I was the guy hobbling around 'cause I had hurt my foot the night before. I was there with my wife. We were part of "the group from Chicago."

I was just in Michigan for the first time this past weekend, visiting Taylor O. in Muskeegon.

We've had more than enough in the Chicago area. I'd be quite blessed to send some your way since our rivers are filled to overflowing.

And I thought we were supposed learn the right way to care for the environment from communist countries like China and Cuba !

My late Twig coordinator Bob ( this was the early 80's ) had a love for God's people. When the new Corp came in with an attitude of "You're here to serve me " Bob let him have it with both barrels. At the Twig level for many it was about walking on the Word and in love. That's what it was about , not serving the organization. For those who never got higher up the corporate ladder, that's why it's easy to have fond memories of the time in TWI. At least until it all fell apart.

What might make an interesting poll is "are you involved in an offshoot and list the main ones with an "other" category for the rest. I will admit that I have been involved with one here in Illinois since 1989 when the state defected en masse after Martindale's loyalty oath bit. Most of the time it's a blessing, sometimes there's the "didn't we leave that behind" attitude, and sometimes I think we're headed towards open revolt here.

Nobody else has seen it ?

I went to the midnight premier with my daughter. The movie was ok, not the best in the series. I'm curious as to what anyone else thought of it.

We're going to have some weird alliances on this one. I'm as law and order as the next guy but I don't agree with this. I also feel the guy should have his license suspended, pay a hefty fine and do community service in a hospital or physical rehab center where he can see the results of stupidity like his. ( and I can just imagine his insurance bill when he starts to drive again! ) However I can't help but wonder if the cops would have taken his car if it was a beater or "wowmobile.". There is also the fact that the guy is from Naperville. For you folks outside this area, that's a mostly upscale area. I can't help wonder if there was the thought "let's teach this rich punk a lesson." Again, throw the book at the guy but leave seizure of property to people who bought that property with money from crime.

I became aware of his writings in the mid 80's. He wrote against TWI before POP happened.

If you get a chance, get to Jones Beach on the south shore. Every time I get out there ( my folks have lived in Levittown since 1950) I always get in a trip to the beach.

My daughter's middle name is Rose ( named after her great-grandmother who passed away a month before she was born ). I'll have to tell her about the flower thing.

I've been listening to "Godspell", both the movie and play versions. They're slightly different so both are worth hearing. They reminds me of my pre-Way days of being a young Christian.

Glad to hear mother and daughter are doing well. I hope your wife enjoys her first Mother's Day as a mom.

THe wife and I had lunch at Appleby's and mentioned to the waitress that I was celebrating my 50th. At the end of the meal several of the staff came over and sang "Happy Birthday." They gave me five helium balloon. A few tables over there was a mom with three young kids. I heard one of the kids say "they gave him a hundred balloons." So I went over and gave each of the kids a balloon and it was fun to see how excited they were over that.

Mine's Saturday Johnny, the 12th. I hope you got some great memories out of this birthday. Right now the birthday I have the best memories of is my 18th. I hope this year will be high on the list.

Hope you're having a great time ! I hit it in a few days and I wonder how I'll be feeling. The weirdest thing is looking at woman my age or a little older and realizing 50 year old women can look really good, something I would never have thought when I was 18.

Last night this person posted some bestiality pictures here. He posted the same pictures on over a dozen threads and the mods deleted them quickly.

Those pictures popped up as I was posting an addition to another thread and for a minute I was wondering how the heck I got transferred to an x-rated site. I fired off a note to Paw when I realized what it was. Good work you guys !
