  1. Rascal, I agree. But, I think this young man may be getting pushed into something that he doesn't know how to deal with. Does he really want to start another group like his grandfather did, or is he being pressured into doing it??
  2. Ham, they may not be concerned, but those of us who been to this rodeo before, are very concerned.
  3. Twinky, perhaps a legitimate Bible College??
  4. Ham, if he wants to know about the history of TWI, he can Google it. I think he is being used, but he is an adult. If he allows himself to be used, he has no one to blame but himself.
  5. DWBH, you are right that people will be happy to see it's demise. I know I will. But, I do have to give TWI credit for something; they opened my eyes to the beauty of God. Perhaps they did for others as well.
  6. Sky, your post is so good, that I wanted to re-post it.
  7. Twinky, how sad this is!! And to think that Way World, used to be a busy, wonderful place.
  8. DWBH, thanks for all the information. I didn't know this. How sad though that thousands poured their time, and talent into something that will go the way of the Dodo. What a waste!!!
  9. Twinky, I wonder what will happen to the money when the leadership dies off.
  10. Way, that isn't quite true. A lot has changed in that, many of us woke up, and left for good. I wish I had left much sooner than I did.
  11. True!! So many of us finally got out, and stayed out. No more ABS for a phony cult.
  12. Ham, I think you are right; they haven't thought it through. What is the whole point of the program??
  13. Ham, I didn't know nuns could be so well-educated. Thanks for the information.
  14. Doo, I would not to join it either; even if I was young again. I don't understand the purpose of the program; are they training people to speak for God?? If they are, why don't they go to legitimate colleges, and get degrees??
  15. John, your last paragraph is great; I pray that the young man helps people, and doesn't hurt them. In time, we will find out if he is a MOG, or a monster.
  16. Ham, I don't know him, nor do I know much about his organization. However, I pray that the young people involved are not exploited, or used for "immortal purposes.". I hope it works well for everyone involved.
  17. Rascal, and everyone else; I am not against the young man, because I don't know personally know him. However, I would be very careful about this new off-shoot. I want to make sure, that no one is exploited, or assaulted. If someone gets hurt, who pays the medical bills?? Will they be a part of the community?? Will they be allowed to keep in touch with their families?? I don't have a dog in this fight; but I don't want anyone to be maimed for life.
  18. Ham, are you sure he is qualified to run anything??!!
  19. T-Bone, that is brilliant!!! I wish I had a shirt that said that!!!
  20. WW, the WOW program may have worked for some; but not for others. I knew a lot of WOWs who left before their year(s)ended. I think for most of us, it was a rough year; I know it was for me.
  21. Thomas, that is a good question. But, I am thankful that TWI opened my eyes to the beauty of God; I will be forever grateful for that.
  22. Pen, interesting question, would the world have been better off without TWI?? Would we have been better off if we had not gotten involved with TWI?? Wow, good questions!!!
