LOL Twinky sounds like my garden for 2007. Well I got three new baba berry bushes for the garden yesterday. I will put them in the ground today along with the gopher repellent I saw they are out in the garden already.(the gophers) a sure sign spring is here already in my area. Baba Berries are a type of raspberry blackberry cross, It does well in areas where there is not a good hard ground freeze. In other words it doesn't get cold enough for regular raspberries to set a good or sometimes any crop in my area. Any way these won't have berries until next year but I wanted to expand the number of bushes I had. They are a true bush berry versus the vines I get from my black berries but they also produce two crops a year one in early summer late spring and one in late summer early fall. It is perfect timing as it comes before the black berry harvest and then after the black berry harvest. One thing about them I find interesting is how they crossed them as black berries and raspberry's are fierce enemy's and competitors in your garden. IF they are planted too close together neither plant will do well in the fruiting area. I had to move a couple of my black berry bushes last year because of this. I also got two new clematis vines to try out, and some Asiatic lilies; Pink colored ones, to try. I am hoping the gophers won't eat them. They seem to leave the day lilies alone so this is a good bet!

I agree I think it is a dominance thing with them. I have two taht cover and one tuxy that leaves it out for all to see and smell. and when I had Darin a big white tom he liked to leave it uncovered to prove he wore teh pants in a house full of females.. (He didn't...wear the pants, LOL) anyway think of it as better than them deciding to pee in a corner or spray which he started to do off and on to let me know he was not happy there were any other kitties in the house thank you very much. Even if they were girl kitties.

Just for all those Moon Pies.

Well for me it comes down to several things . 1. I do not for one second believe that God gave VPW revelation. (This is my opinion.) I know I believed it when I was involved in TWI and until I learned some of the stuff I have learned here. (I am not going to re enumerate them) I have been checking a little bit and as far as I can see, God never ever gave revelation to some one whose life was out of alignment with his word. Did these men of God sin; Yes, we have all fallen short in that area. But when they sinned they were shown their sin and repented and brought their life back in alignment with God's word. 2. Were some of VPW's teachings truth. Of course they were. He took valid teachings from other people and used them to teach so some of them were true and some were not. By not showing what was from whom or making a valid attempt to share this with all of the people who took the class, I believe he was crippling us the believers and his own self. Did he represent that what he was teaching was all his own no, But he never ever admitted that almost all of it was stolen from other sources. This is provable and has been done by several people. 3. Did VPW's sins affect his teachings... Of course they did. Everyone here is aware of this. Even VPW was probably aware of this at least on some level. Did it negate the parts that are true OF course not 4. Was VPW a man of God..... I do not believe he was. When he was confronted with the error of his ways he never repented. If you look in the bible And it does not matter which version you use you will see that every Man of God in there who sinned repented, when they were showed the error of their ways. 5. Is the Bible the God breathed word. I believe it is . And my bible is not the PFAL class. It never was and it never will be. Did VPW think it was? Not for a second. He may have been a sinner (who among us isn't) But he knew in his own self what that class represented and PFAL was not God breathed. Some of the things that make me the most angry is that he would hurt any of God's children. In any way shape or form. THat he would misrepresent the class as his own teaching and yes he did by not documenting where he got it form . HE stole it whole sale and passed it off as his own, He Told all of us how to follow the word and then he went and broke many of the rules of GOD, and then told some people that it was okay for them to sin. He taught this to them and they went out and taught it to those people in their twigs. HE told us that we as leaders were responsible for the words we spoke to the people in our twigs and who we witnessed to. Then he hurtt many of the very people who he was sending out to share God's word. The whole section that was shared about how he researched the bible, was for me proof positive that he he was a liar.... he went directly against the principles of research he taught us. Telling us that we needed to line up our thoughts and what we taught with the bible and how you worked the word of God but then he got to change it because it didn't fit how he thought it ought to be, in his head. This is the direct opposite of what he taught. HE was no Man of God Not ever. A man of God would have seen the error when it was shown to him and repented. For all these reasons I know he never received any revelation from God. So no snow storm for VP. HE was no Man of God.

