  1. Socks, it's easy for CD to say that, because he is surrounded by money, and all the luxuries he wants.
  2. Abby, you nailed it! He wants people to send him money.
  3. So, VPW sprouted off on a lot of things he knew nothing about.
  4. This is open for anyone. Does anyone know what play Lincoln was watching when he was killed in 1865?
  5. Navy, 1985- 1990. It wasn't fun Chock, but I did learn a lot from my time in the Navy. Personally, I think VPW was too scared to join the military during WWII. He liked giving orders, but he didn't like taking them.
  6. Folks, here is another famous quote: "A plague o' both your houses!"
  7. Folks, here is my first quote. Which American General said: "War is hell!"
  8. Way, personally I can't see VPW allowing us to disagree with what we were taught. I think he would get very upset if someone challenged his views on anything. I find the various views very interesting; who knew I would learn more of the Bible at the GSC, than I did in all the classes I took in TWI??
  9. 779, wow!! Now I am starting to understand why so many people have so many different opinions about God. When I was in TWI, I had to accept what TWI taught about God. I always felt God was so much bigger than He was examined by TWI; and I am glad to know I was right. God probably wants us to have questions about Him; it makes us want to pursue Him to have the questions answered.
  10. 779, thanks for your wonderful post. I didn't know that; now I am beginning to understand. VPW didn't know Jack about God, although he pretended he did. No wonder why I have so many questions about God; He is so much bigger, and more compassionate than I knew!!
  11. Sir, great post! Finally, I am beginning to understand things that I didn't know.
  12. WW, now I understand that point! VPW didn't know Jack, about God. A lot of what I think I know about God is wrong, but I am willing to learn.
  13. WW, yes!!! A thousand yeses!! Finally, someone understands something that is very important to me personally. I have no problems following the posts, but IMO, "the stuff," that WW posted is more important than the other posts as to whether or not the Bible is full of errors. Thanks WW, and bless you!!!
  14. Tzaia, I love you name BTW. Yes, we were told to STFU, and sometimes allowed others to think for us. Great post BTW.
  15. Steve, I wish I had known all of this back in 1978, when I first took the class! No wonder why some of the verses didn't gel for me. Now, I understand why! Thanks for the information.
  16. Finally, something I have read! You guys are way over my head!!
  17. Twinky, nuts!! I was at a library today, and wanted to put that book on order, and forgot to do it. Nuts!! Well, the next time I go, I'll place it on order. It sounds like a really good book, but if I get Nightmares from it, I'm going to kick someone's.....
  18. Penworks, OMG!! I thought I was the only one who thought JH was a VPW clone!! Really, I saw JH a few times on his show, and thought he was similar to VPW. Quite frankly, I heard VPW teach live several times, and thought he was boring as Hell! I know others thought he was a great teacher, but I didn't. I think JH is a Dirt Bag, but others think he is great. Personally, as long as I don't have to watch his show, other people can watch him as often as they like. Like VPW, he always has his hands out for money.
  19. WW, I don't think VPW would have made it through Boot Camp. Boot Camp was hard!!! You are forced to do a lot of things, you really don't want to do. Other people call the shots; you do as you are told, when you are told to do it. It was a lot of work; VPW was lazy. He wouldn't never have made it through the first week of Boot Camp.
  20. Raf, excellent post!!!! Raf rocks!!!
