dearest breeze, as was mentioned i believe, there are assisted living / housing alternatives for older folks i believe, in my town, their rent is based on their financial situation and it's so much safer, you know, one floor.... no stairs.... other things.... i know i'm not really giving you any information. i wish you all the luck in your search

thank you roy. what a beautiful story. service and love really go hand in hand i shop every week at the same grocery store. quite a few of us wait on line for a special checkout lady because she is so wonderful the manager tries to move us over to another line and we say "no, we'll wait for mona, thanks...." she went away on some kind of religious pilgrimage recently and the manager would see me and tell me "don't worry, she'll be back soon." last weekend i went and SHE WAS BACK !!!!! she is so kind and always worried that my groceries get scanned correctly with the discounts. she scolds me for not having coupons. if she has any by her register that i can use, she scans them for my order. she tells me when i'm spending too much, in her opinion, for a particular item.... we laugh.... i could go on and on i love her so much

oh i'm so very sorry breeze (hugs / prayers) my sister took over my mom's and her husband's finances (with their whining consent) she collects their social security and what little else they have in pension / investments she gives them monthly spending money (and tells us other kids what to give them as gifts on gift occasions) she took all their credit cards from them she also manages their prescriptions and spent an enormous amount of time researching that end of it i don't know if i could do what she has done. i couldn't