Sorry I took so long to reply... I brought up the dead sea scrolls as a question to this quoted below right at the beginning of the thread. I realize now that how I worded it came across as flippant and it wasn't really intended to be that way, but as an honest but what about these. I am the first person to say I am no biblical scholar... I am the average "Joe believer" from "TWI". One of the reasons I got involved with the ministry is because I Love God and I Love his Word... For me the word of God(Bible) was a healing balm to my beleaguered soul and mind. I got involved because of the whole "it fits like a hand in a glove" thing and because of the respect and Love for the word of God that VPW expressed so well in the PFAL class. I find the whole dead sea scroll issue fascinating because they show the integrity of the Old testament and thus I believe because of that alone they present a good argument that the New Testament also has integrity.. Can I argue it with the likes of all of you who are so much more schooled in researching and stating your own case ... NO probably not. I came to the discussion to learn more about what teachings are out there. I believe all of it Old and New Testament is there speaking directly to us. All of it is there for us to study and learn from. I believe in the Integrity of GOD's WORD, All of God's word and it is obvious that ALL of you do also. Do I have proof and can I site this scholar or that scholar or which page in PFAL or Advanced Class it was in No I can not... but I do know what God's word did for me.

Shellon Just a thought ... HE should have his eyes checked to see if he is FAR SIGHTED. My oldest was like this and she would write words completely mirror written in the middle of a sentence. apparently when they are far sighted they do a lot of back scanning as they read... Their eyes flicker forward on a word and then reverse.. it gets a bit scrambled in their brain then. This may not be his problem but a good friend who was a teacher recommended it to me and when we went to the eye doctor this is what she had. We worked with her at home and she overcame it on top of just plain growing out of it by the end of fifth grade.. but worth a try. She had lots of reversal letters and numbers and in her math she would constantly add instead of subtract or subtract instead of add. When she got her glasses it really helped her. They weren't that strong but seemed to be the ticket.

Ouch... I say this knowing that Bongo just scratched me when I picked him up last night. I think you just have to be persistent and remember ferral cats take a very long long time to tame. Bongo is feral. You can only pet him when he thinks it is okay. and picking up is another one second or two afair that I keep persisting about because if I ever have to get him to the vet I will need to grab him. BTW one of my neighbors has a cat who came fully feral. it took them three full yeras to get him to allow them to pet pick up and hold etc. HE is the biggest lovey boy you ever saw now!

LOL when we ran our classes for WOW I got all of us to bring up all our real coffee cups and washed them myself each day to make sure everyone had a clean cup. I still remember getting the lipstick cup at the class I took and found it a bit jarring. My family coordinator agreed with me. Fortunately we had enough cups to go around.

LOL I was not in Mozilla so I plead wrong browser ... I am a notorious bad speller. and type with many errors... One of my reasons for using the firefox. :)

Is feeling guilty Biblical?
leafytwiglet replied to Watered Garden's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
God really does love us right where we are at. He does not care that your dishes are sitting in the sink or the bathroom hasn't been cleaned any more than you do when you go over and see your child at their house. HE does care that you feel loved. HE cares that you know that he forgave you of your sins already. HE cares that you are still and know that he is God. Remember the story of Mary sitting at the feet of Christ to hear his words. That made him happy. HE felt it was more important than making the house perfect. The dishes aren't going to rise up and revolt they will be there when you are ready to wash them but you can not get a return on the time you have with your children or the time that we all need to take a break from the continual grind of the day to day. A spotless house has absolutely nothing to do with a spotless mind. Now I also want to say thanks Mark for those words of wisdom regarding changing the style of bible you read. I think for me that just may be what I need to do. Hugs WG from one woman to another and let me leave you with one more thought You are precious in GODS sight. -
Some body sure messed up their believing on that night.

What makes my heart ache even more than the inaccuracies are the people like mike who could be studying the actual Word of God and sharing that knowledge with the world. But they have been side railed with VPW words. What if VPW had actually harnessed all that youth and talent for actually studying the bible via the corps. It would have been a very different ministry.
