  1. Yeah Simeon, how about them Daimonbacks, eh? They ARE ahead in the wild spirit race now in the NL. I also got the impression niKa knew more about Randy G than she was telling us... but HOW on this earth can you even suggest that Excie has her head anywhere but where it should be, in the Grateness of the Verd! And Simeon, remember this -- MAS Cerveza...except right before the drive down to Tucson in 10 days.
  2. Ah niKa, it does indeed. It's STUFF. Some stuff grows back (Yippie), and that part is actually quite awesome. But it sure helps us with images of what doesn't grow back, the folks, that is. I'm reminded of what's happening in Washington, where once rumbled the mighty and explosive power, with dramatic ash and all, Mt. St. Helens. Anyway, GO DIAMONDBACKS! They were down 5-0 tonight and are now, in the 7th inning, ahead 13-6. One young man has hit 3 home runs and 7 rbi's. See y'all in October baseball! (sorry about the excitement, baseball fans).
  3. "It's a dry heat" -- is that code for "I'm not sure what it feels like, but someone said it shouldn't be that bad?" If so, consider this -- the fire on Mt Lemmon, still going after all these weeks (nearly 3, btw) -- and niKa, I know you know Mt. Lemmon, and Tucson -- the fire is, as they say in "Hotshots" jargon, "laying down." Attempts to have preventative "controlled" burns in low lying grass areas, where catastrophic pine crown fires can be prevented, are NOT burning -- because the humidity is rising. And my evaporative cooler was not putting out very cold air last night at bed time. So, as for me and my heat, well, it's not staying dry and might need depends. So, YES -- Mas Cerveza
  4. Ah, Professor, that was wonderful and enlightening, sorry for my mistake in not clarifying which of Rev Tuttle's words I meant. It was Mr. T's prophesy immediately before that one that was such a puzzlement to me. Perhaps I simply don't have ears to hear or eyes to see the fullness of that hot pnuema. But thank you niKa for sharing about your family history, it is noble and wonderful. Thank you very much. [This message was edited by Rocky on July 06, 2003 at 19:57.]
  5. Rev. T, didn't someone forget to bring forth the interpretation of your tongues?
  6. I met (but had not "come to know") Eduardo DiNoto, and I met Carlos Araoz, but I really like a mexican food ristorante called Chicos Tacos, and my favorite menu item is Arroz con Pollo, but withhold the sour cream.
  7. tnk you exxie, glad it brought a smile to ya....,,,,
  8. comma comma comma comma comm comm. hey hey hey.
  9. mary cate, tell ashley we said hello.
  10. Thank God, the word of Tuttle reveals that God is a liberal! Amen and Amen. And happy Red, White and Blue blooded Fourth of JewLie to y'all! Lo shanta, malaca SEETA, koshanti.
  11. Oh Tom, you vant HOT? Ask Simon the Zealot about HOT. Why he works out in it, and on surfaces that I can only imagine must feel like he's already been tried in the furnace of hell! But me? Ha, I work in an air conditioned building and complain about the heat whenever I leave for the day.
  12. "Show some leg..." Is that a euphamism? :D-->
  13. Oh, Exxie, thou reproveth thyself ok now... eh? And yes, TS, nice to see you too. On L.E.A.D....seaux laux...sow board... sleep, sleep, hunger, sleep...zzzz [This message was edited by Rocky on June 30, 2003 at 23:53.]
  14. In a sense of the word...
  15. Tommy U.R. So. Strange, I finally figured out what you meant by PT. So, I checked my private topics... Now I feel important too. Thnks. Ft.Worth for a brief time in 1976-77, after end of military service... then moved on to OK (Lawton/Ft. Sill), Phx, and Los Angeles before Euphoria. Now in Phx area, as is SimonZ. I have other clues if you'll need them. [This message was edited by Rocky on June 29, 2003 at 1:24.]
  16. http://donotcall.gov early reports had it receiving 1K hits/sec. I got through about an hour ago. YeaH!!!
  17. Tom, How bad is it behind the curtain? And SimonVanna, you may not have a U. And who is this too gray character? And btw, TS, do you know who any of us are?
  18. Oh, Ex, Dr. Strangelove isn't really that tall, and when I knew him in Ft. Worth and Emphoria, his hair was much lighter than jet black. Right, DW? And of course, we all love to hate the borscht in our past. And lest Loy Tuttle check the time on my post, it's just after 9pm here in the land of firey pines.
  19. And Davie, it's about time you joined the fellowship of the brats!
  20. So, Meester Wheelson, how is TAXess? And have you been in contact with the Warbler (now in Colorado, me thinks) in the last 20 or so years?
  21. Welcome Tommy Strangernomore. What about Frank (the Man) Manesseri? whosoever has joined us seems familiar with the ways of the cyberunderworldcorpse.... and Exxie, who gonna lead the kareoki, or the solemn hymns (or hers)?
  22. --> Better get that kitty some prozac! Paranoia is a double edged sword...
  23. niKa, I might read it when it gets to the library. I see no need to fund her $8M fee.
  24. Oh, niKa, really. How DO you feel about it? (just kidding). Actually, comparatively speaking, the hit and run was probably mostly carelessness (just guessing, not trying to justify or minimize). I'm mainly glad I don't have to listen to His Arrogance (double entendre, intended) on the news anymore. They say the new sheriff in town, er, bishop, has a no tolerance policy for the sexual misconduct and cleaned things up (NOT the way Tom O'Brien did) in Santa Fe, firing about 20 priests and NOT placing them in work elsewhere. Of course, there is still the question of whether those bozos should have been prosecuted...
  25. Yes, I will bring my camera, and since Karm is hostess, it would be most ungracious of me to not honor that request.
