Garth have you done many emails of docs from windows 7 to people on XP.. This is a really annoying thing about the Vistas. (When you have xp and recieve a word doc from someone with vistas you can not open it) Note::: yes I know they have to save it a certain way for others to read it but I hate that I am having to request this all the time and to boot you would be surprised how many people do not know how to do a save as) OR can you email me a word doc.. to try it out??? if you can will you PM so I can give you my work email? Also how is it with reading CD Roms written on XP can it read all the info This is a problem with Vistas.. I have a printer copier scanner disc that the Vistas computers have trouble reading the driver disk and It takes some major contortions to get it to see the drivers and load them. Some things that vistas does that I do like is the ease with setting up multiple home /office etc network groups. So I don not have to do a whole tutorial with new agents on what to do on their computer for network access at home verses work

Are splinter groups "havens" for ex-twiers?
leafytwiglet replied to skyrider's topic in About The Way
I think because we are creatures of habit and a herd animal that in a small sense they are like a little haven for ex-twi'ers I went cold turkey myself as there were no splinter groups when we left but when the chance arose to join back in I had been out long enough on my own to have the cold finger of fear to keep me out. But if I had lived through the sudden disolving of the late 80's it might have been for me a comfort to join a splinter group. THe things I have heard about the ones people on here have been involved in have certainly made me much more aware of the following: 1. I was lucky to get out when I did. (right as the legalistic side of TTWi was just starting to show it's ugly head at the Twig level. 2. I was lucky there were no splinter groups around when I left so I wouldn't become entangled 3. The fruit of TWI was rotten to the core, I need to re evaluate every thing I thought I knew about God and the bible. 4. By leaving when I did I escaped Relatively unscathed 5.I still don't really trust any one in the spiritual arena of my life, 26 years later. 6. This distrust , though a hamper at times is also a safe guard. -
Oh how exciting Congrats to you and your misses and the whole clan. Peectures Pleese when you can. :D

Dear Twinky I am so sorry for your loss Hugs from me and Purrs from the kitties. IT is always difficult to lose those we are close with and animals I think are especially difficult. They are part of the family and completely dependent upon us for their lives. They never waiver from their affection for us. THey bring joy and comfort to us and really fill out our lives.

Fans California Heat twinky's way.. But you get lots of pretty bulbs in the spring.. I get daffodils. and Narcissus and that is it.. Okay I could get gladiolas if the gophers didn't eat them. But no Tulips no Hyacinths and no real lilacs(yes I know these are a bush and not a bulb). I miss these.

For the record I am three weeks early planting but the winter has been extremely mild so I am pretty sure it is safe to plant. Usually it is still frosting heavily at this date but this year will be a n extremely long growing season. Starting now and going thru October and maybe into November. Due to my switch to vegetarian I could use the early crops too.

California and if I plant those in the summer they go to seed right away. although the lima beans may be a bit on the early side. Those are all plants I usually plant in early spring summer is tomatoes, peppers, squash, egg plant (Japanese), corn, pumpkins, bush beans(we get too much fog to plant pole beans they get diseased if I plant them but the bush beans are champs in my area) I still need to get in beets, and lettuce too. I will probably not put in corn this year as we never ever get it eaten and picked in time well actually I am good with it but hubby is too picky about it and no matter how fresh it is complains so he can have crappy store corn as far as I am concerned. I am on line looking over the vegetables right now trying to see if I want to try any new stuff. I just put in some left over seeds from last year so if I order today I will have the new seeds for the next planting.

Congrats Raf and keeping fingers crossed for a safe and happy birth.

Hubby's new brew for today is a german double bach??? bock??? I am not sure I spelled it correctly. I am assuming a dark full bodied home brew as it has molasses added to it.

LOL Mchud you say that now but when you open your email every day to 100 or more you will not be so happy ... HEhehehe

LOL Oh you mean the tigers at the San Francisco ZOO... They are beautiful aren't they. One of my daffodils has a actual flower on it. The rest are still days away from bursting into bloom. Okay and not to make you all jealous or anything But I planted my first vegetable bed yesterday afternoon. of course with all cool weather crops but still. I am excited I put in radishes, carrots, spinach, cabbage, lima beans, and a few onions. I am going to try to do another box today(I have raised beds each 4 x 8 feet) 6 of them. I want to get in some beets and turnips possibly the brussel sprouts. And some peas which are going in a bit late...They should have been in a couple of weeks ago but then timing has not always been my strong suit I am going to mark time to harvest on the calendar this year and see if it helps keep me on track for picking... and I am also going to try to do more spaced out plantings to see if I can get a more consistent harvest instead of everything all at once. I am also going to try to grow my own tomatoes this year instead of buying the plants so some time end of next week I will be starting both my pepper and tomato plants. This way if they fail I can still buy the kind at the store if need be.

More Blatant PFAL Errors
leafytwiglet replied to Mark Clarke's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
The Written PFAL.... the spoken PFAL..... IT is all still full of errors and lies and VPW was an ego maniac. Jesus Christ is the example we should be following.. The bible is the book to study... Not some plagiarist, raping alcoholic... who ripped off other peoples work with out actually lining it up with the word and then took liberties to make it fit his own twisted desires. -
Just to relieve your bad feelings for the horses The blankets are not to keep the horses warm but to keep their coats clean. I learned this not too long ago from a friend who shows her horses. okay and for anyone wondering the definition of geotropic ge·ot·ro·pism (j-tr-pzm) n. The growth of a living organism in response to gravity, as the downward growth of plant roots. geo·tropic (j-trpk, -trpk) adj. geo·tropi·cal·ly adv. Rats and I was so liking the other definition: Geotropism - is that when George goes to the warmer climates for the winter? quoted by MArk above HEhehe

HEre is an excellent Written tutorial and includes not just electrical but other kinds Soldering tutorial Tutorial two I hope these help a little bit
-
Actually soldering is not too difficult but it requires a bit of patience to make a good electronic solder. For an electronic solder you will need one of those pen type solderers and also you need to be sure to heat the copper wires sufficiently before heating the solder to get a full and correct connection I will go see if I can find some online instructions. be back shortly (I used to have to make electrical connectors for one of my jobs)

Nice try but All you have to do is relax and you float to the top of water. I suppose we could expect that they are float ing to the top of the dirt  :)
-
I always wonder how plants know which way to grow when they sprout. Even if bulbs get put in the ground upside down they will grow down and then turn right around and head up to the surface. How do they know which way to grow? They are buried in dirt.

To see God, or not to see God.
leafytwiglet replied to JeffSjo's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
This is a very interesting thread. There is so much to consider. For me this whole thread has been very enlightening (sorry for the pun) Life is of course full of paradoxes. A perfect example of this is a magnet. it has a positive and a negative side It's energy can both repel and attract. Life itself has a beginning and an end electrons have a positive and negative charge. I often wonder if the so called paradoxes of the word are not so much paradoxes but confusion caused by our understanding of what is being communicated. -
three pictures One name
-
you mean the board? Or the FOX? INteresting Idea
-
I never knew this IT adds such a bigger understanding of that song for me
-
To me it seems so counter productive. Move everyone closer to the FC or LC then less and less peole actually hear about the TWI I am glad they collapsed but in hindsite I wonder what they were and are thinking.
-
I do not think it is TWI. I think it is one of the off shoots THere is no way to tell. No names given Interesting but I would guess just one more off shoot of Der vikster.
