  1. though I was gung ho for twi, i would not have considered physically hurting someone for the cause, except in self-defense.
  2. Well, we could ROCK around the clock!
  3. Well... sounds good. Hopefully summer 2004 won't be as bad as last year. And hopefully, there will be more rain this spring... then it sounds really good.
  4. ouch! feel better. (lo shanta)
  5. we've actually had rain the last several days here. not hard, steady rain, but enough to find driveway puddles nevertheless. it's not as much of an oxymoron as some people we meet at GS... (present company excluded, of course) :D-->
  6. yes, that was the Peoria Sports Complex, and it was a horrible hot summer in '03.
  7. and yes, Simon was telling me about Moreno, before we knew he was going to dinner with bushy. btw, I've taken the pics of Simon, in case anyone cares... bug him now... he might get some posted tomorrow.
  8. Koufax was one of my heroes growing up... Randy Johnson is sometimes compared to him. Johnson has already outlasted Koufax, but has only made it to one World Series. Koufax-Drysdale was very exciting. One reason why it's a shame the Dbacks had to part with Schilling was that he and Johnson were such an awesome tandem.
  9. President Bush has dinner with Jerry Colangelo (Bob Brenly, Arizona Diamondback manager, and Artie Moreno owner of the Anahiem Angels, were also at the table) at the Tee Pee Mexican restaurant Wednesday in Phoenix.
  10. Ok, how does one politicize baseball? There are probably several roads that can be taken, but I just saw on the local five o'clock news that Diamondbacks owner Jerry Colagelo had to forego having dinner with his wife, last night, on their 43rd wedding anniversary, to accept an invitation to share a BEER and mexican food at a restaurant (near where SimonZ lives) with the President. On footage carried on last night's 10pm news, Dbacks' field manager Bob Brenley was also at that dinner. JC said Bush just wanted to have a beer, eat mexican food, and talk baseball.
  11. Also, put it in perspective. McMullin basically got his hand slapped. This is NOT a felony. It is an inconvenience. Sure, it's unjust. Sure, a different judge might have ruled differently. But it still wasn't as harsh, I'd bet, as twi would have liked.
  12. don't forget Dusty Baker and Jim LeFebver (I know the spelling on Jim L's name is probably wrong). In the 1960s, I first remember baseball in 1961, and loved Maris and Mantle. Because prior to high school I lived in Rochester NY, I developed an affinity for the Baltimore Orioles, because I had seen many of them play in Rochester, and Earl Weaver managed the Red Wings to an International League championship before taking the helm of the O's. But NOW, the DIAMONDBACKS are THE home team.
  13. Simon, check yer email...
  14. For Arizona Corp Commission filings, it refers to the official members, which would be the crustees, most likely.
  15. did ya call Wacky Funster? She lives near Bahston (Boston).
  16. hahaha... Tom... have you shoveled the manure off of you from that SotU address yet? :D-->
  17. Well, first... that's not a P & L. It's a non-profit balance sheet. IF we knew the composition of the investments, we could reasonably test the assumptions. Do we know what has happened with Lucent over the last year or so? It didn't necessarily match the overall performance of the stock market.... but I don't know. Also, we don't know what they did as far as changes in operating expenses.
  18. Well, as much as I'd like to say that's good news, the economy has been down the tubes (do you really think most twi slaves make their money in the stock market?) and $6,000 (approximate difference between the two years) is not a material change when compared to $49 million. My point is that this report does not tell us that they have taken a nose dive in followers.
  19. it's on the schedule... soon.
  20. Some former spouses need more than a black dot! ;)-->
  21. niKa, they'l be tasteful tattoos... ;)-->
  22. {{{{{{{{Mandii}}}}}}}} Boy don't you know it. And I hope it's not too cold there in NY. I hope healing warmth is flowing your way in many ways.
