This was a very funny thread. and What ever happened to Def 59 HE hasn't been here since Dec of 2007. I looked at some of his post(yes I thread stalked him and glad I did) What a funny wise man.. I wish he was still around.

NOT that it really needs to be said but I will say it anyway.. Thank you Raf for a very balanced look at this work.. For me IT was very helpful, giving me pause to reexamine some of the stuff that was taught and I took too much to heart. IT was also nice to see some of my questions that I had from the very begining of joining TWI addressed. Mostly i want to thank you for a blanced look at what we were taught.. not just a trashing of it but a genuine look at what lines up with the bible and what doesn't.

Actually TWI treated all the arts with disregarrd. I consider myself an artist have always loved painting sculpting and china painting. THey held a special seminar in spring 1981??? for all the artists in the way. One of the big focuses of the seminar was how ALL of our art work should be focused around TWI or Bringing the bible to life visually) I am not sure how that progressed later but there was a big push at that time to get the artisits into refocusing all their efforts toward biblical or TWI based endeavors. No matter your art speciality it was supposed to be bent and used only in the way TWI felt was appropriate. As I left before the devil spirits in everything really had a chance to fester into a full blown evilness... I would expect you were then told the evilness of your work and how it would not be a blessing to TWI or God if you didn't produce what they wanted. But that is me just extrapolating. Edited to Add... THis post was in no way intended to take focus away from what happened to the musicians but to point out that they did it to other artists too not just the musicians.

Without the exact wording of the questions and the exact data results it is difficult to know if they calculated the results correctly. Add to that if people were expected to give a specific answer. . and you answer the phone as you are trying to cook dinner, get kids ready for some activity etc... and you are only half listening to the questions or they are so badly worded as to make it impossible to give a good answer. I was once in one of those national surveys that get posted to news stories. (I didn't know what it was going to be used for until I saw the news story) Knowing what they asked and what my answeres were made me realize just how flawed those surveys actually are. IT wasn't the questions that were so bad but how they extrapolated the data they recieved.

I am guessing Both. After reading some of the stuff in the old posts and knowing that there are lots of believers still out there who have not found their way here yet. I am thinking Both! Edited to add... plus who knows what is going on today there. We could hear much worse in the future.

RumRunner, I think you miss understood my intent, obviously I worded my posts very badly, please forgive me. I have many friends who are jewish. I would never do anything to besmurch what this woman did or any of the other brave individuals who stood up to Natzi Germany and dedicated their lives to rescueing people and righting the horror that was done. I posted it so some people who said they could not stomache the other guy could have an alternative to watch and the last coment was so they would know they could watch the video you posted with out too much political comentary on his part. I hate politics so I understood why they might hesitate to watch it. But I never meant it to be anything more than an oportunity for people to see how wonderful Irena Sendler was. She is a shining example of how we all should be comporting ourselves. I thank you again for bringing this womans life to my attention I had never heard of her before.

I'll add my two cents as I live in CA. You are right as of the last month there has been a huge increase in OMG the sky is falling stories about Mexico and the drug wars. I tend to take most of the news media stories with a grain of salt now as it seems to all stem from whatever is the latest hot topic. Immigration being the current topic de jour. We in CA are regularly bombarded with such stories and most of it is inaccurate. I won't even go into a commentary on the Texas border as I do not live there and I am sure there is more trouble at the borders as that is where people and drugs are trying to enter. but I can tell you most of the people I have met and know are quite delightful hard working and contrary to popular belief make much effort to learn the language. Most are very generous. The operative word here is MOST.

HI everyone sorry for delays on posting pictures... we had a cold snap and so the veggies are still growing but slooooowly. I put up a plastic cover and they are finally getting a good growth on. I will really post updated photos tomorrow. right now today this evening... was the first day the air smelled like spring. so I usually call this the first day of spring (I don't usually go by the calendar) You probably all know the smell it is a combination of warm air, first fruit tree blossoms and grass. and moist earth. it always seems to waft through the air like an illusive dream tickling your nostrils and pricking your brain into a happier mode. I smelled it at 8:30 PM tonight as I left my algebra class. and headed home. It made me wish I had been out in the garden this evening.

Well It was a long time ago but I remember there being some paper in there about them belonging to TWI and that we had to return them. Of course we were WOW's so maybe we were untrustworthy LOL. Perhaps just our L/C put it in there. It was on blue paper. Not that it matters. Edited for spelling and such

Well I have been married lets see now 27 years. and we are old and wrinkly and we still enjoy sex. but we didn't meet over the internet. we did get married rather quickly (3 months from meeting to wedding) and maybe should have spent more time at that end of things but neither one of us was hiding anything and we really hit it off as friends first actually. of course this was not over the internet. I have a friend who met her guy over the internet and they are happily married though it is still only two+ years into it. I don't think it will be an issue though as they not only are very well suited for each other but they both are invested in making it all work. Of course only time will tell if it is going to be a good marriage. I figure it is one of those things either it works out or it doesn't and there are lots of things that can interfere with a marriage working out. To George. I am sending ((Hugs to You )) too because I am sorry you were hurt so badly. but I think there are all kinds of people in the world and some of them are long term relationship people and some aren't and I am glad men and women communicate differently because it makes life interesting and fun... although sometimes a bit of a challenge.

I've been considering this ever since I read it.. I went outside and did physical labor.(how I mull things over) I think forgiveness and allowing a person to have their position of authority back in cases of Sexual misconduct are two different things. Of course you forgive them their sin.. but to allow some one to be in such an important position where they can harm others by their breach. No I do not think they should be allowed to hold that position again. These are not children or young adults. these are grown ups who understand exactly what they are doing. This is not a little thing to have sex with another person. it is not something that happens in a flash IT is an event that has been thought about. an encounter that has happened several times before consummation of it. God has made quite clear in his word that Adultery is wrong. A minister/ Priest/ Reverend is to over see guard teach and be a living example of Christ to the best of their ability. Any unseemly act does not just affect them but the entire congregation. To be so cavalier as to commit these kind of acts speaks volumes about their character.. THat they think it is okay for to break their vows.

I figured that is why you removed it. I am glad I got to read it though it gave me pause to stop and think. Edited to add. IT is easy to say with our mouth that we should forgive some one for a sin they committed against some one else but when we are the person who has been hurt it is a whole other matter to do the forgiving.

Dot.. ((Hugs)) as you find your way toward a healthier relationship. God does not judge us by our mistakes but by our love and our attempts to put to practice the example Christ laid out for us. By our recognition when we err and our attempts to correct our missteps. Focus on Christs walk and you will find peace. What a wonderful brave woman you are with a beautiful heart. Remember God's will for us is not to be controlled by any other person but to stand tall and strong in his love with the free will he gave us.
