This is a serious problem. Because of outsourcing of manufacturing we now have a trade deficit of approximately $800 billion dollars per year. That is a lot of money leaving our country. Normally, we would feel the ripple effects of this kind of loss of money in our economy. Except the government has been borrowing money at an ever increasing rate to hide the effects of their harmful trade policies. And now we have not only a large yearly trade deficit, but also large government debt. We need to go back to having managed trade which would be harmonious with our own economy and industry rather than the current free for all of sending manufacturing to the cheapest places on earth just so our multi-national corporations can make higher profits. With managed trade we could examine our imports in comparison to our exports on a periodic basis. And choose which products and from which countries we will grant a minimum import duty to and which imported products would be tariffed more heavily. In this way imports could be used to harmoniously support rather than harm our U.S. economy like is occuring now with all the debt incurred. Some people might say that with the loss of the value of the dollar in comparison to the currencies of other nations this will encourage more manufacturing in the U.S. Not necessarily. That would depend on which nations the dollar is dropping in comparison to. Also with the damage previously done with outsourcing and the moving of factories overseas it will take extra money now to move these factories lost back to the U.S. and there is no guarantee that this will occur once these factories are lost. Hence, for our own economic prosperity as a nation and that of our own self reliance we need to keep the GM factories in the United States.

What I said to 2 JWs at my door today...
Mark Sanguinetti replied to thankgodifinallywokeup's topic in Open
A couple of girls from a local Jehovan's Witness church have come by my home a few times. They are nice enough and I have discussed a few things with them. I told them I was a bible student and a part time bible teacher. There was no argument regarding this after I showed them a few scriptures and listened to what they had to say. They gave me a pamphlet the last time I talked with them and I told them that I would read it and give them my honest evaluation. They pamphlet had some good biblical information. For example, the dead are not alive now. Jesus is not actually God, but the son of God and second to God in authority. However, I found some serious problems with this denomination in the area of false prophecies. The Jehovah's Witness denomination used to be aligned with The Seventh Day Adventist at the turn of the 19th century and the late 1800s. Like the Seventh Day Adventists they are really into end times chronology. Nothing wrong with that. I have studied the books of Daniel and Revelation myself with a couple of Seventh Day Adventists who were part of our weekly bible study group for a while. The problem is, is that the Jehovah's Witnesses going back to the late 1800s and early 1900s have made a number of predictions as to the actual year that Jesus Christ would return and set up his millenial kingdom. Oh boy what a mistake and I am chuckling now as I write. As we know from Acts chapter 1 Jesus Christ specificially told his disciples that we would not know when the Lord Jesus would return to set up his kingdom, but that it would come unexpected. So what have the Jehovah's Witness leaders done for the last hundred years or so that is crazy and wrong? They have made a number of predictions as to the year that Jesus would return and been, as expected, wrong with every single prediction. To make matters worse after making the errant predictions instead of coming clean and saying they were wrong. Saying we are sorry for our errant predictions and we won't do this ever again. Instead of that they have simply covered up their errors and then lied about this to God's people. And now my friends we are talking about outright false prophecies by the leaders of the Jehovah's Witnesses. One year, I forgot which. They were so embarrassed about their false prophecies and because of their pride so felt the need to cover up their error that they said that the the millenial Kingdom of the Lord Jesus where he rules the world with all nations subject to him had actually begun in secret. Now if that is not insane I don't know what is. With all the wars, murders and injustice of this world to say that Jesus Christ now rules as the king of the nations is the height of foolishness. I do believe that some day Jesus will return and set up his millenial kingdom and have all nations and rulers subject to him, but when this happens. We will see and people will experience what is not taking place on earth now. Namely there will be peace, justice and goodwill towards all men and there will be no wars during Jesus' millenial kingdom. If you want to know what to tell a Jehovah's Witness the next time one comes to your home just click on one of the links below. I have even printed these and will give them copies the next time I see them. http://www.cftf.com/booklets/jwslisten/prophecies.htm http://www.chick.com/reading/books/135/135_02.asp -

