  1. IceCube? How do you get a Pork Chop?
  2. well, I would only be able to guess, but from the context of things passed on from generation to generation... Nicole's dad being a singer/musician, Hilton's just money... not sure what else she may have inherited.
  3. TGN, The Strange One is referring to the recently infamous duo of Paris Hilton (of the Hilton Hotel founder's family...megamega bucks) and Nicole Ritchie (daughter of Lionel Ritchie). Tom, Nothing's wrong with your hair... if you put it in a pony tail when you are working on your aerobics points...
  4. Val... wasn't one of those for Anthrax? I understand that one's really bad...
  5. Well Tommy boy... this might indeed be a case of "if ya snooze..."
  6. And I know a good barber I can recommend for you Tom.
  7. Got involved in 1974. Went in the 9th corpse, stayed in it until the interim year. Left the field, didn't go to fellowships for about 9 months. Got back in, went wow 81-82. Went to college (a community college, then Arizona State). When PoP came out after Vic died in 85, it was all secretive in our area for a short while. I think that was spring 86. I graduated from ASU in May 86, had to move in August and never went to a twi fellowship after that. Lots of folks in the Phoenix area left then. Tom Reahard lived in Scottsdale and was one of the leaders of the group the led the big exodus at that time (Ralph D, JAL, Robert Belt, etc.). Went, for a while to makeshift fellowships but that eventually piddled out. A couple of times when JAL came to town, I went to see him, but mostly out of curiosity. Haven't been to any such fellowship in over a decade. I figure I heard my heart telling me from the early 1980s that it wasn't what I had originally thought... but I was ready when the exodus came in 86.
  8. You gots it, seestor niKa... you know all yur bros and sis's in the 9th love ya and pray with ya...
  9. Joy in Norman and gnashing of teeth everywhere else... especially in Pac10 communities... This will likely be the doom of the BCS. But I'm glad there's joy in Norman.
  10. Plus, I can't imagine my neutered male cat would be so mellow if he had not been "fixed" before he came home with me from the pound. I have no interest in a cat urinating in the house to mark territory (except in the litter box) nor am I interested in having the cat going nuts to get out of the house and propagate.
  11. So sorry for your pain there in Norman, niKa. I gave the pop quiz with the assignment to watch the game -- before it got out of hand. Perhaps it's a good time for an essay on character building travails... This too will pass...
  12. But for everyone watching niKa's "kids", who are playing football on ABC-TV right now automatic A!
  13. Pop Quiz... (but only 1 percent of your grade!) :D-->
  14. some #$&^%***#$&%? that's what! So, Simon, where are YOUR pictures?
  15. Why do you ask? Is that how you dressed up for halloween?
  16. Hey niKa, Keep everyone healthy (including yurself)! I've heard very good things about Stoops... including already setting the tone with some of the Wildcats players. I wish him and them well in every game except one (Thanksgiving weekend)every year. One kid showed up for a team meeting about 3 minutes late and was told to go run stadium stairs... :)--> And your 15 yo going on a date... that IS scary, in concept, I can only imagine at this point. (mine is now 14)
  17. Jim, Vitamin C DOES good. But is not a cure all, as you probably already know. Saw Palmetto does meet with approval from at least the health professionals I've talked with about it. However, it helps only with BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia, or enlarged prostate). However, it can mask other prostate problems. Since you have noticed the issue with getting up at night, and if you are at least 40, you should talk with a doctor about it. A simple blood test can detect prostate cancer. It is extremely common in men over 50. I've been taking saw palmetto for a few years and it does help, but doesn't preclude all possible problems.
  18. King Tut, You must be a righteous man! Your prayers apparently were effectual.
  19. I just saw the pic on page 8 (and the names on page 9). What a great looking crew. Is it my eyes or does Paw look like Jay Leno? (not quite as pronounced jaw...)
  20. Great portfolio... thanks for sharing. :)-->
  21. Simon, You're possessed. -->
  22. Campbell apologizes after DUI arrest Maricopa County Sheriff's Office Glen Campbell's booking photo. View more photos. Beth DeFalco Associated Press Nov. 25, 2003 04:04 PM Country singer Glen Campbell apologized Tuesday after his arrest on suspicion of drunken driving, hit-and-run and assaulting a police officer. "Yesterday I was arrested and put in jail. Even at my age, I learned a valuable lesson," Campbell said in a statement read to the Associated Press by his spokesman Sandy Brokaw. "I apologize to my wife, my family, my friends and my fans." Brokaw would not answer any questions about Campbell or the incident. The 67-year-old entertainer, whose hits included "Rhinestone Cowboy," was arrested Monday at his home after a collision at a Phoenix intersection in which nobody was hurt, police Sgt. Randy Force said. A witness had followed the car, called police on a cell phone and directed them to a home in the upscale Biltmore area, Force said. At a police precinct, police said Campbell kneed an officer while demanding to see the police chief. The Delight, Ark., native was freed early Tuesday on $2,000 bail on charges of extreme drunken driving and hit and run. He did not have to post bond for the arrest on suspicion of assaulting a police officer. Breath tests on Campbell showed he had a blood-alcohol level of 0.20, according to court documents. Extreme drunken driving applies when results are above 0.15 percent. Police said Campbell was minutes away from being released to waiting friends and family when became angry and kneed Sgt. Bill Niles in the thigh. Niles was not hurt. But Campbell's actions prompted police to arrest him again on suspicion of assault. He was taken to jail and appeared in Superior Court just before midnight. "There was a lot of, 'Do you know who I am. I'm Glen Campbell ... I shouldn't be locked up like this.' He asked to speak to the chief of police," Niles said. Court Commissioner Steve Kupiszewski placed him on supervised release, requiring him to check in periodically with court monitors, who could test him for alcohol and drugs. "There's a first time for everything," Campbell told his lawyer, Larry Debus during Monday's hearing. Campbell has acknowledged years of heavy drinking and drug use and discussed his decision to quit in an interview with the AP in August. "Talk about a tool of the devil. That's one of them - drugs," Campbell said. Campbell, who has lived in Arizona for 22 years and has no prior convictions, was hugely successful in the 1960s and early '70s with a string of hits on the pop and country charts, including "Galveston," "Gentle on My Mind," "Wichita Lineman" and the Grammy-winning "By the Time I Get to Phoenix." Force said that while in jail, Campbell could be heard singing "Rhinestone Cowboy."
