  1. since it really is my turn now, I'll repeat the line I said prematurely before. ah, fair maiden sorry, neither
  2. geez-I just realized it's probably NOT the Scotty episode-but every thing else is right Next Generation episodes tend to blur-- a friend used to refer to them as 'Dinner with Picard' when they were good they were great-but they could be real snooze fests too
  3. I'm sure it was the Scotty returns episode, now that I think of it. Scotty then takes the stuff to a holodeck recreation of the old Enterprise bridge and gets drunk.
  4. well that was used in "By any other Name" when Scotty was getting the alien drunk. Actually Scotty said "It's green"--so... You are referring to Data reprising the 'joke' in 10 forward, speaking without the contraction . I forget who he's getting it for-it may even be Scotty- but he's asked if they have anything to drink besides synthehol. That close enough ?
  5. That playoff question makes my head hurt. I was never hoping for an LA series , Tom, though it would be fun. The Angels are living on a prayer right now anyway. They DO need a consistant big time hitter to back up Guerrero though. Garret Anderson is not consistant or healthy enough anymore. I already said that I always root for the Yanks ( because I've rooted for the Yanks since I was 5), but I'd really like to see the Tigers this year. The AL central has become an awesome division. The Dodgers pulled it together this year, and noone knows how. Bringing up Russell Martin as catcher was not in their plans, and getting Andre Ethier for Milton Bradley didn't seem like anything except being glad to be rid of Bradley. It's still the worst division in baseball, though the NL central is fighting for that claim.
  6. looks like Charles Laughton and "Mutiny on the Bounty" in those little boxes
  7. so is everyone weary of the season ? It's been pretty exciting in my neighborhood. The Dodgers are up by a game. One week they look like the '76 Reds, and the next they're the '62 Mets. In the National League Worst, anything can happen. The AL central has become the best division in baseball. Tho I'm seemingly forever fated to root for the Yanks, I would love to see the Tigers in the Series. The latest argument in Anaheim stems from a reporter hoping the Angels lose this year, which will 'force' Stoneman to get more hitting. This is based on his failure to ever make mid season moves. Now some Angel fans are thinking this is a good idea-rooting for your team to lose.
  8. It's dead, Jim no wait-that's the new Trek game the nostalgia board needs to step it up
  9. oh right-pawnbroker is correct I think I didn't realize we were doing all Trek incarnations-this could get difficult
  10. must be 'the Enterprise Incident" -maybe when McCoy took Kirk's Romulan disguise off
  11. There was a motel in St Marys (can't recall it's name), where several people I knew on staff lived. I attended a fellowship at one guy's 'home' there for awhile. It actually didn't seem that horrible, as it had a separate bedroom and kitchenette-but it was still a motel -that gave good monthly rates apparently.
  12. well, Raf and I had the correct answer. Raf was first. Wordwolf described 'the Enterprise Incident'. On further reflection-it COULD be 'the Enterprise Incident' But it sure sounds like 'Amok Time'
  13. I'd say Raf got it first-but only because I just got home from work. I thought the winner in these things is supposed to give the next one ?
  14. Amok Time Here's another easy one "ah, a fair maiden" "sorry, neither"
  15. I know what happened to him-but what became of the First Edition?
  16. Let's see, they can't wash dishes or waitress at 'Adolph's' anymore since it's closed. When I passed through New Knox a couple of years ago it didn't look like there were any businesses to speak of. St Marys is a booming metropolis in comparison, but what is really there ? When I lived there for a year in the 80's, it was in the midst of a deep recession due to the one large factory shutting down. Even the 'Happy Hunpty' diner is no longer there. I guess you could clean rooms at the hotel where some staffers used to LIVE. I'm not sure how you could work 'part time' if you do happen to have some professional credentials and experience. The "Evening Leader' probably isn't looking for part time business managers. There are plenty of McDonalds and so called 'pizza' places in the neighborhood that could use the help though. The benefits from McDonalds are probably better than the way.
  17. Was the song you played ever on the US airways? The instrumental would have been 1966 if memory serves.
  18. wow I just realized I called the 1966 Romeo and Juliet film the '666' film ! what does it all mean?
  19. I never saw that 666 Romeo and Juliet, but knew the piece from somewhere else. So why was I thinking it was a 1939 film ? I'm too tired to track back to the beginning at the moment. I would have loved to be at the CSBY concert-and I am nothing but thankful that they're speaking out against the war. I mean CSN &Y
  20. very funny sudo-but what MOVIE is it from ?
  21. ok, I give up-what's the answer, Sudo ?
  22. if it's a Russian film, it's got to be Eisenstein, and I'm getting fleeting memories of film class in college watching Potemkim,Ivan the Terrible, and Alexander Nevsky. I don't remeber any romance in battleship Potemkin, or Ivan, so I'll guess Nevsky. If it weren't for all those film classes beefing up my grade point average, I would have no idea about alot of this stuff.
  23. Peter and the Wolf So was that used in a 1939 film ?
  24. I know the title but not the performer. I wish you'd just tell us what the previous one is before you get wrapped up in another.