Peter Wade Travels to the United States
Mark Sanguinetti replied to Mark Sanguinetti's topic in Open
Peter is certainly not out to form another cult following or to be a burden on God's people like the Way denomination was. He is very self reliant or reliant on God depending on how you look at it. My message here is mainly if you live close enough to attend a fellowship or teaching with Peter Wade you will likely enjoy it. Of course, there is no reason that I can think of to travel around the country just to go to one of his meetings. That means in looking at his remaining schedule if you are in Northern California, Oregon or Washington and close enough to get to a meeting I want to encourage you to attend. If you live in another state the journey is likely to far for you to be in attendance. In that case you can still be a part of it by simply praying for Peter and his journey and the experience of those in attendance. -
Peter Wade Travels to the United States
Mark Sanguinetti replied to Mark Sanguinetti's topic in Open
Moving this to the top so that everyone knows about our friend Peter Wade coming to the United States. Incidentally, Peter was one of the first people to stand up to Wierwille and let him know his religious power hungry ways were wrong, wrong, wrong. And through the years Peter has always maintained his humility and warmth towards others. If you are near enough to one of the teaching/fellowship locations where he will visit I strongly recommend being a part of it and attending. -
If anyone tries this let us know if we can hit the AA battery jackpot.

One of my favorite persons is coming to the United States from his homeland of Australia. If you don't know Peter Wade you are missing something. This man has a heart of gold. He is very warm hearted and very kind. He is a pretty good bible teacher too. Actually Peter is a rare person for a Christian minister as he is not one dimensional in the least and has a variety of skills including good writing skills and similar to our Grease Spot Cafe's Pawtucket has some very good web site technology knowledge and skills also. If you are close to any of the below listed teaching locations I think you would really enjoy spending some time with Peter and his wife Vivian during their U.S. tour. They are both beautiful people. Teaching and fellowship locations with dates are as follows: Charleston, West Virginia (Sept. 20-23) Petaluma, California (Sept. 25) Bothel, Washington (Sept. 27, 29) Grants Pass, Oregon (Oct. 2) Portland, Oregon (Oct. 5-7) For more details click on the link below from Peter's web site. I hope some of you can make one of the fellowship nights. I will be at the Petaluma, California evening fellowship on Sept. 25th. And I look forward to spending time with my good friend from Australia, Peter Wade. http://www.peterwade.com/modules.php?name=Seminars I just noticed that the information for the Petaluma, CA fellowship night is incomplete on Peter's site. The information for the other Peter Wade teaching locations has complete information on his above linked site. The Petaluma, CA fellowship will start at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday night Sept. 25th. The location will be the Sonoma Mountain Parkway Church of Christ at 370 Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Petaluma, CA 94954. Directions are as follows: From Highway 101 (north or south), take the East Washington Exit. Proceed east on East Washington Street and cross McDowell Blvd (major intersection). Turn left on Sonoma Mountain Parkway and proceed to 370 Sonoma Mountain Parkway. I think the church will be on the right hand side of the street. Turn right at Castle Drive to enter the church parking lot. The teaching session will be held in the Fellowship Room. I understand that Steve Heefner wil be the MC.

Any California Leadership from the late '80's
Mark Sanguinetti replied to Seth R.'s topic in About The Way
In California there were two waves of people leaving the Way Denomination in mass. The first wave was 1986/1987. Those people were informed of TWI's dirty dealings by people like Ralph Dubofsky and John Lynn. I found out from two people one of which was in my twig who was the sister or cousin of a family of long standing dedicated way people a few of which had spent time at International headquarters. She knew about Wierwille's sexual escapades and shockingly informed me. I was the only twig coordinator to leave my branch (Solano County), but a neighboring branch (Marin County, a long standing branch) led by their branch leader all left in mass. The next wave of people to leave TWI was in about 1988 or 1989. They may have left because of a weird letter received from Craig Martindale saying follow me or else. And are you with me or Chris Geer? Some of them answered back and said we follow Jesus Christ which was the right thing to say and do. Unfortunately, in this group of people leaving was the limb leader Doug Seed. He convinced many of these people leaving to send the abundant sharing to him at his Way of California headquarters instead of to the Way at New Knoxville, Ohio. I heard he bought a very nice home with the money that he collected from his followers. When I left (1986 or 1987) I remember talking to my branch leader as I was resigning and he hinted that if you stay just a little while longer you will have a number of people that will leave with you. I told him that knowing what I know about the corruption at New Knoxville I would not stay one day longer. Also I was beginning to figure out the the way tree used as a religious hierarchy of power was completely unbiblical. At this time, one of the articles that I wrote and shared with every wayfer that would listen to me to help get them out of the Way denomination is now at the following web site page. http://www.christianherald.info/lordship_o...s_christ_1.html -
Any California Leadership from the late '80's
Mark Sanguinetti replied to Seth R.'s topic in About The Way
I am from California. I was out of the Way starting in about 1987. However, I can tell you that the likelihood of a branch in Eureka is pretty small due to lack of population. I went to college in Chico which is pretty far north. One of my roomates, also a wayfer, was from Anderson near Redding, CA. This is also very far north. He never told me about a branch in the northern part of California. I doubt if the Way denomination ever had a branch that far north in California. Besides, no reason to sneak up on an arrogant minister like Craig. I would prefer just telling him face to face that his ministry was not worth anything. I wrote him a couple of times in 1987 and told him as much. I even included my name and address. -
I think it was Ernest L. Martin who was one of the bible scholars that used astronomy and astronomical signs to determine that the birth date of Jesus Christ may have been Sept. 11, 3 B.C.E. http://www.askelm.com/star/star006.htm

