No Not Government bots definitely advertising Bots.. They peruse the pages and then teh adds are taylored to the topic on the pages and it goes on all the time just some times they hit a site all at teh same time for what ever reason. LOL Ham the other forum I was on is even more benign than this one... it is a bunch of ladies talking about kids pets and crafts and our day to day lives.. What started the gun discussion was a hello Kitty Machine gun picture (Shopped of Course) which prompted some other picture posts of some women decorated guns.... Pink Stocks and the like. Suddenly we had hundreds of Bot hits it was pretty amazing and quick with in hours of starting to post about them

ON another forum I was on we had a discussion about Guns well more than guns automatic weapons good grief our numbers jumped. IT was funny.

Well I would be the first one to admit there are times when my memory can be faulty... but the snow on the gas pumps as a sign from god was on the Cassett tape we listened to for PFAL. IT was 1979... Spring time and I have never seen the video taped version of the class. I have never read the book you mentioned. I went out on the WOW field almost immediately after taking the PFAL class. Listened to it two more times when I was on the WOW field and am pretty sure it was in that class. But far be it from me to say I am dead right. Maybe it was told at ROA while i was there, maybe recounted to the WOW's??? but in my head I hear it in conjunction with my first PFAL class.

When I took PFAL it was in the class that is where I heard it. There are many kinds of smart. I am no dumb bunny but I also am no good at researching the bible. But I can plan like crazy. VP was smart in the how to get people to come along for the ride department. and do not let that hick accent fool you he had a pretty good plan and it worked. The hick thing gave people a comfort with him that he was honest and a regular guy not some slick talking smart alack.

The thing is we can speculate all kinds but we do not know her or really you... What we do know is how the ministry operates... and if you have been dating her for a while you are probably a good judge of her heart. But you do need to keep in mind what was said by others. The way does not encourage and probably actively discourages dating and (Marriage..if that is your ultimate goal) with non way people. Now being as you are Atheist/ agnostic/ don't attend Church????.... you didn't really specify... I am gonna go out on a limb here and say she is probably thinking she can convert you ... not because she is actively trying but because girls are always thinking they can fix boys.. it is stupid.. you are who you are but when we are young we women are silly that way. The best thing you can do for your self is peruse the threads of the Forum here read up on what the way is really like and then sit her down and be frank with her... IT would be a waste of both of your times if you were thinking you would get her out of the way and she was thinking she was going to get you into the way.. By the way you are probably not going to win her away from the WAY she would have to leave her family then. You might have her for a while but she would go back to them. And it is not fair at your age and hers to become a blockade between her and her family. Oh and one more word of advice as it were It doesn't matter if her Dad is a big muckity muck or who he is... IF her parents decide you are not good for their daughter they will let HER know, not necessarily you.. This is one of those things most parents do..

I have no doubt he made it up but I sure believed it when I heard it. HE was very Charismatic and they are usually very good liars... I am not saying a compulsive liar that is something totally different. But he may have really convinced himself that it happened . Who knows.. I remember in the class thinking he wouldn't just say that if it wasn't so.. People must have already checked weather reports and such.. it has to be true. Good Grief I was such a dork thinking anyone else was checking this stuff out.

I am going to chime in too and say do take it very slow .... be aware that there are three possible scenarios here 1. She is in the relationship to bring you into the WAY organization 2. She is in the relationship as a means or rebelling against her parents and church 3. She likes/loves you and is in it because she finds you charming etc.. Now then you did not say how old the two of you are but being a mom of two daughters myself, and having been a daughter once myself... I am going to guess she is either scenario 2 or scenario 3. Not that it couldn't be 1... but the other two are more likely. IF she is under the age of 21 and living at home 2 is a strong runner. IF she is out of their house on her own all bets are off. They aren't going to kidnap you and brainwash you... They will calmly and methodically show you what they believe and it will make sense and you will fall for it ... Well maybe not because you are reading all this. Any way IF you both really do love each other I suggest you listen to the radio broadcasts.. They are on the front page of the site and go into the section titled ... The Way in these forums... there is lots of stuff in there. But be prepared for the whole thing to go south... I don't know if they still do Mark and Avoid but if they do she will have some real hard stuff to sort through. P.s. I hope it is scenario 3, but then I tend to be a hopeless romantic.

