In our current situation most people view him swearing on the Koran the same way as a congressman from the Nazi party during WW2 swearing in on a copy of "Mein Kampf."

I'd be more comfortable with it if a Christian could swear on a Bible in an Islamic country.

This really saddens me. I used to have respect for Robertson and voted for him in the '88 primary. What is wrong with him ? If he had followed it up with asking people to pray for God's protection for this country that would be fine but what is the point of this ? The man needs to do a serious study on wisdom.

It seems the general theme that comes up whenever "Way Productions" comes up is leadership intruding where they shouldn't. I can understand them not liking someone doing a Black Sabbath song onstage but songs were rewritten that shouldn't have been. Instead of listening to God you had to listen to people who thought they were God !

I have to add one album that isn't Christmas music but brings back memories for me. I was raised Catholic and we used to go to midnight mass together. When I was a teen we'd open our presents when we got home from the mass. For Christmas 1971 my parents gave me "Chicago Live At Carnegie Hall." I was 14 at the time and I remember staying up listening to the album ( a 4 LP set ) from start to finish. I'm from Long Island and it seems extra special that the band is introduced by WNEW's Scott Muni, who has since passed away.

My son is back from college and he asked if we could watch "Charlie Brown Christmas". So I dug out the tape ( I had taped a bunch of Christmas Cartoons off the air in '90 and '91) and we watched "Charlie Brown", "A Garfield Christmas" and the "Claymation Christmas Special" ( by the guy who did "The California Raisins"). It was a sweet time. My son is a college freshman and my daughter is a junior in high school and it was nice that we could watch these together as a family. They even got a kick out of watching the commercials from back then, especially the 7 Up commercials with those guys who were basically red spots. I was wondering if there were any other Christmas Specials that you watch to get into the holiday spirit. A new addition for us will be the "Penguins Christmas" that came with the "Madagascar" DVD.

If I may put my two cents in, the reason so many of us are interested in this issue is because we hate to see CES go the way of TWI. For a lot of us JAL's letter to the BOT started us seriously thinking whether we wanted to stay with TWI. For many of us John L was there for us to talk to before there was a Waydale or Greasespot and help us see that the problem was with TWI, not us. Even though its been a long time since I've had anything to do with CES I still view them as my brothers in Christ and hate to see them fall. I'd love to see them come out of this with a better walk with God.

Even though I've lost touch, I'll keep them in my prayers. They helped a lot of God's people over the years.

So what music helps you get in the Christmas mood ? I always get the feeling when I listen to "Charlie Brown Christmas." What does it for you ?

My dad turned 80 this year and today is my mom's 79th birthday. Last month a friend gave them a video of a party they were at in the 1980's and it upset my mom that only 4 of the group ( including my parents) were still alive.

I recently installed Firefox 2 and I'm having some problems. When I click on a bookmark or a site in my history nothing happens so I have to type the site in. Also, sometimes after trying this nothing happens when I type so I have to close out the program and reopen it. Anyone else have this problem ?

I got an ad from a web site called Driver Agent.Com where you can have your computer scanned to see if all your drivers are up to date. Anybody ever heard of them? I'd like to do it but I'm cautious.
