  1. Rocky, it makes perfect sense!! Excellent post!!
  2. Rocky, a very good question. If I had to answer, I would say no.
  3. Taxi, great post!! I think that many people " hold VPW on a pedestal," because they have been taught to think that. To believe otherwise, might make them question themselves, and their moral values. I know when I started questioning what I was being taught in TWI, I realized that a lot of the teachings were garbage, and I realized I was wasting my time, and money on malarkey. After much painful soul searching, I realized I had to leave, and I did. Some people don't want to search their hearts, and minds, because of what they might find. For them, it is much easier, and perhaps safer, not to do so. If they did, they might realize that VPW was a POS, and they have wasted decades of their lives believing his lies.
  4. Twinky, not only do I" think, and ponder over what I hear," but I also can disagree with others. Back in Way World, VPW's opinions were the only ones that were important. Nowadays, I can come to the GSC, and politely disagree with others. Here at the GSC, people are allowed to air their opinions. Sometimes people like my opinions, and sometimes they don't, but I am allowed to voice what is important to ME! And others are allowed the same privilege. Wow, years ago, if people disagreed with VPW, all Hell broke loose.
  5. WG, how horrible that must of been for everyone. I think if this had happened to me, I would have left. Sounds to me, that the people in charge of you, were A--holes.
  6. Pen, I too had Cancer fourteen years ago. People get Cancer for various reasons; it had nothing to do with leaving TWI. I think you were very smart to leave TWI; what a bunch of losers. Please seek out medical advice, and then do as your doctors suggest. If you can, you might want to join a Cancer Support group. Nowdays, a diagnosis of Cancer, isn't necessarily a death sentence. Bless you, and I will keep you in my prayers.
  7. Taxi, I think they are false, but what the hay, it's your time, you are investing. Please remember one thing: you have been warned.
  8. Sky, personally I would not give them five minutes of my time. I wonder when they will turn on each other, and break-up.
  9. Chock, thanks for the clarification.
  10. Chock, guns and Beer seem like a terrible combination to me! No way, would I go any place, where people are drinking, and shooting guns!!!
  11. T-Bone, thanks for the link!! I didn't know Bibles were printed in China!!
  12. Taxi, I was long gone when Craig, "stepped down." But, I do think you were right, he was just a guy. But, when Craig left, he left under a cloud of accusations. In my view, he is living in a prision, of his own making. I have no sympathy for him. However, I feel for those people he used, and exploited. Far too many of them, will never recover what was taken from them.
  13. Taxi, excuse me! I meant to say in May of 1985. You are so right; it was sad that VPW's death meant so little to me. But, I wasn't going to cry fake tears, for a person, that I had never met. I throught his teachings, and classes were boring! Even his "live" teachings were boring to me. And his accent! It really got on my nerves! I throught Mrs. W was a far better teacher, and a much more intresting person. And she had a soft, sweet voice.
  14. Info, that was true years ago. But I think Chock is right; it was a stupid cult idea. Personally, I got sick of hearing it.
  15. Taxi, DWBH knew him personally, and has discussed what he was like as a person. Not a godly man at all; he actually was a sleazy, POS. I personally heard VPW teach live several times, and throught he was boring as S--t. I heard DWBH, teach live several times, and throught he was great! IMO, DWBH loved to teach, and really believed in what he taught. I think VPW knew he was a fraud, and knew he really didn't believe in what he taught. When VPW died in May of 1885, I remember thinking, "no great loss. I wonder what I am going to have for dinner?" VPW's death didn't upset me in the least. I liked Mrs. W far more than I liked VPW.
  16. Chock, many Mormons get tired of the Bull--it, and leave the Church. I think the ones who do this, are called "Jack Mormons." The Mormon Church, doesn't like to discuss how many people leave the Church, every year.
  17. WW, IMO, the GSC is a place where people try to tell the truth about their experiences with TWI. Some of us had great experiences in it, and many of us had horrendous experiences in it. I had some great times in TWI, and some terrible times in it. But, what I really value about the GSC, is that people don't try to romanticize their experiences in it; their experiences were theirs. I think the R&R group is trying to Bullsheet people, by talking about how loving, and sincere they are. Where was all their love, and sincerity, 40 years ago?? They knew a lot of what went on behind-the-scenes, and did nothing about it. Now, 40 years later, they want to "teach The Word?" What have they been doing for all these years?? They have had years to teach, and now they want to do what they should have been doing for decades?? Forgive me, but I don't like being lied too for years, and years. Nuts to them!
  18. Taxi, being a WOW was also exciting. I loved starving because I couldn't afford to buy food. Oh yeah, being a WOW was so exciting, I never did it again. Once was more than enough for me. At least the Navy fed me.
