  1. Hey New Yorkers. Check out the thread over in Open Forum, "Sanguinetti To Bite the Big Apple." It sounds kind of like an X-Rated movie, but it is not. Do any of you want to see a Yankee game together? The game date is September 13th at 7:05 p.m. http://www.gscafe.com/groupee/forums?q=Y&s...7914#5156047914
  2. One of the reasons more believers in Jesus Christ don't believe that his existence began at his birth is because many of these believers were murdered in the middle ages. It seems the Pope sent his army after about 3 tribes of them and murdered them all. Where did I learn this unsavory bit of information you ask? From someone that believes in the validity of the trinity and calls himself a trinitarian. Great way to move the Word, huh?
  3. Hello Def: Why don't you simply try not posting for a while. See how this goes. If you feel good about not posting then continue to not post. However, if you get the posting bug again then log in and see how things are going and whether Grease Spot is to your liking still. No one is twisting your arm. I have felt like not posting at times also. Maybe I will stop posting temporarily and then be back at it after a while. For example, if my work load gets to busy. You are free to post or not to post which ever you prefer. If you are serious try deleting Grease Spot Cafe from your Favorite Web sites link.
  4. In the event of a dog fight I usually yell at both dogs to stop at the top of my lungs and if I have one of them on a lead I aggressively pull the dog away from the other dog. Often in a dog fight one is getting the upper hand and the other one wants to back off anyway. This is your chance to separate the dogs. Yea, I am a dog lover too and rarely meet dogs I don't like. However, dogs need to be trained by their owners that fighting is unacceptable.
  5. Hi Sudo: Yes, we did have a battle of the bands thread about 1.5 years ago. My how time flies. Actually it was during the college football season of 2001. Maybe we should wait until just before the college football seaon to start it again? I remember you and the Bluzeman posted and others. People posted music from their favorite college bands. I am a west coast guy so my favorite is the USC Trojans band.
  6. Thanks Sudo. I got a light hearted chuckle from your post. By the way. What ever happened to the battle of the bands thread? Maybe we could do that again sometime. Perhaps right before the college football season starts.
  7. Speaking of absolutes, here is one. Phil 3:8-9 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; NKJV All the religious knowledge in the world may not be of profit. Some of it may be rubbish. However, a knowledge of Jesus Christ as saviour is one to be esteemed. It should bring a person life and be a light burden. This is the only religious absolute for me. We are often quick to give advise. Some is good and some is not so. However, every man must weigh the messages for themselves. They ultimately are responsible. If they judge correctly they will benefit. If they don't they will not. A number of people have offered good advise here on this thread. A few have offered excellent advise. I am done with this thread. I have said all I need to say. If a person has ears to hear they will hear. If not then they will not. Or perhaps they will get the message at another time and place.
  8. Ginger Tea: I was just stating the obvious in a gentle manner. Mike is not accomplishing his goal of winning people to his version of PFAL. For Mike this is definitely more than a personal belief system. He is proselitizing everyone here with his religious beliefs. He is putting out pages and pages of his religious material. Hey, if you like it by all means help yourself. However, you have never to my knowledge stated a belief in the bible, God or Jesus Christ. Now tell me. Have I ever once here complained about your perceived lack of faith? And for that matter have I ever complained about anyone's lack of faith here? [This message was edited by Mark Sanguinetti on June 15, 2003 at 3:38.]
  9. Hello Mike: Before you started posting on Grease Spot Cafe we used to have Wierwille apologists that would occasionally post on this forum. They would say in essence that he was a good bible teacher and that in spite of his sins and weaknesses that he helped some people with his ministry. Well Mike, I think you might have chased them away because I don't see them or rarely see them on Grease Spot Cafe anymore. How did I do this you ask? Mike, your posts are so full of obvious idolatry that even Wierwille apologists see it. They don't even like it. Everyone that is except for you. This is actually a great contribution to this forum Mike. This is what many of us have tried to do here. However, only you could do it so effectively with your carnage of religious writings. Mike, I want to tell you again that I do appreciate your contributions to Grease Spot Cafe. However, some of us would like to see you delivered from the religious reasoning that afflicts you now. We would like to see you actually grow in a knowledge of Jesus Christ the Lord and Son of God. We would like to see you contribute in other ways on this forum other than being a guinea pig for everything that is wrong with PFAL infatuation. Nevertheless, if you feel that you must. Carry on. And thank you again for your contributions here. [This message was edited by Mark Sanguinetti on June 13, 2003 at 17:36.]
  10. Mike, Steve Lortz is really trying to help you here on this thread. Do yourself a favor and please listen to him. I have known him on these threads for a few years now. He is not one to lie and I can see from his posts that he is being very patient with you.
