  1. Face it, T-, he's just messing with us, with you.
  2. That's a droll mind game. Take what I say to you at face value. Rather than projecting onto me either what you're doing or what you want me to think. When I ask for clarification, that's exactly and only what I'm doing. Asking you to clarify what you mean by it. There is nothing tangible in my comment on which or by which you can reasonably suppose my question has anything to do with me. But then again, there's no question you are playing the same mind f**k games you've done in prior years. So, again, what do you mean? When you say you "act him out."
  3. So Mike, how do you "act him out" when you're witnessing (exercising your ambassadorship)? Do you hmmm and ummm like you do with us? Do you obfuscate like you do with us? Or do you boldly proclaim what God and Jesus Christ (and Wierwille and his PFLAP class) mean to you? Do you tell them how you apply the principles and what happens as a result? Or do you shrink into meaningless words like you do with us? Mike said, in JohnJ's thread,
  4. #Bullspit, Mike. As internet vernacular has progressed in the three years since you last "graced" us with your insight, "pictures or it didn't happen." I doubt anyone here would care whether you have pictures or not. But if you have no claims to make, you have no claims to make. In your case, it just didn't happen. If you're so excited about getting results by applying PFLAP in your life, you wouldn't care if people didn't believe you (or, as you put it, rejected your claims). Only posers would care whether anyone believes them or not. Are you a poser? Are you a faker? Or are you "excited about your ambassadorship?"
  5. It was three years ago last month. In this thread.
  6. Congrats on getting vaccinated. That's a wonderful thing for you (and everyone else) to do. I got both in February. I'm thankful. I don't know why you think it's odd. The last thing I remember you posting was that you had to do your taxes therefore didn't have any time to continue posting. Of course, you didn't say you'd be back when you finished your taxes (as I recall).
  7. You made a claim. I simply would like you to substantiate that claim.
  8. By all means, give us specific examples of what you applied (from PFAL, right?) and specific examples of the results you claim to have gotten?
  9. Really? There aren't very many responses to John J's original post on this thread. Here's the main highlight: watch the video then give us you specific impressions.
  10. Hi Mike, Exactly what part of that is "news?" Before you answer, please know that providing verifiable specifics would be necessary in order for any of what you declared to reasonably be construed as news. Nice to see you. I remember that you left a few (bunch) years ago at tax time. Did you get vaccinated? Rocky
  11. Good for you. Humans are ALL about stories and have been for millenia.
  12. Thanks for getting somewhat more specific. Since you were a kid, it was your parents' decision. Is that correct? Quantifying the "time you lost" might just be heading down a counter-productive rabbit hole. You only have now (in which to make decisions). That time you spent in TWI day care and day camp just becomes data in the database of your memories to fuel decisions you will get to make on your own now. What do you do with your time now?
  13. There's not enough information in your post to answer your question. Please be more specific. Thanks. Who? What? When? Where? How? Why? Those would be some good places to start.
  14. Btw, T-Bone, I very much enjoy that you and I can bounce ideas off of each other and come up with a bigger understanding.
  15. IMO, that male/female dichotomy is changing. Men "socialized to be more independent" are, too often, becoming the examples of toxic masculinity. But I love the imagery of people willing to take risks about their view of God and religion graduating. For a number of years, I've considered that Wierwille's view of God and the bible was far too narrow. He talked about his God being big, but he acted as if God wasn't really so big. Chipping away at him until he fits in a particular box. That box, of course, was the size of his ego. That's one big give away on why The Way International was at the beginning and always has been a cult. A high-demand subculture unto itself. That just doesn't fit with how I understand the bible or God these days.
  16. I realize this is anecdotal and not based on aggregated data, but I wonder for how many of you this might ring true. From a 2/25/2021 Twitter post from a young minister, @Caitlin J. Stout A friend asked the other day what percentage of people I went to youth group with “deconstructed” and what percentage remained evangelical. As I thought about it, I realized that for the most part it was the kids who took their faith the most seriously who eventually walked away.
  17. What a wonderful article. Thanks T-Bone.
  18. 3 Not only so, but we[c] also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. In Romans 5:3-4, as I understand it now, Paul articulates that process of developing our authentic self.
  19. The museum idea came to me because of events last year around the country regarding removal of confederate monuments, which became a controversial issue. During a zoom meetup with historians facilitated by the Arizona Historical Society, some of them opposed removal. Others recommended the artifacts be preserved in museums dedicated to putting them in historical context so people now and in the future would better understand the changing times in our country. I'm all for preserving them, despite twi's practice of burning books and other objects they consider dangerous. Putting twi (and other cult) symbols and artifacts in perspective for young people now and for future generations appeals to me. Perhaps Penworks has thought of this before, considering her involvement with the International Cultic Studies Association.
