Steve, a Free-Range Babtist is what??

Chock, I am not opposed to churches; if they help people. I am in a 12-Step Program, and I find it very helpful to my life. I have been in some churches that were horrible, and I have been in some that were wonderful.

NL, you are so right!! There is always hope of healing. Also, just to add to your post, I think there is always something to be grateful for.
-
Kit, yes!! Thanks for posting!!!
-
George, great post!! I don't feel I lost a lot of time in TWI either. I did what I wanted to do; I went to college, and then joined the Navy. I don't regret giving my ABS to TWI; God really has taken care of me.

NL, great post!! Thanks!!

JJ, I have a Mental Health Specialist who helps me.

OS, I think thousands of us might feel the same way.

Way, most of us though thought we were doing the will of God. I think most of us wanted to help others; I know I did. I had no idea that VPW had started TWI, to enrich himself, and seduce women. I think most of us had noble intentions that were warped by VPW, and his minions. -

OB, it's a good thing I don't drink coffee, or else it would have messed up my shirt!! You have an interesting way with words; I really like your poem!! -
Chock, I would probably give them the finger, if I went by HQ.

Separate from TWI.

Way, please honey be careful when you post something like that!!! Your post makes me think, and think. Any form of Graduate School is harder than he-l; I would think Medical School would be especially tough. Bill O though is a college drop-out; he has no idea of how hard post-college schools can be. -

Ham, mine also. I think Bill O is Trash. I am so happy that he got canned, and banned. -
Dabo, if you hear someone laughing, it will be me!! I love your clever post!

Chock, yes!!! Yes, h--l yes!! TWI definitely does not belong in anyone's marriage; they could screw it up.
-
Way, for sure!!!!! God forbid if you married outside of the Way!! You were treated like you were a criminal. In MHO, if you married, you were expected to promote TWI, and to h--l with anything else. I never understood that position, but then maybe that's why I never took the plunge.

Linda, I always look forward to your posts!! They are well-written, and make me think. I too admire couples who stayed together, in light of should we stay, or should we go. When I left TWI, I left quietly, and never looked back. It would have been much harder, if I had been married, and/or had kids.
-
NL, good for you honey!! I am 60, and feel that life is just beginning for me!!
-
NL, bingo! I too was upset for along time, because I never got married. Now though, I think I am much happier than most of my married friends. Marriage can be a wonderful institution, but being single can also be wonderful. For years, I was hurt that so few men from the Ministry, asked me out. Now though, I am very happy with my life. I think there was a lot of pressure put on people in TWI, to get married. A lot of these marriages ended in divorce for a variety of reasons. If I never get married, that's fine with me. I don't think marriage is for everyone.

Way, and people wonder why I never got married.
