WW, thanks for the post!

WW, I understand what you said, but it angers me that TWI operates like this!! Where is the "Love of God" in this type of behavior??!! It is easy to understand why so many people left TWI, and will never return. So many of us were used in so many different ways; I didn't understand it then, but I do now!! WW, I was afraid to voice my concerns, and opinions years ago, because I thought I didn't understand "the big picture." Now, in retrospect, I am beginning to understand why I had doubts about going WOW; it was a poorly planned program. What did the WOWs really get from the program; not as much as TWI did. TWI pushed the program, because they made money from it. Nuts!! It could have been a wonderful program if VPW had wanted it to be; but he didn't give a S--t!! Gee, WW, I am finally beginning to fit the pieces together. Thanks!

Way, what a sicko!! VPW spoke out against Gays, and Lesbians, yet he used Bi-Sexual Women for his own purposes. What a POS!!! And he had the nerve to call himself a "Man of God!!". I am so glad he is dead. I do wonder though what his children thought about him. My father had his problems, but he was a Saint compared to VPW. I would have a very hard time going through life, knowing my father was a sick, sick puppy. I feel sorry for them, I really do.
-
Way, you are so right honey!! Who knows what VPW really thought about. But, in my opinion, he thought about himself, and what he wanted. No one else, and nothing else mattered, as long as he had what he wanted; everyone else could go pound sand. How selfish can one man be??!!
-
Exie, I thought VPW was against Gays, and Lesbians. I thought he hated them with a passion??
-
Perhaps she is!!!

Sky, you are so right! The GSC exposes the Dark Side of TWI. And to think I spent 10 years in this organization!!!!

WW, excellent post!! I have read on other threads, how some of the Corps had physical, or mental problems, and VPW put them on a bus, and somehow they got home, wherever that was. Personally, I think if I saw someone having any type of physical, or mental problem, I would phone 911, and have that person check into an Emergency Room. TWI lacked compassion, and empathy for people; especially those who were in greatest need of it

Thomas, what a cute joke!!!
-
NL, yes you are right. Most of us were young, and trusting. Now, most of us have learned the truth about TWI, and realise that VPW was a Con-Man, among other things.
-
NL, excellent post!! It did become about numbers, and classes. Somehow, God and people were left out. I think TWI was a lot more interested in making money, than serving God.
-
Way, I got so tired of hearing that!! It was as if the only purpose of our lives was to witness, sign people up for classes, and ABS. Finally, I had enough of that garbage, and left! I wanted my life back.

Mod, wow! I wondered why I couldn't post recently; perhaps the forums were down.

Sky, interesting post. I too grew up on a farm; it was a lot of work. I can well understand why a lot of Corps left TWI; they were getting married, raising families, going to college, ect. This is normal behavior for people; our society encourages people to do this things. I think VPW was delusional if he thought he could prevent people from NOT doing these things. As I am learning from the GSC, VPW wanted "his people", to give all their time, and money to TWI. And if they failed to do so, VPW would rant, and rave about it. I think VPW spent too much time in his Cornfield Cult, and not enough time in the real world.
-
WW, in my humble opinion, VPW lacked critical thinking skills. For example, he sent people out WOW, not knowing if they had criminal records or not. Also, almost anyone who wanted to go WOW was allowed to go; some of the WOWs I knew had Alcohol and Drug Issues. Some of them had Mental Health Issues. Some of them were wife-beaters. I think many people who went WOW had no business being on the field. Many of the people in the Corps had the same problems, and never should have been allowed in the program. I think VPW was a very shallow thinker; I think he thought of himself and his pleasures, and to Hell with everyone else. He had very little empathy, and compassion for others, and that includes his own family. No way would I ever qualify VPW as a great thinker.

Sky, I am confused; I thought Rosie bought one of her sons into the FC with her. I thought you had to have a child to be in the FC, when TWI had FC. Otherwise, why didn't she go regular Way Corps?

Cult Survivors: The Duality of Life

Wow T-Bone!! Great post! I am so happy that some good came out of your time with TWI. Some of us can say that our time spent in TWI, was great, while others wish they had never heard of it. I learned a lot from my time in TWI, but I paid a high price for it. I think if I had known 40 years ago, what I know about TWI, I would never have gotten involved with it. -
The 2014 Extravaganza & ordination of vpw

GM, great post!! Yes, I think the old timers should know better than to "promulgate" such hogwash, but I think they do it for a number of reasons. First and foremost, I think the old folks do it for the money. Some young people will pay the Sowers, to work free, like the Corps did decades ago. Also, I think some of the old timers do it for a sense of control. Young Victor may seem to be the one in control, but it is possible that the old timers control what happens to the group. Finally, I think the old timers want to resurrect TWI again, and give it a new name, with a young face. I think ultimately the group will fail, and young Victor will be the scapegoat for its failure. -

T-Bone, you are right about me reading the older threads, but some of them make a great deal of sense to me. -

Ham, it seems to me, that you can cut right through the BS, and get to the heart of the problem. I think you are right on the money, when you say that Chris G. was an enabler. I think VPW lived a sin-filled life, and when he knew the end was near, felt sorry to face God, or whatever comes after this life. I believe very strongly that we will have some sort of life after death, and try to remember that everyday. How I treat others today, will determine to a large extent the sort of life, I will have in the afterlife. If I died today, God forbid, I pray that God will be happy with what I have done with my life in this world, and treat me accordingly.
