Dr. David is offering free whoopie?! ... Nahh. I would rather prefer Dr. Ruth. :P-->
-
YAY!! PATRIOTS!!!!! :D-->
-
Ya know, I'm beginning to think that a bad experience that David had with a doctor and his rusty--err trusty needle in his early days was what led to this aversion to all things A.M.A. Heck I know I had a like experience with a needle happy doctor when I was a kid, and that doctor was named Dr. Boris! {{{shudder}}} Man, with a name like that, how can he ever do right?
-
Yup! We got him mad. ;)--> Before this, his posts were halfway informative and even a tad entertaining. (Altho' the entertainment value of his posts was dimished by their length and verbiage.) Now, if only we can get him to debate Smikeol. :D-->
-
Quack, Quack! Backflush, ..... Quack, Quack!! ;)-->
-
Now, now Zix. We all know that Dr. David's disdain for anything A.M.A. related qualifies him, by default, to know more than any medical doctor. ... Without question. ;)-->
-
David, If I'm not mistaken, you seem to have more of an overall distrust of the medical profession than with the engineering profession, or even than the legal profession. At least, that's what I deduce from the tone of your posts in dealing with these groups. (If anything, I would think that there would be more deserved mistrust towards the legal profession.) Keep in mind that engineers can be just as arrogant and/or misinformed as any doctor or attorney. It does depend on the individual, more than the profession, even such as the A.M.A. I mean, look at some of your own arrogance you displayed here. ... Yes Virginia, you have. And so, in the immortal words of Sgt. Hulka, "Lighten up, Frances!"

Galen, Uhmmmm, ..... oka-y-y. :D-->
-
Galen, It was in response to this: "Or that a man who considers himself a lesbian, should not play santa?" Now, why would you consider yourself a lesbian, hmmm? --> Not thinking of going thru a sex change operation, are ya? Not that I'm against you doing that mind you. :D-->

Okay, point taken, tho' I still would nail the pimple faced cook w/ an attitude if I was in that situation. So what about my 1st question: Why is getting just salad mean that the lady isn't being herself?
-
--> Why should a guy take this as 'not being yourself'? If I were the cook/waiter/manager, I'd be **REAL** careful with that kind of attitude, and the potential trouble that it might lead to. If the cook/waiter/manager decide to screw with the customer's food 'cause they are ....ed at them, and the customer gets sick or otherwise screwed over by the food, all it takes is 2 trips by the customer. 1) To the doctor to not only get treated, but to get medical proof that the food was indeed tampered with. 2) To an attorney, to start proceedings to sue that entire restaurant out of existance. Thats what *I* would do. So trust me, you do NOT want to screw with the customer in that kind of setting. Cooks/waiters/managers who do that find themselves working at Mickey Dee's going "You want fries to go with that", for the rest of their lives.

Smikey, Smikey, Smikey, A few things you illustrate as to how PFAL (evidently) influences your 'ethics', and how it ties in with my point: 1) Your examples of Joshua's spies sent behind enemy lines, and undercover ops in WWI & II, and the ethical discussions about them being a waste of PFAL Mastery time, as tho' PFAL is in itself, far more important than those kinds of discussions. 2) Your not-too-subtle point on w/o PFAL, we have no basis for ethics. (Interesting POV, since it begs the question on how did people know about ethics before VPW was a gleam in his daddy's eye, hmm?) See? And what authority states that PFAL is THE standard that fits the bill? Ohh yeah! That's right! ((smacking forehead)) VPW has been blindly accepted by you as that Standard. And you're own mindless, blind faith (believing?) in that precludes any other argument/point/FACT. Ie., if FPAL said that the earth was flat, you'd argue all over the world that the world is indeed flat, barring all proof to the contrary. See folks, this is what blind faith is. On crack! -
Kinda looks like a cross between Loy boy and Donny Fugit to me. :D--> ((ducking))

