Physicists are only as sure as the evidence they can observe. Scientists add to and change positions and theories based on observable evidence every day. Always have. Flat Earthers are not scientists, but they sure are sure in spite of the evidence. Same goes for Four Crucifiers - dogmatic surety in spite of the evidence.

Sorry. Here’s some more… Come down off your throne and leave your body alone Somebody must change You are the reason I've been waiting all these years Somebody holds the key

Yes.

As far as I can tell, the current consensus among physicists and cosmologists is that there is more evidence supporting the Big Bang and sufficient evidence refuting Steady State. The evidence is complicated, but it's available. One can find out for one's self if one cares to go beyond what one has been taught.

I try to teach my son how (H-O-W) to find out. I try to teach him how (H-O-W) to research. (He knows the accurate meaning of that word.) How to question, inquire, test, doubt. How to always follow the evidence wherever it might lead - especially evidence presented after he thinks he knows. I try to teach him that dogma is rarely good. I try to teach him to pay attention to his own confirmation bias and to be aware of biases held by others. I try to teach him the more he embraces the not knowing, the more he can know. HOWEVER,

What would you say to a bag of hammers? If a tree falls in the forest, but no one is around to see the bear take a $hit, is it 8:40 in the morning? What could one possibly say to such a non sequitur?

Do Children of Way Followers Want An Exit System?
Nathan_Jr replied to penworks's topic in About The Way
Regarding her (mother of the accused) conversations with investigators during the hearing, which lasted about four hours, the uncle said, “Their communication failed as she lives in a spiritual world.” -
There is only one question to be answered, but you still didn't answer it. If you misspoke about the cover ups of academic failures, fine. Just say so and we can end it. Otherwise, here's the question, again: What are some examples of academic failures that are covered up?

Come down off your throne And leave your body alone

What are some examples of academic failures that are covered up? Hundreds, even oodles and thousands, of victor paul wierwille’s errors and failures have been uncovered here and elsewhere. This was always his greatest fear. All NPDs dread being exposed for the frauds they are. Victor was a master at covering up and deflecting. In academia, workmen worthy of their hire earn increased credibility and reward for falsifying their own propositions and theories. (Read that again.) Papers are eagerly presented to peers for review - critical examination of one’s work is sought after, hoped for, desired.

Nope. At least twice. If it's revealed it's revelation. Operate? Whatever. So, obviously, SIT is NOT a prerequisite to getting something revealed from God, according to victor's 1942 story, which seems to change with every retelling.
-
Me too. He was neither. He was a lousy "scholar." Quite inept, actually. And that TMOG bracelet... cringe. I wouldn't want to have to explain that on that day. Bless his little, black heart. But there is a silver lining... I think if victor had beleeved big enough to live long enough, he might have humbled himself to the Father, and he might have been brought to sit at the feet of many here to get reproved, corrected and taught. Imagine that! What a dandy that would be!

No need to increase your understanding. Scripture will understand itself for you. Do not rely on your own understanding.
-
That's not how victor saw it. He called it revelation. Did you read the transcript?

"It depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is. If the—if he—if ‘is’ means is and never has been, that is not—that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement. … Now, if someone had asked me on that day, are you having any kind of sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky, that is, asked me a question in the present tense, I would have said no. And it would have been completely true.”
-
for truly I say to you, “if you have faith the size of a snowflake, you will say to this goal post, ‘Move from here to there,’ and the goal post will move; and no glove will be impossible for you to fit your hand.”
-
I thought that was the fool's errand when attempting to outsmart the devil. Rely not on your own understanding. All of those "keys" have been throughly refuted and disproven via common sense and logic - the least that God expects.

Says the master to the slave: Love me or else. This is not love.
-
That's not what I was "taught." I was "taught" to spit on on cars with WWJD bumper stickers. I was taught to ridicule people wearing WWJD t-shirts. I was taught this by someone who was throughly entrenched in and an expert of the collaterals.
-
Try what? Repeat the same tactics, methods and image building that resulted in failure the first time? Try again with more....grrrrrr!.... more ..... mmmmmph!....? Is that what love is? Focusing on the image of another constructed by thought?

Didn't victor tell a little boy that Jesus was in his chest? Was it at an ROA? Victor asked the little boy, "Where is Jesus?" The boy pointed toward the sky. Victor reproved and corrected him immediately by shoving his finger in that poor little boy's chest saying, "Jesus is in there!" That little boy is all grown up now. If you could meet that grown up boy at Starbucks today, you could have coffee with Jesus. Where is that little boy today? That's the REAL question!

Historicity need not get in the way of Truth. I don't accept the Bible as historically accurate in every word written. I don't think all of it is literally true. But it doesn't need to be. At least not for me. The Truth that is discoverable is not dependent on everything being perfectly accurate historically.

The eight symptoms of groupthink include an illusion of invulnerability or of the inability to be wrong, the collective rationalization of the group’s decisions, an unquestioned belief in the morality of the group and its choices, stereotyping of the relevant opponents or out-group members, and the presence of “mindguards” who act as barriers to alternative or negative information, as well as self-censorship and an illusion of unanimity. Decision making affected by groupthink neglects possible alternatives and focuses on a narrow number of goals, ignoring the risks involved in a particular decision. It fails to seek out alternative information and is biased in its consideration of that which is available. Once rejected, alternatives are forgotten, and little attention is paid to contingencyplans in case the preferred solution fails. https://www.britannica.com/science/groupthink The two entries directly following groupthink are persuasion and brainwashing. So, I mean to use the term in the context of cult. --------- I don't think it is always best to put one's self ahead of the group. I usually put others before myself, to a fault. This is not groupthink. It's selfless generosity guided by something greater than myself or the group. Ostracism is a real threat when one has given away EVERYTHING to join a cult. --------- When I was in the corporate world, I saw groupthink as a liability, not an asset. Though I expected my team to to be aligned with certain top line goals and values, I challenged them to be creative and think outside the box to find solutions. "We do it that way because we've always done it that way" is a bullshonta, lazy cop out that I strongly discouraged. (I was the black sheep in a good ol boy culture, but I delivered results that couldn't be denied.) --------- I understand the need for a sense of belonging, but if one must sacrifice one's individuality, independence and free thought for the group, then one should reconsider belonging to that group.

Asked and answered. If you want to know why (W-H-Y) PFAL required multiple viewings, I could explain in a relevant thread like .... ... Otherwise, your question and comment are off topic here.
