message portrayed) (3) the person does not practice what is preached (Bingo! And contrarty to your labeling it so, is NOT a fallacy) The message may or may not stand apart from the messenger's behavior, but at the very *least*, the messenger is expected to comport himself in a way that is compatible to the message, else he ruin it. Such illustrations/principles are abundant in the Bible, and no, such illustrations/principles that are seen there have not been seriously corrupted over time from the originals. Sorry Smikeol. Ie., in short, the principle of 'practice what you preach' is still sound. And far sounder than that Piffle swill that you spew. Try again. .... On second thought, let's not. --> My own secret sign-off ====v, Rational logic cannot have blind faith as one of its foundations. Yeah Rocky, let it go. I mean, the point of who's right and who banned who over what politician has been lost in the moonshot and hubris. Me? I wouldn't have 'reported you to the authorities' for posting the Goldwater thread in Open forum; that's going a tad too far in my opinion. But it wasn't no hate crime either. And I too fail to see any Anti-Rocky Illuminati Corn-spiracy by the Committee to Re-Select The President (:D-->) here either. Frankly I think you have some good points re: QQ behaving in a malicious manner in the past (IMHO anyway), but Zix, Paw and the others? Nahhh, just the common clash of personalities and viewpoints; no hate crime committed. And no, I'm not 'kissing up' to Zix either (now you aren't going to take my joking post earlier seriously, are you?), and he knows that he and I can get into it whenever we feel the need to clash. But, as far as I can see, he has made his case far better than you have. And all he asked for you to do is to apologize to Paw. Hell, sometimes I think that we *ALL* should apologize to Paw for all the crap that he undoubtedly goes through. I mean, what's really to stop him from yanking the plug on this little fun machine of GS right now? And precious little we can do about it too. But this, Rocky, is without a doubt clearly making the mountain out of the molehill for you. And usually you have good points to make in the discussions nonetheless. To rehash the situation: 1) You're thread is safe and sound, simply relocated in a more appropriate section (one that you can get to by the way) 2) You are still here; its just you can't get into the mean political forum section. Oh well, count your blessings. 3) In a lot of other boards that I know about/participate in, you would have been banned and smoked out of there, with the middle finger extended in your direction by the moderator of said forum. And since all these forums are privately 'owned and operated' by said moderators, your rights have not been violated in the least, regardless of how fair or foul you judge the moderator's judgement. So just let it go, man. You're still a free man to go and do what you wish (for the most part). And one small little board made up of ex-TWI folks should be raising your blood pressure like this. It ain't worth it. --> My own secret sign-off ====v, Rational logic cannot have blind faith as one of its foundations. Zix, And so he has. HOWEVER, as author of that thread, he is disqualified from winning the Grande Prize of the Day. Altho' he can take home the Greasespot Cafe board game as a consolation prize if he wishes. Groucho, meet Mike (ie., Smikeol), our resident psychotic. This fine in-duh-vidual ... get this ... actually believes (Yes Virginia, he actually believes this) that the PFAL that VPW came up with is God breathed. Ie., The Word of God. Sent to replace the 2,000 year old scripture whose 'warranty' apparently ran out, was corrupted over the many years, etc., etc., ad nauseum, ... whatever. (Think Book of Mormon meets Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon') If you intend to try to persuade him out of his opinion, one word of advice. Don't. 'Cause you aren't going to succeed at it. Many here have endeavored to show him the flaws of his approach in countless posts. To no avail. At all. You'll get more mileage arguing with a Marilyn Manson/Goth fanatic as to why he needs to listen to Lawrence Welk music. Here's one example of what I mean: "Thousands of people today owe him their lives and abundance for what he taught to them, what he brought to them." And here is an example of how much Smikeol wants to 'bless' people with what he has become with PFAL: "Anything you were genuinely defrauded of was done by the devil and because of your stupidity. Get smart!" Ahhhhh, now doesn't that just bless your socks off, keeds? --> NEVER attributes any flaws or blame to Wierwille now, doesn't he? Oh by the way, why do I call him Smikeol? Remember Smigeol the Gollum in The Lord of the Rings flicks who was *SO* obsessed with his ring? His preciousssss?? PFAL is Mike's, ... Smikeol's precioussssss! I could email you a pic of the Gollum with a PFAL book that I created with Photoshop that many here got a kick out of, ... except Smikeol, of course. PT me your email, and I'll send it to you to enjoy. :D--> My own secret sign-off ====v, Rational logic cannot have blind faith as one of its foundations.
