Bol, what happens to people in TWI when they retire?? I thought they were kicked out. Would you please let me know the websites you are referring too??

Bol, I can only speak for myself. I was 21, when got involved in TWI. No one forced me to take the class; I was eager to take it. I finished the class in July of 1978, and in August, I went WOW. My WOW year sucked; after the rent, and other bills were paid, I had very little money left. Often times, I didn't have enough money to buy food; if you didn't have money for food, you starved!! No one held a gun to my head; I could have left the field; many WOWs did. I think adults had choices to stay, or leave TWI; again no one held a gun to our heads to make us stay. Kids were different; they had to stay with their parents. They didn't have any say in the matter. Some people stayed in TWI, because they were married, had kids, and earned a paycheck from TWI. But, that did not apply to me; I was not married, did not have kids, and did not have a job with TWI. If I had been smart, I would have left TWI, long before I did. It was my choice to stay; it was my choice to leave. Perhaps you didn't have a choice if you stayed, or left, but many of us did. I was responsible for my behavior then, and I am responsible for my behavior now.

Out, you too??!! I don't know the Lallyo's; where did they live?? When I was a WOW back in 1978, we were told by our AC, not to show up at a meeting, unless we had a new person. I brought a new person, but I realized later, that he had major Mental Health Issues. I always felt we were under a lot of pressure to run classes; we were judged by how many people we signed-up for PFAL classes. No wonder why so many of us left after 1985!!

John, I don't think he said it a positive way; he think he really expected us to do it. What an idiot!! He didn't even know me, and he was trying to control what I read, and watched. No, thanks!!

WW, which I never did! I thought the TWI books were boring as S--t! I read what I wanted to read, and watched whatever I wanted to watch on TV. I was an adult, and I did what I wanted to do. Hell, Lincoln freed the slaves!!

Twinky, if that had happened to me, I would have told her to go F-herself. I don't think I would have made it through the Corps training. Boot Camp was hard enough, but it only lasted 8 weeks.

T-Bone, interesting post!! I think you are right about the cutthroats in TWI; isn't it ironic that it claims to be a "Christian" organization?? IMHO, I think TWI is an ungodly organization, more concerned with money, than with man.

Chock, interesting posts!! I was an English major decades ago in college. Of all the English classes I took, the one I hated the most was Shakespeare!! To this day, I will not read "The Bard!" Anything except him!!
