  1. T-Bone, I rarely go to the movies anymore, because I think most of them nowadays suck, but I do think the 1970's had some great movies. The Godfather(1&2), Chinatown, Blazing Saddles, are just some of the movies I saw decades ago, and still love today.
  2. Human, I haven't had a TV for years!! I think most of the current TV shows are Trash; if I did have a TV, I would watch the old shows, like Perry Mason, Star Trek, ect. I watch a lot of old movies on my IPhone; they are great, and I don't have to pay for them.
  3. T-Bone, I have no idea what TGL is, but my favorite movie of all time is "The Wizard of Oz." Decades ago, we used to watch it as a family. I have seen it over 40 times, and still love it.
  4. T-Bone, I loved MC!! Great movie!! I know this is an old movie, but I loved "All The President's Men." 1976 is when it came out I think. Robert Redford, and Dustin Hoffman are superb in it. It really made me think!
  5. Sky, seriously, I think if I had seen him do that, I think I might have freaked, and left the Corps altogether. Why on Earth, would someone want to touch a fake eye?? I would think it would very unsanitary for various people to touch it, and then have it put back into an eye socket. Gross!!
  6. Thomas, IMO, both of those groups were mediocre. I think WP had far more talented musicians, than the Victors, and HCC.
  7. Sky, I da-n near tossed my cookies when I read that link! OMG!! No, no, no!!!
  8. OS, I wonder what an attorney would say about providing for her medical care. I realize she has been dead for years, but I wonder about the older people in TWI. Who is going to provide for them, when they are too old to work? From what I have read here, at the GSC, TWI doesn't take very good care of their members in their golden years. I'm only 60, but I do have some resources; not many, but enough to live on.
  9. Sky, I didn't know VPW, or Mrs. W personally, but I did hear both of them teach live. IMO, Mrs. W was a far better teacher, than VPW. The few times I saw her at the ROA, she appeared to be well-groomed, and seemed like a sweet lady. I had far more regard for her, than I did for VPW; I thought she was a class act. Whereas, I thought VPW was boring, and dressed rather dowdy.
  10. Thomas, I cannot image having a father like VPW. I think if VPW had been my father, I think I might have ended up in prison.
  11. Sky, for some reason, 2005 sticks in my mind as to the year Mrs. W died. Perhaps, I am wrong.
  12. Sky, interesting. I think he used young people, because he didn't want to pay them.
  13. Sky, I have never heard of the Diamond Club. Thanks for the information.
  14. T-Bone, I think I would probably vomit. How sad that VPW really did this S--t! I think DWBH was right; the man really was a sick puppy.
  15. Outi, you are right! I had forgotten that!
  16. DWBH, wow!! I think you have described VPW perfectly. But, why on earth was this POS allowed to be a minister??!!
  17. T-Bone, perhaps he didn't intend to create a false world, but perhaps he did. I honestly don't know what was in his heart, or mind. Only God knows what his true intentions were.