Hi Tracy: It is your old friend Mark here. How is Ted? I will be praying for you guys and the rain in your state, but have you considered posting this in our prayer forum? The people that visit there are very faithful and persistant with their prayer efforts while also being chatitable about the experience. It is a good forum. Good to hear from you. One more thing. I recently, wrote up a Christian web site. Check this one out. The biblical teachings page is especially good. I wrote two of the articles and the other three are also quite interesting. http://www.christianherald.info All the best Tracy. Regards, Mark

Why is it so hard to get in touch with someone?
Mark Sanguinetti replied to hollygolitely's topic in About The Way
I wish I would have written that. Thanks for your astute and spiritually keen insights Socks. -
Freud would have a field day with such a character. And when you wrote "external vagina" and seeing that the female organ is internal and the male organ is external, I thought it was a typo, but evidently not. I can only describe his persona thusly. "That is one dude with his head deeply wedged up his A$$."

CES news?
Mark Sanguinetti replied to sprawled out's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
I guess we are just two different people Pond. I made the time and had the energy of my convictions to communicate with John on his life and a problem that he was avoiding and the results were very good for him. He got back together with a woman that he told me he loved. I think that is what friends do for one another. Of course, I had some help as I was in communication with other people so that I was not in the dark regarding John's and others' circumstances. -
We can start by educating ourselves as to what is actually going on. So that when conservatives, cons for short, like Grover Norquist and his band of parrots say that, We can then give them a straight answer and solution that helps our country instead of seeing it wallow in debt. And Dot, you are such a great and courageous lady and because you might be currently low of money if you are interested in Thom Hartmann's book and promise to read it from cover to cover I will buy you a copy and have it sent to you. I am off to a party of a friend now, but let me know via private message and I will make the arrangements. And remember Dot. Inspite of your current circumstances. You rock!!!!!

Hi Dot: I see your point of view on this. Myself and others have been trying to warn people about things that everyone should have in common namely the economy, the constitution, the environment, but people have been hoodwinked into a them versus us mentality. I have not seen such a cult like attitude since our days with TWI, except this problem is a lot bigger and one that is hard to ignore. Many of the big money people want to send our good jobs to the cheapest foreign labor markets they can while avoiding taxes, yet still have access to our U.S. market and get as many government contracts that are financed with debt as they can. Some people, even here on Grease Spot Cafe, don't see any problem with this and think it is natural to avoid taxes yet take advantage of all the things this country still has to offer namely a market with money and a legal system that helps them collect their debts. An interesting book that I have been reading is one by Thom Hartmann title "Screwed: The Undeclared War Against the Middle Class". Thom has a great knowledge of the history of this nation and has some ideas of how we can get back what is being taken from us as U.S. citizens. He also has a very positive attitude and is a uniter of many people. See if you can get a copy. You would find it interesting.

CES news?
Mark Sanguinetti replied to sprawled out's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
I am glad you had the good sense to not get involved with the personal prophecy Pond. I e-mailed Elizabeth yesterday and asked her if the CES leaders involved with personal prophecy had apologized to her regarding their false prophecies of her. She previously e-mailed me and told me that John had definitely apologized to her for his part in this. And now they are back together so John obviously benefited greatly by this expression of humility and loving fruit. I will let you know the response I get back from Elizabeth. I don't want to be to much of a pest, but I don't think CES is going to do very well unless they come clean on the hurt that they have caused people and not just Elizabeth. Before I make a fuss and start confronting people I need to hear back from Elizabeth though. And I do have CES leaders e-mail addresses. This whole thing is so obvious to me and others that CES is reaping the fruit of the hurt that they have caused to others with their current lawsuit. If they would start publicly and privately apologizing from the heart (like John Lynn did with Elizabeth) then their ministry would do much better than the pathetic state that it is in now. -
That is very good news Templelady. Thanks for sharing it with us. Now if we could only do something about that bad hospital bill.

