Twinky, I find 12 Step Programs to be very beneficial to me personally. They are much more Godly than TWI was.

WG, I think the TWI guy was nuts!! How would he like it if someone beat the S--t out of him for not obeying! Also, I met other people who put the ministry above all else; even God! When TWI implored, they had a hard time dealing with it! Nuts!

Sky, VPW was seriously mental ill; and you aren't. I think you expected him to react in a sane, and rational manner. But he couldn't, because he probably didn't know how. What a jealous, insecure, pathetic POS, for a human being. I can't believe you could deal with it for that many years. I would have done him to F-off, and left. Of course, that would have been easy for me to do; I never had a spouse, or kids. When you have a family, you have to put up with a lot more garbage, I think. I am so happy that you, and yours got out, and stayed out.

Excie, VPW didn't know Jack about the military. I had Emergency Leave twice, in the Navy. The first time was in December of 1988, when I saw my father for the last time. The second time was in February of 1990, when I attended his funeral. Both times I came from Naples, Italy to Geneva, New York. Even the Navy understood that Sailors need to attend funerals at times.
