Ham, I think many of us have lost a job, or two. You pick yourself up, and you find another job. It may not be a great job, but it does pay the bills, and puts food on the table. Meanwhile, you keep looking for a better job.

Bol, I read the POOP paper thirty years ago. What a lot of POOP it was; boo-hoo! Chris G blamed everyone else for VPW's failures. He didn't give specific, concrete examples of where the BOD had gone wrong. Instead of helping various individuals, the POOP paper showed how incompetent Chris G was in managing his resources. IMHO. I thought the POOP paper was a lot of dreck.

Way, I was a WOW in Joliet, I'll., from 1978-1979. I know on the WOW field, it was every person for himself/herself. If you didn't have enough money to buy food, you starved. Never once did I ever I know TWI to help any WOW at anytime. And then we were supposed to move into a "WOW Vet Home??!!" No thanks, not in this lifetime.

Way, I never understood VPW/TWI's aversion to bake sales, and car washes. I used to attend a Methodist Church in Bethesda, and once a year, the kids would hold a Car Wash. I always got the car washed during it; they did a great job, and I got the car washed at a good price. I can't remember what they did with the money; perhaps sent kids to Summer Bible Camp??

Yes, and he made a lot of money doing it. His son Franklin makes a lot of $$$$ following in his father's footsteps. I personally don't think either one of them knew Jack about God, but that's me. If others want to give $$$$ listening to the Graham family, that's their business, not mine.

John, if you are happy with your fellowship, stay with it. Me, I have no interests in any Religious Organizations now days. I do attend a 12-Step Program, which allows me to choose the God of "my understanding." Shalom!

Ham, I think you are right; he died an angry, bitter man. He made his bed, and then he died in it. I often wonder how his wife, and kids put up with him; I don't think I could have dealt with him if he had been a member of my family. I had no sympathy for him, but I can't imagine the pain that he might have caused, his nearest, and dearest.

Sky, I enjoyed the Rock, but I didn't have to bust my back working at it. I think you are right, VPW should have publicly thanked everyone who helped out; but then the spotlight would not have been on him!!! God forbid!
