No need to thank me for something I wasn't attempting to do. You believe what you like. I've watched a lot of videos in my time and I don't find God ALWAYS getting the glory as you stated.
-
Jesus is the healer. Anytime anyone's healed *he* gives the gift and should get the glory. Not a man. Not a ministry.
-
No idea. All I know is what I observed in the video you suggested.

Sorry jim jack. That video UN-inspired me. Please, no offense. Just not my cup of coffee. At the end of the video he relates that someone asked him to pray for them because they were having surgery. He said "Why would I pray for you, you've already made up your mind"? THAT is NOT my kind of Christianity. No grace. No compassion. No Jesus.

Seems to me the "experience is no guarantee for truth" was one sided for vp. My experiences or your experiences were no guarantee for truth, but "his" were. The alcoholic that came to his church, the man with the paralyzed arm in India, the woman whose child was hit by a car at the bus stop, the red drapes lady, etc. All his experiences we were expected to believe as truth.

I'm not either. Someone asked. I andwered.

He wasn't married to Paula White.

In light of Twinky's comment skyrider, I seriously doubt a response from anyone at twi is forthcoming. And why would they? We don't exist. Personna non gratta.
-
Not a "follower" of Todd White, but I watch him occasionally on YouTube. Saw him in person once. Former drug addict, kicked out of the Marine Corps, got saved learning from a guy in Pennsylvania named Dan Mohler. By their fruit you'll know them. He loves the Lord and loves people and that's prerequisite to anything I believe. He reaches folks in a sphere of influence no one else can and I or you reach folks he can't. It's a big body of Christ.
-
I imagine skyrider it's a great relief to you to talk about your experiences so freely. Thanks again for telling your story.
-
I'm sorry. This makes me terribly sad. Your family's pain must have been almost unbearable.

Bump No Allan, that's the definition of an a$$h0le.

I'm 70 years old and was in twi from 80-87. As far as I'm concerned, what you're doing here is nothing short of heroic. Thank you for revisiting this time in your life for our benefit.

The years skyrider is writing about have been eyeopening for me. We got in in '80 and left in '87. Had no idea of the depth of depravity twi had sunk to. Knew it was bad, (which is why I got out) but didn't know how far reaching the manipulation and control had become. Thank you for taking your time to help me personally.

Good Old Doc. Taught It Wrong!
JayDee replied to teachmevp's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
Right waysider, "to you/for you" throws the words of Jesus Christ out the window. I'm not willing to do that anymore. I'm a Christian not a Paulian or a Peterian! Love what Paul and Peter and others wrote, but nobody said anything more important to me than what Jesus said. -
Skyrider, that sounds like an excellent idea for a new topic!

Brilliant...

And sadly, it still goes on.

I for one am really glad we don't do politics here. I too wish the President Elect well. That is all I'll say too.
-
If it's been helpful to you jim jack, who am I to criticize? I've laid hands on people and seen them healed. It's not by my power, that's for sure.
-
I always thought these guys were way ahead of their time. Great band and vocals. "Timeless".
-
Sorry for the loss of your friends.
-
Yup. Right into a ditch filled with collaterals.

Happy Birthday Pawtucket!
