Claud*tte R. how did she feel about what was going on?
Rocky replied to fooledagainII's topic in About The Way
That's also my understanding... and besides the fact that we shouldn't care what she thinks about stuff... I wonder why people think we should speculate as to what she thinks... and I realize that's not what all of the posters here think. -
Indeed, TREATMENT can be provided to anyone with known depression. When I first read the expression "depression can be corrected with medication" I cringed. Depression CAN be treated with medication. It can also be TREATED with counseling and with making some changes to personal situations. BUT, TREATMENT can be successful, but cannot guarantee success. Therefore, I believe the expression about "being corrected" is dangerously misleading. And I agree with waysider's post above.

Send your name to the moon Plans are under way by NASA centers and educators to spread the word about the upcoming Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter and the Lunar CRater Observation and Sensing Satellite mission to the moon. The two satellites will launch together aboard an Atlas V rocket with liftoff scheduled no earlier than Nov. 23, 2008. LRO/LCROSS is the first launch for NASA's new Explorations Systems. The LRO/LCROSS mission hopes to discover what the moon has to offer for the future moon dwellers. ---------- NASA invites people of all ages to join the lunar exploration journey with an opportunity to send their names to the moon aboard the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, or LRO, spacecraft. The Send Your Name to the Moon Web site enables everyone to participate in the lunar adventure and place their names in orbit around the moon for years to come.

You're welcome to do so if you like. I understand the economics. Overall, I don't see such a boycott happening. As I indicated, nothing happens without something galvanizing our society. And OBVIOUSLY, the company that generally sells for the lowest price would not get targeted. And frankly, Doctor, ANY of the companies would EASILY counter such a hypothetical boycott by temporarily doing so... but then again, you probably already knew that.
-
In other words, a boycott. It's possible, and probably more feasible than a boycott on the entire industry (since we DEPEND on their product), but still would take a great deal of coordinated effort to succeed. To do so would require large sectors of the population to become galvanized (worked up and ready to move in a coordinated effort) and would require a worthy target. Not simply a company with high(est) profits, but a company that can be blamed for something very bad... which would take a great deal of effort.

What's your MPG... and what kind (how many CCs) of cycle?

Or perhaps just stop reading those other message boards?

We'll have to see what's going to happen now that Saudi Arabia is going to increase production by 200,000 barrels/day.

Don Wierwille's doctor's degree in education, I think, was of his choosing. It was only later that he came to be a part of his father's ministry.

That's a wonderful thing, especially for Kelly. :)

I have two bicycles. One, which I enjoy riding, is a recumbent. But it's HOT here these days... (nearly 9pm and it's still 100+ degrees outside) AND I can't take the 'bent with me on the bus around town. That's because the wheelbase is too long. The busses have bike racks on the front of them, but do not accommodate 'bents. I also have a very cheap and ill-fitting 15 speed traditional bike. It's cumbersome for me to ride, but I can easily get to the bus stop (about a mile from my house) and get to where I need to go most days. But it takes a long time. However, I HAVE cut my auto fuel usage in roughly half so far this month. I filled up on payday (once/month) and have only used 1/4 tank. I used to use about a half tank in the same time... and I wasn't even going very far then. Long story short (or cutting to the chase), that's why I want to get a motorcycle and start getting upwards of 80-100 miles/gallon.

Top speed 12mph. Fun to ride (and I have ridden one), but not practical for getting from place to place. They can be useful for getting around a small campus type of facility, however. The security folks at the local VA medical center have at least one. But they also have bicycles. Frankly, after seeing them introduced back in 2002 or 2003, we haven't seen them proliferate at nearly the rate necessary for them to catch on a something reasonable to spend the $5k+ on...

Indeed, we ALL grieve... we all NEED to grieve. Your family needs a rock right now. You represent that Rock. They can see you. They can hear you. They can touch (hug) you. Indeed, I admire your composure. I have NO doubt that you also feel the emotional pain. But I'm thankful that you will be there to speak the soft assurances, to guide and focus. And I'm glad you know to ask for support when you need it too.

"All you..." geez, how many are there? I know of two of them here, how many more?

$4.149/gallon at the station closest to my home. I also have been taking the bus a great deal and therefore cutting down drastically on the amount of gas I use. I'm looking at ads for motorcycles and scooters... perhaps in the fall, I'll buy one of those two wheel contraptions to expand my transportation/time flexibility while minimizing my consumption of petroleum distillates.

Clearly, umps have been missing calls regarding home runs this season. This should help. In terms of anything else, I'd have to agree with the "purists" for the most part... BUT... This will evolve, depending on the experience with the system... AND let's not forget the problems now facing the NBA regarding the integrity of the referrees. I suspect that IR will eventually be used in every way or for every type of call for which it becomes feasible.
