53. Because the genitive is not the only case.
-
The second time establishes it.

This is all so devilish, spawned by devil seed. And so tragically funny. Just so absurd! Yet, so sad. Exploiting the naïveté of the youth is, well, just evil. The evidence of victor's urge to defecate in the mouth of God is literally EVERYWHERE. Boy, oh, boy! I'd hate to be victor on that day. Mmmmmph. MMMMMPH! Salam maka seetay!

Holy shonta!! That's a lot of meetings! So, work wasn't done after dinner? Six meetings per day? Is that one more than the Muslim calls to prayer? Isn't that five times? No wonder nothing was ever accomplished.

Except I didn't. You changed your line from ASSEMBLY to ATTITUDES. That's fine and predictable. victor moved the goal post all the time, too. Attitudes and activities. Fine. So what? This has nothing to do with how (H-O-W) or that (T-H-A-T) a canon was formed over the subsequent centuries. We have letters from early church fathers and council meeting minutes as evidence showing the gradual formation of the canon. I'm sure their attitude was the same as the evangelists or any group concerned with assembling an authoritative list of books - a canon.

48. Because lies and the liars who tell lies suck.
-
I would say lo shonta to this, but that would be a squatted dump in the face of the divinity of this post. Amen!
-
Well, that's what a canon is. What do you think this topic is about? You said the evangelists assembled the canon. I knew you were being willfully ignorant of what canon means. That's why I provided the definition, repeatedly. How do you see that? With your binoculars? I never had problems with fluency. In fact, I'm trilingual in SIT. You probably didn't even know that was available. But, hey, you can't go beyond what you were taught. I think if victor had believed big enough to live long enough, Father would have lead him to me with a trail of cookies, and I would have taught him how (H-O-W) to SIT fluently.

28. Because bull$hit sucks.

27. victor teaches the LEAST a Christian should be expected to do is tithe - before ANYTHING, tithe. The implication is you are not a Christian if you don't tithe. The tithe is victor's sine qua non of Christian identity. Guilt trips and gas lighting all the way down.
-
Lo shonta to this!! **My highest compliment

17. Hyperdispensationalism 18. The spiritual and intellectual retardation required to claim four crucified. 19. Four hours of content held forth over 36 hours.

15. He disparagingly and erroneously calls Jesus a bastard Jew. 16. He spiritually and physically replaces God's only begotten with YourWalk+Believing+TheBible+ChristInYou. (Boy, oh, boy! I'd hate to be victor on THAT day.)

Right. I get it. Lo shonta! What's unique about this particular canon topic is the assumption (postulate) that the canon identifies itself as the canon. Still waiting for the evidence of a list of authoritative books listed within the authoritative books identified as authoritative by their own authority.

Respectfully, OS, it sounds like you are addressing text types, transmission vectors and translations. These are different issues from canon. HOWEVER, the Alexandrian vs. Byzantine text type would make for a fascinating topic.

Where in 2 Timothy does it list the orthodox books? Where does it say, for example, The Apocalypse of John of Patmos is right but The Apocalypse of Peter is wrong?

Pistis Christou can be either an objective genitive (Faith in Christ) or a subjective genitive (Faith of Christ). I presume the decision is theological. I don't have a position on this, but I know it's debated among theologians. I remember being taught with great force, anger, and frustration by my TWI teacher that faith is something we have and believing is something we do, but I don't remember how pistis Christou was handled. And then there's believing faith. MOREOVER, believing is part of the equation that defines the word of God. It seemed like pistis could mean whatever whenever, according to the size of the glove and the amount of snow. Though there are other verses, these two seem especially important: Galatians 2:15-16 and Romans 3:21-26. Three questions: How do you handle the objective/subjective genitive? Asset or Liability? Lo Shonta?
