  1. Mike: It is more complicated when spirit is present It is? Mike: That in itself is good reason to resort to the less complicated, body and soul man. It is? Mike: I don't need to know the exact reasons, and neither do you, to look FIRST at the simple before graduating to the more complex. You don't? And neither do I? Mike: Now, THAT being said, I might speculate that having spirit means more avenues of learning. You might? Mike: Since my analysis shows free will is a complex learning thing, It does? Mike: it is too complicated to consider learning via spirit. It is? Mike: Maybe God can boost "will power" via spirit. Maybe he can? Mike: PLUS, if I want to make my research marketable to neuroscientists, I must start with the body and soul man. Must you? Mike: That is all they want to hear about. It is?
  2. Mike: I'm not understanding what you mean here. Not since victor's regurgitating of Bullinger's four crucified error has someone failed so deeply to understand. Mike: Instead of silencing me or shuffling me off to a closet, why not look at your own house and see if you are throwing out the PFAL baby with the bathwater. Never leave a rotting corpse in the bathtub. Throw that waterhead baby out! Mike: If you were building a mindful model of what went wrong at TWI, it would not collapse at my mere posting. Mike's posting CONFIRMS what is wrong at TWI and PFAL. The only things collapsing are Mike's logical fallacies and failed propositions under the weight of Mike's logical fallacies and failed propositions.
  3. Like a sign posted on a cage at the zoo ...or the hospital.
  4. Mike: while smaller but very vocal schools of thought are looking at the confabulation as fundamental. Citation? Cognitive neuroscience sees CONSCIOUSNESS as FUNDAMENTAL, and what we think we see is not reality. The analogy is icons in the interface of the computer desktop. The email icon is not what generates and executes the email, but the icon is exceedingly more useful and efficient than screwing with all the circuits and transistors. I posted a TedTalk from Donal Hoffman a while back. I'll look for it and repost while Mike looks for his citation.
  5. Mike: In the Bible man's mind is portrayed as egotistical and self boasting. and not possessing the great wisdom it likes to think. Hence, the motivation to purchase credentials
  6. Mike: neuroscience these days sees human consciousness as a bit of a confabulation. A profoundly inaccurate assertion. Neuroscientists today see consciousness as FUNDAMENTAL. And the mathematicians and physicists working with them see spacetime as doomed. Anyone interested in what they are working on can find out for themselves. 7. If victor and his collaterals could have been given enemas when he died, both victor and his collaterals could have been buried together in a matchbox.
  8. This hypocrisy needs to be understood. Well said. victor went to great lengths to bash academia, yet he beleeeved those credentials to be so very important that he purchased a "degree" so he could pretend to have academic authority and credibility. Why invoke an academic title, if it's meaningless?
  9. Ever go to the beach out there in California? Ever play in the ocean? Ever scoop and hold the water with your hands? What is in your hands? Is the ocean in your hands? Now, is Truth something to be possessed?
  10. Kind of a Gödel dilemma there. My mind isn't closed to anything. Only a wide open mind can perceive that there is no good reason for a closed mind.
  11. Because the benefits don't exist. The probability of a closed mind ever conferring benefits is exactly ZERO.
  12. Did you convert any in your science club? Did you admit to them how you feel about confirmation bias?
  13. Real simple: your boy, Johniam, said a music coordinator told him victor was The 7th THE Man of God (T7TMOG). WITAF does this mean? Who are the other six? Does this mean Loy is the 8th The Man of God? Who is this music coordinator? Call your boy. I want answers.
  14. Already did, but I'll warn you the discussion of the topic of the illusion of free will is contingent upon answering some lingering questions. Details are in the opening post.
  15. You don't have to answer this, if you don't want to. Were you the subject of a study at UCSD? Or, did you receive treatment for anything there?
  16. Pennies are the secret weapon for this shift. Did you convert any in your UCSD science club? Did you admit to them how you feel about confirmation bias?
  17. Did you convert anyone? Did you let them know how you feel about confirmation bias?
  18. Did you meet Donald Hoffman?
  19. Mike wanted me to start this topic so he can do what he does. What I want is to find out is who the other six "the men of god" are. Johniam said a music coordinator told him victor was "The 7th THE Man of God." Who is this music coordinator and who are the other six "THE Men of God"? I'm happy to discuss determinism and the illusion of free will, as long a we get to the bottom of this T7TMOG thing. This goes to the heart of cult manipulation and cult leadership and what it means to be a cult.
