  1. I Twinky, I can not even think what my childhood would have been like without books. As bad as it was, I could escape through the magic of books. Even after I took the class in 1978, I continued to read whatever I wanted; when I wanted to. My mother didn't tell me what to read; no way was I going to let some man who didn't know me, tell me what to read. Besides, I thought the TWI books, were boring, and poorly-written. Books can be powerful; perhaps that was why VPW didn't want us to read non Way Material.
  2. John, I never heard that joke before, but I love it!! Thanks for posting it!!!
  3. Peruser, yes it is!! I can enjoy events, without having to feel guilty about not witnessing to anyone.
  4. Allan, bingo!!! Great post, and a great poem!
  5. Twinky, perhaps a DC library will have a copy of it.
  6. Twinky, I would have left this man in the dust!
  7. Sky, it makes me so angry that thousands of young people gave their time and talents, to these projects, only to have them sold at a loss. Sky, when I think of how these young people poured their hearts into donating their labor for next-to-nothing, because they thought the buildings were going to be used for Godly purposes, I want to barf. How could this happen?? If these young people had known the buildings would be sold so cheaply, would they have worked so hard on them??
  8. Twinky, not me! Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. TWI has the right to print messages on their Website; but I have the right not to read them. I grew up on a farm; I can smell cow sheet a mile away.
  9. Dab, what a post!! Clever, and true!!
  10. Twinky, as usual your post is interesting. I went to the link, and it said that RR is chairman. Wouldn't she be a chairwoman, or chairperson?? I am a woman, and I would be upset if someone called me a chairman of anything. Perhaps to some, it sounds petty as to wether someone is a chairman, or chairwoman, but to me, it would be important.
  11. Twinky, bingo!!! Yes, it's our actions that show others the love of God!! So many Religious people miss that point entirely.
  12. Sky, I think if I had know 40 years ago, the true nature of TWI, I never would have gotten involved with it.
  13. OS, I threw my TWI stuff out years ago, and it was a liberating experience.
  14. Raf, I didn't know you were a former JW.
  15. Oh, I thought you might have wanted to teach them some "hot Bible!"
  16. Way, you have a way with words!! Great post!
  17. Way, I didn't know this! Thanks for the information!
  18. Sky, I don't think he knew what he was doing so much of the time. I heard that Tick was not well-trained; I don't know if it was true or not. Hell, maybe even Tick didn't like VPW.
  19. Twinky, great post!! Truly great!! Thanks!!
  20. Way, I took the AC in the summer of 1985 in Rome City, In. What a waste of time, and money. I couldn't believe all that JBS S--t that was in it. I couldn't wait to leave, and get back to my real life.
  21. Thomas, thanks for the laugh!! I used to love that show decades ago!!
