  1. Apparently, Loy was unwilling to go beyond what he was taught by victor paul wierwille. Loy didn't know how (H-O-W) to lead effectually, because leadership motivates action by example, not by position; victor paul wierwille taught the opposite. Ironically, victor paul wierwille's devilish example emboldened Loy to be a failed leader and a miserable person in relation to others. As all English Bible translations go back to Tyndale, all abject wickedness in TWI 1, 2, 3, 4... goes back to victor paul wierwille.
  2. 1. Kindness 2. Shared vulnerability 3. Understanding and empathy I can accept that a good relationship REQUIRES these three -- at least these three. Thanks, Rocky.
  3. Huh? WITAF is this supposed to mean? Who "taught" you this nonsense? Victor Paul Wierwille, founder of The Way International, Inc.? Is this in the collaterals? The AC? No.
  4. Never too late for stories like this. Damn, this is good. Thanks, Waysider
  5. How can one be instructed or commanded to be a cheerful giver? This seems counterintuitive to me. This passage in Paul is twisted by many religious institutions, not just TWI, to gaslight the earnest seeker to part with their money. If I give with the expectation to receive something in return, whether material wealth or future imagined spiritual rewards, then my motive is impure, no matter how cheerful I make myself. That is a quid pro quo transaction, and no amount of glove fitting can change this. Love does not keep score.
  6. The very first article in this May/June issue cunningly suggests how (H-O-W) they will meet their need. https://content.yudu.com/web/1rz5c/0A1tgm5/MJ2023/html/index.html?page=4&origin=reader
  7. May/June Way mag article on what time it is, page 34. https://content.yudu.com/web/1rz5c/0A1tgm5/MJ2023/html/index.html?page=34&origin=reader Virtually every sentence in this propaganda piece is a slice of rotten bread and an unintentional indictment.
  8. "The accuracy and integrity of the Word." This phrase might have been the first one to cause a raised eyebrow and a "huh?" "So accurate!...Wow, the accuracy... Mmmmmph, the way it just fits together -- it's so accurate!...mmmmph...." I heard this bullshonta constantly. I never inquired of anyone in fellowship about it, because I knew it would be bullshonta on bullshonta with sprinkles on top. What I've always wanted to ask is, accuracy by what measure? I was in San Francisco for Mother's Day and made my supernatural brownies for Mom. When I bake, I use a scale. I find it makes all the difference, because baking involve ratios -- accuracy and precision matter. I can measure the mass of the sugar and flour and chocolate and butter with accuracy by using a scale. That's why I can say I'm accurate with the amounts. (Volumetric measurements have too much variance. A cup of flour may weigh 128g or 145 or 157... depending on how you fill that cup.) When at the shooting range, I know how accurate my shots are based the holes in the target. The accuracy of the shot is measured against the target. But, the accuracy of the Word? Accurate by what measure? Compared to what? Says who? Which scale? Which target?
  9. All of this has been said before and since many times in various ways. Nothing new, but the composition, the phrasing was fun to read while waiting for my appointment -- especially those you mention. This from Oakspear is especially well-articulated. "Wierwille starts off by hammering on the theme of The Word is true, is faithful, is without error etc. Then he shows you that in modern translations there are errors, but then miraculously, through the power of research, solves the problem and voila! no errors. He spends a lot of time contrasting what mainstream churches teach with what he reads for us in black and white, all the while deriding the priests, popes and theologians for teaching otherwise, undermining our trust in anyone other than him! We hardly notice when he stops reading exactly what is written and starts slipping in his own interpretations, and most of us never realize that he's making up definitions and referring to texts and documents that exist only in his mind."
  10. A damn near perfect little thread. Pure gold from everyone contributing.
  11. Yes, it was. If one knows anything about translating foreign language, one should cringe at such an embarrassing, nonsensical phrase. Yes, because his “translation” is neither literal nor according to usage.
