  1. Sky, you are so right; expectations for the PFAL class did run high; perhaps that is why the class was such a huge disappointment to me. I expected to be able to read, and understand the Bible on my own, and it never happened. One day I realized that the Bible was a very complex book, and I would probably never understand it. That's the day, I finally understood that much of what we were taught in the class, was Dung.
  2. Rocky, good point. However, VPW grew up in a very rural area of the country; having grown up in one myself, I wonder if there is any way to prove, or disprove allegations about what happened to VPW as a child. Many things happened in families that outsiders never knew about. What happened in the home, stayed in the home. I don't think we will ever really know what forces drove VPW to be the man he became. I for one, believe that VPW came from dysfunctional family; to me, it "fits like a hand in a glove." However, I do think that your point is good; it would be wonderful if we had concrete information about VPW's family.
  3. DWBH, his mother?? Dear God. The more I learn about VPW'S childhood, the more I want to vomit!!!
  4. WW, I don't know Jack about light, but I can offer a simple explanation about the Bible. In my opinion, people usually believe what they want about the Bible; it may or may not be right.
  5. Sky, I took the classes you mentioned, and I thought they were a waste of time, and money. They were boring!!
  6. Sky, smart guy! He didn't waste his life in a Godless cult.
  7. Sky, I think you ate a living saint! I could not have put up with all the Bullshzt TWI gave you, and your family. Thank you for your posts!
  8. Taxi, I think if JAL had done "some actual research," he would know that most of VPW's teachings about the Bible were off! If VPW was wrong, than JAL would be wrong, because he followed after VPW. I don't think JAL would ever publicly admit that most of what he has been teaching, is wrong. John has a huge ego, and he isn't a humble person; God forbid that he admit to being an ordinary person like you, and I.
  9. Rocky, bingo! I think Sky's post was excellent, but that's only my 2 cents.
  10. T-Bone, clown?? I think he is a Horse's Azz. I think a lot of non-Christians are going to heaven; JC may or may not be the way there.
  11. T-Bone, I think much of what VPW "taught," was Dung.
  12. WW, bingo!! Someday all of us will be judged for our earthly actions. However, I think God's punishments might be worse for VPW, because of the severity of his crimes.
  13. Sky, you are so right!! I wish I had known all of this forty years ago; I might have saved myself ten years of listening to Hog Wash, and thousands of dollars. But, what is done, is done. However, I know from my own experiences, that TWI is, and was, a dangerous cult. God got me, but He got me out, on His time.
  14. Mike, I know this question isn't directed to me, but I am still going to butt in. There are only three things I "need" to do: I need to pay, my Income Taxes. I need to die. I will let you find-out for yourself, what the third one is.
  15. Thomas, I think you are right; VPW was arrogant as Hell.
  16. Rad, yes it is an intresting question. I think I will die, and be with God. I know a lot of people will wonder how I know this. I don't know this for certain, but the sun has come up every day for thousands of years, and I am certain it will come up tomorrow. I have tried to be a good person my entire life; I don't think God is going to forget about me after I die.
  17. T-Bone, yes he did. Personally, I wonder where he will end-up when Christ comes back.
  18. Twinky, I wonder what LCM will say about it, once he finds out about it.
