I wouldn't worry about the title of the thread. It's a song title. Nothing more. Fictional literature (including songs) is about communicating concepts in ways people can relate to. I reject twi making everything about an (the) adversary. And as far as I remember, you aren't the first or only person to cite specific concerns about the Lallys.

My thoughts almost exactly. Of course, hindsight is 20/20... my guess is that after decompressing from that final confrontation (and allowing twi to "repossess" your furniture on their schedule) you might have thought a time or two (or a few more) about telling them to f**k off, that they could have their stuff when you got ready to let them come and get it. Just a a thought.

Sounds like maybe you don't necessarily really disagree. It's obviously not an either/or. The home church model is about promoting emotional intimacy, isn't it? As with most other aspects of twi, there wasn't much genuine training or leadership on how to keep things above board, establish appropriate emotional/social boundaries or keep people from preying on vulnerable members.