  12. One would never even contemplate the baseless postulate of this topic, if only one had ears to hear and eyes to see both the good news AND the great news. They are AVAILABLE, the good news and the great news. One need only know HOW to get them. Once gotten, one must know what to do with them. Hint: keep the good news parallel to the great news. If one is feeling embarrassed about not knowing what parallel means, one need only employ imagination and fantastical thinking to get linguistically creative enough to force fit the word balance into the mix. And, if one doesn’t know what balance means (some don’t), who cares? One must simply MAKE it fit. Hey! Literal according to usage is a nonsensical phrase, also. I mean, which is it? Literal? Or according to usage? Hey! I didn’t write the book! Bless you little hearts.
  13. Victor paul wierwille thought he knew God's timeline, too. (Actually, who tf knows what vic was thinking!) One time victor paul wierwille told a young man that his parents would be dead within five years. Boy, oh, boy, was ol' vic ever wrong about that! How wrong? Dead wrong, that's how. In fact, it was victor paul wierwille himself who was dead within five years, and that young man's parents lived on for decades. victor paul wierwille f*cked up BIG TIME. Boy, oh, boy, I'd hate to be him on THAT day. mmmmph
  14. Hmmmm… Maybe it’s holy spirit. It’s available. How to get it: confess with your mouth. What to do with it once gotten; with your mouth say something like, “Chewbacca paneria con papa para tu barbacoa.” H O W
  15. I never figured IT out, either. (This should be addressed before moving on to my good and great news.) I never asked the question of my fellowship commander, because I felt he wanted exactly that question so he could "teach" me the answer. I treated IT like I treated my aunt and uncle's BUSINESS. I just acted disinterested and unimpressed, so I wouldn't get caught in a sales presentation designed to sign me up. Is IT SIT? What exactly is IT? Anyone know?
  16. Almost. Before knowing what to do with it, you must know HOW to get it. That is, HOW to get what's available, and you already know what's available: news, good and great. Once you have it, then, Then, THEN you'll need to know what to do with it.
  17. E.W. Bullinger was a Flat Earther and member of the Universal Zetetic Society. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modern_flat_Earth_beliefs#19th_and_early_20th_centuries The fallacy of Flat Earth is the glove that fits the four-crucified hand.
  18. The ongoing discussion at large on the linguistics and biology related to gender and sex became abruptly and immediately relevant to me last night when I learned my first cousin is trans. We are the same age and were close as children. I only ever knew him as he/him. That's how will refer to him until he himself tells me otherwise. He was born male but now identifies as female. I found out about this at the same time I found out he has been missing for one year. It was also revealed to me that he was involved in the seditious riot in D.C. on January 6, 2021. No doubt the disparity between his extreme political identification and his gender identification had a role to play in his erratic and mysterious behavior, his divorce, his business loss, and his abandonment of his beloved daughter. I can't imagine the conflict and suffering he experiences within. Surely, one with such radical political ideology wouldn't choose to be trans! I haven't had an opinion on this issue of gender identity. I still don't really know what to think. Still sorting it out. Generally, I just don't care about a person's sexual orientation or identity. It is simply not what matters to me. While looking for some excellent Flat Earth debunking videos from Professor Dave (for the other thread), I found this very, very helpful video explaining sex and gender.
  19. A nice treatment, Chockfull. Thanks. Cone or code? What absurdity! I should know the answer to my own question by now (must renew mind). You aren’t making this up, are you?
  20. What a succinct little presentation — a glove tailor made for Mike’s hand. And Mike readily admits as much. This guy had Mike in mind Though, I might push back a bit on the data silo. The silo from which Mike draws his feed is not filled with data or information, rather, it’s filled with beleeef, bullsh-it, misinformation.
  21. If witnessing PFAL and vpw collaterals bears so much fruit, why be involved with GSC, which Mike claims is of the devil? Why engage with such devilishness? Do imagined future rewards exist for running races against spotters? victor was hyper-focused on devil stuff. The devil seemed to get as much or more of his attention as God, as Love. This is a hallmark of religious fraudsters, because it is so easy to talk about the devil, but really quite difficult to talk about that which is eternal, that which can’t be named - Principle, Love, Truth… God. What is the fruit of witnessing bullshonta?
