  1. The posts are so interesting!! Thanks for posting them!!
  2. Way, yes!! You are so right! TWI did want to build a following of people willing to give them them money every month from their paycheck. How could I have forgotten that??!! Thanks for your post.
  3. Way, I wonder how many of these kids stayed around after finishing the class; I bet a lot of them left before they became adults.
  4. Twinky, I also remember all the pressure put on us to run classes; I got so sick of it!! Finally, I sort of withdrew, and just lived my life. I didn't understand why we were under the gun to run classes; now I think it was because TWI was motivated so motivated by money. The more classes run, the more grads, thus more money for TWI. I always felt that TWI was more concerned about money, than moving The Word. No wonder so many people left right after taking the class; I wish I had.
  5. Rocky, if IRC, she fled California after the trial.
  6. Twinky, the book " Helter Skelter" is about Charles Manson, and it is a good read. However, it is not for people with a weak stomach; it was quite graphic about the 69 murders.
  7. DWBH, bingo!!!! Manson really was scrum; I wish he had gotten "the chair." I don't think capital punishment is right in all circumstances, but I think it would have been right in his case. God, I hope I can live to be 83, and then die in my sleep.
  8. Twinky, I know you posed it as a serious question, but I am not going to lose any sleep over Manson's death. He was 83, and a blight on society; I wish he had never been born. I can't remember the exact number of people, he and his followers killed in the Summer of 69. I think it may have been 8 or 9(?). And those people died horrible, grisly deaths. I can't think of anyone who will cry over his death; he was an evil man, who died of natural causes.
  9. DWBH- I heard the same thing!! LMAO!!
  10. T-Bone, and Twinky, I think both of you usually have interesting posts. However, I do think some of the people who post, keep posting far to long, and they seem to enjoy ticking off other posters. But, it is not for me to tell others, when to post, and when not to post. I know I have had a few "discussions" with other posters, and they let me know when I am off the beam in my posts. Some people like my posts, others don't. However, this is an open forum, and people are free, within reason, to post their views. Personally, I have learned to skip certain posters, and they probably have learned to skip mine. But in my opinion, the great strength of the GSC, is that people are free to posts their thoughts, within certain boundaries, about their experiences with TWI. Some of us hate TWI, some of us love it, and some of us have mixed feelings about it.
  11. T-Bone, good point!! Most of the posts are way over my head, but I think the give-and -take is fascinating.
  12. Twinky, I tried that once, and boy did I make a mess of my post!!
  13. T-Bone, will she be a former Booker??
  14. Thomas, the military isn't fun, and you have to do a lot of things you don't want to do. That's the nature of the military. I think VPW was afraid to join the military, because he knew that it would not be all Moonlight, and Roses. VPW liked his luxuries, and would never have been willing to make the necessary sacrifices, to be a good Sailor, Solider, or Airman.
  15. T-Bone, my mistake!! Overall, my life has been so much better, since leaving TWI. Why did I wait so long to leave??!!
  16. T-Bone, good question!! Did he, or did he not?? Regarding PFAL 77, I think Sky may be right; VPW could Bulls$$t all he wanted; I think VPW knew he couldn't teach a live class, because he didn't k now how. He couldn't hide behind a coffee cup filled with liquor, for once. I think he may have reached a point of no return; he knew that he didn't know Jack about the Bible. If he had taught a live class, he might have been exposed, for the fraud that he was. I think a lot of people may have left, and taken their ABS with them. We can speculate from now, until the world ends, as to why PFAL 77 wasn't taught live, but in MHO, it boils down to money. VPW was a Con-Man man, but he wasn't stupid. He did not want the flow of ABS to stop. Therefore, he had to keep pretending he was a MOG, and a great Bible teacher, to insure that the money keep flowing to him.
