Bol, if I wanted to learn table etiquette, I would Goggle Emily Post. -

Dot, your dress was beautiful!!!

Groucho, I think I read on a thread that he was somewhere in Ohio. I have no idea if he is still with UPS, or not.

Ham, who did they rent them out to?? Just curious.

WOW and LEAD trademarked by SOWERS?
Grace Valerie Claire replied to JustThinking's topic in About The Way
Bean, I went WOW once, and had a horrible year!! I lost a lot of weight because I didn't have enough money to buy food. Then my Area Leader got mad at me because I left when my year was up. Some WOWs may have had good years, but most of us had terrible ones. -

Ham, I think they may be cloning another TWI. The Original TWI was bad enough; I think SOWERS may be worse. I think it is worth keeping an eye on it. -

Steve, bingo!!! To me, those words are damaged goods, but for others perhaps not. -

Way, you bring up a good point; TWI had plenty of money to feed you guys good, filling meals. I know some people complained about the food in the Navy, but I never went hungry. A Veggie Salad sounds great as a side dish. But why didn't they feed you; they had the money. Cheap!!! -

Bol, I think your memory is fine; I think I have read on other threads that Howard, and other people used to hunt at CG. Maybe Deer, and Elk. I think people might also have fished there, but I could be wrong. -

Way, you are right; TWI was cheap!! I have read on other threads where the meals were rather skimpy in Way World. All the the work people did for TWI, and they weren't fed properly. -

Bol, isn't CG where people would hunt Elk, and other game? I would think there would be an abundance of protein there. -

Twinky, I think there was very little common sense in Way World; personally in the military, raising the flag is a big deal. But in Way World, who knows why things were done in a certain way. -
Twinky, you really are funny!!

The Way's Latest Internet Tactics

Sky, true. But it makes me wonder what would happen if people were treated well. I went to a church for several years because I really enjoyed it; I felt a part of it. I was treated well, and treated others the same way. Unfortunately, I moved and had to leave the Church behind. To this day, I miss it. -

T-Bone, you are so right, but I wish you were wrong. So many kind, loving people contributed so much to the Corps, and then were kicked to the curb for a variety of reasons. Sad, really sad! -

Chock, you nailed it. But, if you mentioned to others that you had no desire to go Corps, you often got a lot of S--t for it. So many good people got so F-ed by the Corps training. -

Way, bingo! -
Now, how sad that they think VPW was a great guy. Forty years ago, we didn't have PCs, and the Internet; now days they do. These young people should find out the truth of VPW, and all the hurt, and pain he caused. I think they will waste years of their lives in a program that is doomed to fail. God help them.

Rhino, great post! I too would like to know how VPW avoided military service during WWII. I know by 1941, he was married, and had a child. But a lot of men who faught in WW11 were married, and had kids. I wonder if he was afraid of combat; a lot of men and women were, and are. But then he had the nerve to suggest the USA fought on the wrong side; if he wanted to fight for his "Fatherland", he could have. I think VPW lacked morals, character, and courage. Punk!

Way, I think you nailed it. We can speculate all we want, but only VPW knew the answer to that.
