Exie, I am not sure if you are the woman who wrote of being assaulted by VPW, but if you are, I can not thank you enough. The post made me cry, and made me really understand the utter depravity of VPW. No woman deserved that kind of treatment, ever!! I hope VPW suffers for his sins wherever he is.

Free, you are so right. When you had a problem, or asked for help, often you were looked down on. TWI always had their hands out asking for money, but not once did I ever see them help anyone financially. They used people as long as they could, and then kicked them to the curb, once they were done with you. Sad!

Raf, I would never write a book about my experiences in TWI; I would pay you and DWBH to write a book about your experiences in TWI. The two of you would have some interesting stories to tell, I think.

George, I was in from 1978-1988. I don't think I was all that sharp, but you are so right; there was a huge difference in doctrine, and practice. I noticed it on the WOW field in particular. People spoke about the love of God frequently, yet I rarely saw it being practiced.

DWBH, holy s--t, what a post!! I wondered why Don wasn't his father's successor; now I know. AOTS was a huge embarrassment for TWI, but I was informed that LCM could not be talked out of it. Jerk!! How sick, and twisted VPW was when he destroyed the lives of his son Don, and then Don turned on his mother, and siblings, made me want to scream!! He didn't care, the sick SOB!! How wicked can a man be??!! In his case, a lot. I am having a very hard time trying to understand all this garbage. The games VPW played with the head honchos in TWI, make the political games played here in DC look tame by comparison.

Sky, I am so happy that VB was sent to prison for 30(?) years. From what I understand, Child Molesters do not fare well in prisons. Nor should they. I have no sympathy for him, but I do feel for all of those young girls he victimized. I pray they will keep the help they will need to become functioning adults.

Ralph, it is my understanding that personality disorders are untreatable. Is that true?? I don't think VPW would have been treatable, even if he had sought help. But, to my knowledge, he never sought help for his PD.

DWBH, HH looked like a skeleton with greasy hair, and unkept nails, when he died in April of 1976. I believe he was Malnourished when he died; all that money didn't make for a happy life.

DWBH, I know you were there, and had a front seat to all the garbage that that transpired in TWI, but much of your post is news to me. I didn't know that Don hated his father so much; if VPW had been my father, I might have hated him too. I remember when he used to parade his family on stage during The Rock; how embarrassing that probably was for them!! All those fake smiles, when in truth, they probably wanted to be as far away from VPW as they could get!! As far as that trip to India, what a scam!! How much of it was true, is anyone's guess. It must have broken Mrs. W's heart to leave her baby behind; how could VPW do that to his family??!! DWBH, you are so right; it was sick, tragic, and evil.