In all this banter back and forth in the past few pages, was I the only one who caught this little number? So ethics has nothing to do with PFAL, or the 'godly' mastery thereof? A waste even? --> -
Linda, And what would a real 'gaurdian of the freekin' truth do in this case, hmmm? As tho' being gaurdians was the main motivation of us 'ungodly nay-sayers'?. Yah! Right! --> Have you read *and considered* the details of what Raf, Goey, et al has posted in their alledged 'piling on' on David? Oh, and notice that the emotion-o-meter jumped ONLY when David pulled his shake the finger approach at us nay-sayers. And wasn't my 1st post here regarding that tactic, instead of the oxygenation theory itself? But I tell you what. Forget my posts, which you never took a liking to anyway. Ok, I can live with that. But why not consider Raf's, Zix's, and Goey's posts in detail, like I suggested? They go well beyond and above the "Your post *sux*" attitude; yes they do. Both sides do have valid information to consider, but, as kindly and helpful as David undoubtadly is, his condescending dismissing of the 'nay-sayers' does NOT help, and it just contributed to the 'piling on', as it were. Plus he shoulda realized that the 'take it by faith' admonition didn't, and won't work here, in a message board filled with people who has experienced that same attitude in TWI, and whom I would be willing to bet *ain't* gonna put up with that again. So, uhh, yeah Dave, we're gonna ask for proof, pain-in-the-assets as that is gonna be. And no, I for one, see no reason why I should take your word as superior, by default, to the A.M.A., or even to the FEDGOV™, regardless of your experiences with them.
-
And what was it specifically that I just did? -->
-
In what way did it 'take them out'? I mean, was there an Uzi involved? Or was this one of those 'drive by postings'? And like Krysilis said, who's twisting your arm to read it? -->
-
On the contrary. It is a classic example of honest skepticism challenging pseudo-science (or something that at least appears so), and getting people to think for themselves, on BOTH sides of the aisle. If this were TWI, you'd be told to 'renew your mind', and accept whatever current authority has to say about the matter, and that's that. Period! Thanks, but no thanks. Mindless non-questioning of supposed authorities we all left behind at our last twig.

ROFLMAO!! :D--> Dr. David, One thing you totally miss in all your verbiage re juries, lawyers, common law and such, is that none of that has anything to do with scientific facts, what they are, and the determination thereof relating to the topic of oxygenated water, now in its 9th page in this thread. ... None. Zero. Zilch. Zippo. What your Hewlett Packard reverse Polish calculator says when it says "0". (Every good engineer ought to have one, ya know. :D-->) Did I miss anything? --> Oh, and I think that you made way-y-y to much of Zix's comment about 'your stupidity killing someone'. Anybody with any brains would realize that his comment is just that. A comment. NOT a judicially valid accusation that can be used to take you to a court of law. So get a grip. Just because you have a bunch of skeptical people challenging your premise about oxygenated water here doesn't make us all part of that e-v-i-l FEDGOV (insert wicked chortling in the background here) If you've been on any jury, you would know that juries always, ALWAYS, gets into heated discussions and arguments about the evidence presented in order to come to their conclusions. I mean, we aren't talking about a garden party here. This isn't even including griping about the pitiful jury pay and sequestering conditions that often go on.

((sigh)) A-fricking-mazing what people would put up with in the Name of God/His Word/their Leadership/other related causes, that they wouldn't even think to put up with in other areas of life. -->

Ya know, I just thought of something. Do you all auppose that mebbe one reason Smikeol is so stubborn about this PFAL crap, is that he has been drinking way too much of Dr. David's Oxygenated Penta Water? ... One helluva lot of oxygen for the ol' grey matter between the ear balls, ya think? To your health, Mike. ;)--> :D--> -

Smikeol, My reading skills are just fine, thank you. Don't like PFAL? Is that how you interpret the fact/the why that I don't view PFAL to be God Breathed? --> I can think of many reasons far better than that as per my views re: PFAL. Preliminary warm-up?? Chief, that's ALL you've been giving not only to HCW, but to ALL of us here at GS ever since your first post. All that, and your blind, desperate and delusional dodges. Hardly begun? Oh right, like I'm SURE HCW will really look forward to going thru a repeat of ALLLL your posts about PFAL, and winding up with no more valid understanding for your preciousssss as a result. Why not save the HD space on Paw's servers and simply refer HCW to the original posts. Then wait a couple of years till he's thru. --> -

Wow Mike! Is this the best you can come back with to rebut HCW's classic knock out punch to your 'PFAL is God Breathed' proposal?? Simply knowing people who worked on a project just isn't the same as actually being one of those people huh, Mike? Makes it kinda hard to 'dodge', doncha think? Could this *really* and *finally* be the end to all of this? (One can only hope) -
Did E.T. use a phaser? :D-->

Yo HCW, Welcome to the *surreal* world of Smikeol, THE Prophet of the God-Breathedness (supposedly) of PFAL. This is kinda like an episode of the Twilight Zone that was too wierd even for that classic show.
