With the entire U.S. economy so dependant on debt and finance it is easy to see why it would be on such a roller coaster. If they lower interest rates the stock market along with real estate prices will go up or remain the same. If they raise interest rates the stock market or real estate prices will go down. And if they keep interest rates about the same the stock market and real estate prices will also go down. I was hearing a couple of weeks ago that after the fed lowered interest rates a little the investors were already complaining that the fed should lower the interest rates even more.

Sorry Danny, but if Kansas would have been in the BCS championship game they would have played against Ohio State. Remember, Ohio State has one loss. LSU has two. Therefore Ohio State is ranked number 1. I know, I know. Next I will hear more of that ragin cajun rant about how LSU is going to beat the stuffin out of them Ohio yankees. Yie ha! But I aint so sure bout yur predictin.
-
Listen to that cajun trash talk dissin the Ohio State Buckeyes. Are there any Buckeye faithful here to defend the honor of your school, state and football team? Who are the best players for LSU and Ohio State any whose?

No PAC 10 team played a patsy schedule. The Pac 10 is a very competive and difficult schedule with PAC 10 teams losing to conference opponents while they were highly ranked, but not losing to out of conference opponents while they were highly ranked. A case could be made that the Pac 10 teams knocked themselves out of higher rankings. A number of Pac 10 teams lost to Pac 10 rivals while they ranked in the top 10 or top 5. For example, USC, Cal, Oregon and Arizona State. All were ranked in the top 10, but lost conference games which brought them down in the rankings. LSU on the other hand did lose a couple of conference games also, but won a number of games by just a few points or with last second victories. You could say they were good under pressure or lucky or both. But we will see how they do against Ohio State. I think Ohio State can beat them. Any Buckeye fans here to tell us how good your team is? We have had enough ranting cajun talk. Now let's hear some Buckeye bravada.

Well that is just cajun talk saying that USC played a patsy schedule. They are in the Pac 10 and that is a very competitive conference. The Pac-10 bowl game record for this year was 4-2. That might put them second to the SEC conference as far as a bowl game record. However, LSU would still have to beat Ohio State for this to be the case. Otherwise the two conferences might have about the same as far as percentage of bowl game victories. And over the course of the entire season comparing the out of conference records of the Pac 10 and SEC. The Pac 10 has a good record also. So again saying that USC played a patsy schedule is just cajun talk with no relationship to actual on field performance when compared to the other conferences. I just compared the SEC out of conference won lost record with the PAC 10. I must admit the SEC record was a very impressive 47 wins versus 11 losses. The PAC 10 record for out of conference however was a very respectable 25 wins versus 12 losses.

Well Danny, after watching USC (University of Spoiled Children) the last few games, including there trouncing of Illinois. I would say your LSU Tigers were fortunate to get in the national championship bowl game and equally fortunate to not have to play USC. But then I am a Cal Bears fan and my team won versus the Air Force Academy.

That was very cool. Peter and Vivian are friends of mine and I did not even realize that they had a 50th year wedding anniversary this December. Peter can be funny sometimes. When he talks about their marriage sometimes he says that Vivian is his first wife. He can be a bit of a leg puller sometimes. After 50 years of marriage to the same woman (Vivian) you would not expect him to have a second or third.

I watched Sweet Daddy D. That was great. Very funny. Thanks Dave.

Hey George (still laughing while he types). That was to funny. Thanks much. And speaking of funny phone calls. Here is one done by a friend of mine, Sharon Fox.
-
Now that sounds very cool. Cowgirl, did you catch that from Waysider and Coolchef? That sounds very very cool.
-
That seems like some good information Waysider, but what about Cowgirl's lawn? I have no experience, but I am thinking that if she puts an ice rink over it the part of the lawn with the ice rink over it is going to die. What do you think? Writing while listening to "Cowgirl in the Sand" one of my all time favorite songs. Maybe I will ask a friend of mine who has a landscape business.
-
That makes good sense Cowgirl. Do we have any landscape people at Grease Spot that know about lawns? With very little experience I am not sure. How has your lawn responded with the cold weather between winter and spring/summer under normal circumstances? Does the lawn grow back or do you have to replant anyway? But Cowgirl what about those slap shots on the side of your house? Any windows that can get broken? But then I am assuming your boys are hockey players with hockey being the national winter sport of Canada.
-
That is a bit small for your boys to play hockey. Is that 15 feet by 30 feet or 15 meters by 30 meters? If it was 15 meters by 30 meters you would have a great spot for a small hockey area.

I will be praying for your Dad Nero. Thanks for letting us know the need.

Whoever did that Rocky Horror Youtube video is both talented and creative. -
Here is a very straight forward and to the point explanation of mustard from the Nelson Bible Dictionary.

Yea what Belle said. Can we have names with the faces?

You guys must have gotten the package that I sent to you. It arrived at Ex-10s house today. Are there any guesses as to the contents? No, there is nothing ticking inside. Hint: If they can all be used some of you may need to go on a diet plan. But hopefully this can wait until after the Texas Barbeque.

Tzaia says, This is likely Mark Graeser's side and story. However, did you actually read the bylaws to verify whether this is true or not true? Why would CES take a vote at all if this is true? And my understanding is that CES removed him as president of the board and not entirely from the board. There really has to be accountability for any church or corporation and their officers. Does anyone have a copy of the actual CES corporate bylaws that they can post here?

Here is my teaching to reprove and correct the very unbiblical doctrine and practice of the Way tree hierarchy. http://www.christianherald.info/lordship_o...s_christ_1.html

A godly topic. It sounds like I am in agreement with Patrick and Sarah on this one. Is that two people or one?

The problem is our large trade deficit (currently about 800 billion dollars per year) because of jobs going overseas and south of the border for cheaper labor. This decrease in corporate labor expenses can cause as increase in corporate profits and cause the stocks to go up in value also. The problem with this however, is the loss of money in our U.S. economy due to the large trade defict. This would hurt corporations who sell products in the U.S. as people would then have less money to spend, but the government is simply borrowing the lost money back into the economy. The amount of the trade deficit with the increased government and consumer debt to cover this up is not sustainable. Of course, some people that profit from ever increasing debt, for example real estate agents, stock brokers, bankers, etc. like this. The only time they will ever see or care about a financial crisis is when their commission check comes late in the mail.

Happy birthday Cowgirl. You are smokin' hot girl. Especially for someone that is not much older than 100. Here is to the next 100 years.

Thanks Socks. It was good to meet you and your wife also. And I have always admired you for your work ethic and abilities here on Grease Spot and I noticed your humility in person at the fellowship. That is a very good combination. I hope we can get together again in the near future. Saturday night we are going to have a little bible discussion and fellowship over at Peter Churchill's house. I hope you and your wife can make it. Just let me know if you need directions. Regards, Mark
