  1. Yes but we are all excellent chair stringers. or grounds keepers or window washers. SO there you have it job skills you can use far into the future... :P ;)
  2. for his slow computer you need to do two things First once you get things back to normal run a full virus scan second late at night run an optimization. this should help a little. and have him remove as in throw out any old games and or music stored on there stuff he no longer uses and have him off load some of his photos to either a memory stick or write them to a cd JINX you owe me a soda
  3. Exie I am not sure if this will work or not but it should Go to All programs then Accessories Then System tools then system restore and choose a date prior to when you changed his computer yeterday or the day before The computer itself will restore you This is usually a good quick fix. I hope it works'' I know a few other things you can do but this is the layman's easy computer restore. all network guys will now cringe but I am a regular computer user meaning I know just enough to get by or get myself in trouble but this usually works.
  4. OMG his wife helped him draft it. Okay that is even scarier. Worse he will enjoy his internet notoriety.

  6. LOL this has to be fake... Entertaining But has to be fake.. LOL where oh where did you find it.
  7. Hi HAmmy I am keeping my fingers crossed and sending good thoughts your way for your exams and graduation... I wish you were my Math teacher. ;)
  8. Hmmm well I had good and bad experiences with it.. mine were mostly good but that is because any of the coordinators of the ones I was in were very laid back. I think the biggest fight I ever saw was over the phone bill. IT was like any time in TWI really dependent on who you had in the house with you and who was leadership in your area. Any time you live with other people there will be problems... the thing that made wayhomes so hard is people moved in expecting every thing to be all wonderful but life really isn't like that at all. To top it off or to add to the pressure.. some of them took away all your freedom... so it beccame an oblligation and not a joy. TWI really messed up so much of what our walk with God should really be all about.
  9. Stayaway... Good for you and your family I am cheering for you!!! I think now it is a lot like when my hubby and I left which was before the mass exodus just a steady drip drip drip of people walking away.
  10. I am curious Bolshie you were in past your 18th birthday do you consider yourself an abuser too? and are there things you regret that you were party to when you were in? I know of one incident in my TWI past I was a party to but not in any way really able to stop it... Now as an adult I could do it but at the time there is no way I was capable.. In all honesty I just didn't have enough knowledge of the world or the word to stop that freight train. Now is a different story.... and I do often think of it with great regret that I didn't know what to do to stop it.
  11. Patriot I am pretty sure Mary and Mike B are still in GF. I will PM you with their names they may not be in any more but they were really nice. Anyone else know anyone in or out still In Montana?
  12. Copper tape should work good.. not sure how it does once it is tarnished also again I say gorilla hair mulch... you will not see another snail for years. it is cedar bark shreaded.
  13. LOL Kimberly I just totally cracked up because it is so true. better add Jupiter's beard and lemon balm to that list.
  14. Hi Roy. True. Very true words you have there. Very thought provoking. with a holy hug Leafy
  15. Okay regarding the mint I keep it mostly at bay in the dry clay soil we have here... I planted lemon Balm which actually is trying to take over my garden but I love it .. IT smells like lemon pledge. I can also highly recommend Catmint which is smaller than cat nip... and smells herbally/florally and makes you feel quite relaxed. I have some herbs but I would love a formal herb garden. Hmmmm now where could I fit that in?
  16. Kimberly I am completely Jealous... I love gardening days... I want a herb garden now.. and I have added pineapple sage to the list of must have plants. Hugs and happy gardening weekend to you. Leafy P.s. one of my hens is nesting on eggs... two weeks to baby chicks, if all goes well.
  17. Congrats HAmmy! here is some advice from an algebra 2 student.. Me...who hasn't done algebra in a good 30+ years, and is doing the sweat labor and is still struggling becasue of the following practices by my genius math teacher with an attitude.. When a student asks you a question (even if you think it is completely lame) Do not look at them like they are too stupid to get up in the morning... and snear at them. (yes it is effective at getting them to no longer ask questions.) Do not do the example problems on the board so fast that it is all they can do to keep up taking notes, never mind being able to really see what you are doing. Do not skip over the simple steps because you are so smart that you get it so your students ought to be able to figure it out .. Because Well if you can't figure it out from what the instructor does on the board obviously you are too stupid anyway and deserve to get washed out. (yes His words) Yes I will finish the class .. .. now I am hoping for a c and will be happy with that. (I had an A in teh previous class...) Remember your job is to teach not to cut out those who are a little slower than the rest of the most brilliant math mimds.. Remember you are a TEACHER not the big bad wolf..
  18. LOL This song is now embeded in my brain... Dang it... ;)
  19. Jeff your link dosen't work
  20. LOL Fail or... So true it goes without saying ... HEhehehehe
  21. Oops I forget sometimes about the Way GB sorry anyone afraid for their identity. Edited to add. and this will make no sense to anyone because Oakspear took down his reminder to me that people may not want their identity revealed. :) :)
  22. So if Kevin is the pencil Guy ::Hey Kevin I think I met you 30 years ago at ROA..Glad to see you here:: and Oakspear is the guy on the left... have you both reminisced now? also I wonder since I recognize a couple other people on there not their names just their faces how many of them in that picture are here on GS or are still innies Girl in the far right corner.. The girl between you and Kevin ,, the Guy in the vest... Oakspear I recognized your face too but didn't know your name either not because I met you but probably saw you around. NOT that I expect you to know any of them or where they are but maybe some one else knows. By the way I always forget names and pretty much always remember faces. IT is annoying.
  23. LOL that is what I attach the guide wires to the tomato cages.. we have really strong winds. all summer long once the tomato plants get full of tomatoes the wind blows them and the tomato cages over .. okay not completely over but tilted at a 45 degree angle. So I tie them togeter and then try to stake them to something more stable. Sometimes they are fine but usually they get blown over. Wow GC you have even worse wind than we do.... I have gotten seed from that company.. they have some unusual heritage plants and some really fun ones too. One of the local Garden shops carried them. Unfortunately they(the shop went out of business)