CES news?
Mark Sanguinetti replied to sprawled out's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
So Pond were you one of the people in CES that gave the false prophecies about Elizabeth? If so have you repented of this ungodly act? Do you know if the people that were involved with CES and gave the false prophecies about Elizabeth, and I can imagine others, repented of their ungodly acts? And if they have not apologized to Elizabeth and asked forgiveness publicly for their ungodly actions do you think that CES will ever recover as a biblical ministry? And even if you were not involved with the false prophecies at CES and they don't relate to you, then the last question above still should be considered. -
CES news?
Mark Sanguinetti replied to sprawled out's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
Is that really what you think ChristAlone, myself and others here are trying to do in encouraging you to exalt the Lord Jesus instead of an organization? Some of us love people enough to put our feet down and say "enough is enough". As one example Pond, did you hear how John and Elizabeth overcame the pain of their separation and got back together as a loving couple? It was because Elizabeth's letter was published on Grease Spot Cafe and then after I read some of it, seeing that it was of a very high spiritual quality, I phoned John Lynn myself and kept pestering him until he actually read Elizabeth's letter. Before that when he had on the blinders of the political struggle of CES, John had not even read Elizabeth's letter even though it was addressed to him. Once John finally read the letter he realized that the dirt that was being passed by certain ignorant individuals at CES as the spirit of prophecy with regard to Elizabeth was a lie. And if you have any doubts to my story contact Elizabeth or contact John. Ask them yourself. This is the kind of personal victory that I rejoice in. Frankly, for to long we have put corporate organizations above the personal lives of those we supposedly love. I will no longer do that. The individual must live and breath and if we are wise enough by God's grace and truly spiritual we can also rejoice in the saviour, the Lord Jesus. Organizations can come and go. It is the individual heart that matters. -

Mark Sanguinetti replied to sprawled out's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
Pond the ministry of Jesus Christ is a lot bigger than any denomination, church group or organization of any kind. You are not responsible if the CES people won't listen to good advice. You are only responsible for your own life and personal ministry with the Lord Jesus. Pond, if you feel this bad you may be expecting to much from CES. Here is an article that may help you get over this and emphasize the Lordship of Jesus instead of the lives of imperfect and sometimes sinful people. http://www.christianherald.info/lordship_o...s_christ_1.html -
The silence is deafening..
Mark Sanguinetti replied to Ham's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
As usual a great post ChristAlone. You show a great deal of wisdom and biblical understanding. And your views are very practical also. I am going to send you a private message. I want you to have my e-mail address. You would be an ideal proof reader the next time I write a biblical article. My proof readers also assist with spiritual insight. Carry on and keep up the good work everyone. -
Spideyville news
Mark Sanguinetti replied to Milfred_Zink's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
Yes, it is accurate. Elizabeth and John Lynn remarried. I heard from both Elizabeth and John on this. I am glad for them. I am especially happy that John was able to finally get his priorities straight. To many times people put corporate (denominational) interests above the interests of personal individual lives. I think they will do well with their marriage now. They learned some valuable lessons in the process even if it was the school of hard knocks. And from my experience with briefly talking to both Elizabeth and Karen Ann Graeser. Elizabeth is more spiritual and service oriented even on her worst days compared with Karen Ann. I have never met Elizabeth face to face, but judging from what she has written and one phone call with her I think she is a keeper. As for Karen Ann based on one conversation with her about 6 or 7 years ago I think she is power hungry and jealous of others. And anyone like that that shows such a lack of godly fruit should have no part in Christian ministry. Perhaps I should tell you my experience with KAG. Six or seven years ago I was with some friends at a CES meeting by the names of Greg and Karen Kirkpatrick. They own a nice church building in Gilroy, California. After a CES meeting the 3 of us ran into Karen Ann and Karen Kirkpatrick told her about the nice church building that they owned in Gilroy with which to hold their church services. Karen Ann when hearing of this became obviously jealous and envious and the three of us, Greg and Karen Kirkpatrick and myself could not help but notice the obvious jealousy on her part. It was like Karen Ann Graser wanted the church building for herself and wondered out loud why the Kirkpatricks instead owned the building. Karen Ann Graser with that kind of attitude should have no place in Christian ministry.