  11. From Dizzydog. I was thinking the same thing the other day. Last night I read some of the posts on this thread for a couple of hours. Some excellent points by multiple posters with plenty of spiritual light to learn from. Someone would have to be very blind to not learn from some of the posts here. We know from the scriptures Dizzydog quoted that it is the God of this world who causes this blindness.
  12. That was great Coolwaters. You've got a lot of heart girl. Regards, Mark
  13. Hello Mike: I don't even believe a person can be born of the wrong seed. I think that is one of the errors in Wierwillian theology so that argument won't work with me. I have taken a fresh look at a lot of scriptures over the years since leaving TWI and it has been very helpful. Really Mike, I don't think you are purposely evil. However, it is obvious that you rarely listen to anyone on this thread even though many people have brought in many good points both with scripture and with logical reasoning. All this, at least to my eyes, does not seem to have helped you. What are we on the 19th page of this and we are still on square one. Thus at least Steve and I think it is a demonic spirit that has you in your religious rut and is hindering you from seeing the scriptural help and understanding that many people here have offered you. I don't say this out of malice. And if you want help all you need to do is pray to God for deliverance in the name of Jesus his Son. I really have no new answers for you other than what I and others have already stated. Apparently, you don't even think you have a problem that others have seen. People here have been very patient with you, yet you continue in your religious ways. If we did not care and this includes Steve and I, we would not say anything to you at all. However, we really do care and are trying to help you, but you seem to have rejected it all. Your choice. I am not one to try to convince someone of something against their will.
  14. Mike: I am thinking of you out of love and concern. I have no fear. Your subject matter is a broken cistern and full of idolatry. Well, at least I prayed for you. If you don't want to believe my prayer that is your choice. The name of Jesus Christ is not a phony command. And I want to be very honest with you. This is what I believe about you. That you need deliverance. I say this without any anger towards you. Perhaps you don't want this deliverance. I have seen this all before. Furthermore, the fact that you reject my simple prayer with such a hard hearted attitude speaks volumes about you. If someone were to pray for me for greater humility and meekness I would thank them. Instead you curse me. [This message was edited by Mark Sanguinetti on June 04, 2003 at 20:26.]
  15. Mike: Please wake up. Steve and Dizzy are trying to help you. Please listen to them and read their posts. I can tell by your answers that you are not listening to them. For example, Steve told you clearly in his last post that you have a religious demonic spirit of pride and arrogance that is affecting your judgement and ability to think rationally. I agree with Steve. It is time to put off your religious pride and arrogance in the name of Jesus Christ. In the first place your religious rationale is not going to work here. There are to many people here that are very wise to your brand of religious idolatry. Some are actually spending the time to try to help you in God's love. Please wake up. To all those reading this thread. Mike needs prayer. I don't know if he wants healing, but he still needs prayer. Mike if you are reading this I command in the name of Jesus Christ that any religious spirit of pride and arrogance be lifted from your mind and way of thinking. That you can think rationally and with great meekness towards Jesus Christ the Son and God his Father. That you can truly interact with love and humility towards your brothers and sisters in Christ and to all people regardless of what they believe about God, the bible or religion in general. This is my public prayer for Mike and confession of faith.
  16. Rumor has it that a Grease Spot poster heard our beloved Mikey saying. "I have spent so many years studying PFAL material such that I am having a hard time remembering other written works. But does it say somewhere something like, "Search the scriptures for in them ye think ye have eternal life"? Or was that search the collaterals? I really get confused sometimes."
  17. Amen Larry. A man has to be thankful for what God has given him, be it big, small or in between. It sounds like God has given you much. Or at least much in the area of self promotion. I am not sure which, but please no photos of verification are necessary.
  18. I didn't like it. I though it was great on special effects, but felt the writing was vague, lacking and did not have a lot of thought or planning behind it. It kind of reminded me of a Flash Gordon Cartoon. The movie even ended in the middle of a scene to try to lure the people into seeing the next episode. Episodes of Star Treck have more plot. Sorry, but that is my opinion.
  19. Thanks John. However, what really bugs me is those pop-up advertisements that flash on my screen when I am trying to do something constructive, usually work related. They annoy me greatly. How do we stop these from flashing on our screens uninvited?
  20. Yea, I get bombarded with those Penis enlargement e-mails too. I keep trying to tell them that I don't need enlargement, a reduction perhaps, but not an enlargement. However, they never listen to me.
  21. Happy Birthday John. Have fun, but don't break a leg or anything else. Afterall, Hope wants to keep you in one piece. Regards, Mark
  22. Happy Birthday John. May Hope throw you a great party.
  23. Galen: I hope you had a good birthday. Thanks for your input on GS Cafe. Regards, Mark