Well I am thankful that I found GSC. For me it is healing to read and to write about what I saw and heard while I was there. I doubt that all those still in TWI know what is on here. And for me all the information .. the good the bad the ugly, I needed to find it to give me some peace and some answers. As to the question does GSC give people the illusion of helping others, well I am a case of them helping some one. And I am recent as in the last month (December) Did I need to get out of the Way.. No i was already out. I needed questions answered I needed peace about how my husband and I left. I wasn't actually looking for this info I pretty much stumbled onto GSC. I didn't expect do more than find a few old acquaintances but that is not what I found here. But I count invaluable the help from every one on here.. from the forum posts to the chat room. I have gotten much more than I expected. I can not thank all of you on here enough. IF GSC closes tomorrow I will thank God that I found you all on here in person to answer my questions and direct me to information that I was looking for or that gave me more insight into TWI and what was going on in other peoples lives. IF it closes all I can say is thank you to every one on here who shared their life experiences with TWI and to those who I meet Thank you for all your time and caring and answers.

Hmmm IT is sad to me that the ONE THING that VPW taught THE ONE REDEMING THING Was to STUDY the WORD of GOD not the word of VPW. This one thing is totally ignored by some people and was completely and utterly ignored by VPW... To me if a person were to ignore all the other horrible stuff VPW did.. This one thing above all should be the ONE thing that tells some one that VPW is not a Man of GOD, or man of God. or even a good Christian. It was his Corporate mission statement if you will... oh yes! It is what we were all told and why many of us got in and ignored some of those red flags. We kept expecting them to get it right and some people even tried to show what they found in the word to their leadership only to be told that what VPW taught was the important thing. The ministry was supposed to be about studying the word of GOD and when something was different in the word from what was being taught ... then This supposed man of God promised to change the teaching and his own behavior and we did too. As far as I can see that never happened. If one were to ignore all the other stuff... This one thing ought to be very telling indeed.

Well I can't speak for your Computer but In the Real estate office I work in many of the Vista laptops use FIrefox/Mozilla as the default browser.. maybe this is why. IF you haven't tried it you should it is free. and if you have vistas I am guessing it is already uploaded to your computer. Word of warning if you haven't been using it all along you will find at first that you have to update any of the software for viewing videos on the net even though you did it for Explorer. One of the pluses to Mozilla is that IT tells you when you miss spelled words on Forums etc. I like it. And it has some other really nice features. NOT to mention the ability to set it up as you would like. In fact the only time I use Explorer now is at work for a few programs that do not work with Mozilla but they are specific to data resources::: not what you would normally encounter out on the rest of the web. And what wordwolf said too. :)

Okay I made it through last night. I read everything in here, the good, the bad, the ugly. I am glad I read it all not just the story but some of the posts... What it showed me is the complete disdain that the Board of Directors (BOD) and Weirwille and Martindale and John Lynn had for the rest of us. I can not tell you how sad and angry I am right now... How much I have come with this one post to despise them. I am heartbroken that I was ever in the WAY. I am sick that they took something that could have been so wonderful and so life changing for people and could have been so powerful and one used it to Rip peoples life blood out. They took these beautiful hearts and stomped them to death. I read John Lynn's letter when I first found my way to grease spot... but this is an indication of what is really in his heart. Some people wondered how Rochelle would feel about this post.. I like to think that she would be delighted... Delighted that we really know now what happened to her! That we know the truth of how wrong "The Way Ministry" was and is. (edited for spelling errors)

I agree ham and I thought I better add that when I said they I me4ant the young adults who are joining the Sowers Corps like program THosae kids are the ones attempting to serve GOd . The leaders of SOWERS are just continuing the CON. I hope I am wrong but I don't think so.
