  1. weren't these shows rotated week to week on CBS-'mysteries' or something like that. One wekk they showed Columbo, the next MacMillan and Wife, and so on.
  2. I admit, after sitting through the class over 30 times, in various capacities, but always as a good alert grad, I took advantage of the power to go into the kitchen, when I was a class instructor, whenever I had a mind to (or was just bored ). My only defense is that I learned it from a former branch leader who would sit in his bedroom, watching the Muppet Show during classes he ran-and not just one time.
  3. "nothing you did was ever any good"- yeah that about sums up my life in the way. I kept getting more responsibility, yet feeling more incompetant and guilt ridden over every move. yet they kept dumping more on me.
  4. I was a class instructor twice,in '79 and '82. I was not and wasn't going to be in the corps, was not even coordinating a twig the first time, and certainly was not perceived as a 'corps in training' type. They must have been really hard up for instructors in CT. I also didn't really believe in sit, among other things-but I knew enough to keep my mouth shut about that. I think if there was one thing I brought to the thing, was a genuine concern to try to do right by these people, beyond getting them to babble at the end. I made it a point to get to know them as people, though the time for that is limited. I also tried to not sound like a way robot. I used to cringe at corps guys who spoke with wierwille or martindale inflections, with that weird little laugh at the end of sentences, if you know what I mean. I guess the point is-on one hand I think they were nuts to trust me with their precious class-but I tried to do my best in my own way. Still don't know how I pulled that off. There was also no sending cards or gifts to vic back then-not that he wouldn't have welcomed them.
  5. If I were to pick one Thriller to start with, I'd say 'The Hungry Glass', starring an extremely young William Shatner. I think youtube has some of them in whole or in part.
  6. It is 'Thriller'-and if you haven't seen it, you've missed some darn good tv. Of course, like all anthology shows, there are winners and losers, but when Thriller was clicking, it was genuinely frightening.
  7. the same twisting staircase was used over and over-in multiple houses- that won't help much unless you watch several episodes of the show what might help is the host-who is not wearing his famous monster make up
  8. I only see 2 photos, but I'd say voice actors for the Simpsons. I apologize for missing my turn earlier. I don't check in daily, and tend to forget. Maybe it would be better if I didn't participate.
  9. I stand corrected- Fonz and the gang, traveling in a UFO from space with an alien named Cupcake-my memory of this junk said 'outer space'-but yeah it was time travel-with no Potsie-I wonder how Anson Williams felt about losing out on that easy pay
  10. gotta be 'Gilligan's Island'--or -I just remembered- 'Happy Days' both went off into space--now that I think of it-the Brady kids may have wound up in space
  11. Not that it's important, but I recently viewed the Bonanza pilot episode. Adam is the only one who doesn't sing it. Ben, Hoss , and Little Joe sing, while Adam is un hitching his horse. They do all yell 'yahoo!' as they thunder out of town. It was a different show in the beginning...
  12. I'd answer it , but I don't have a new one on hand..."danger, will..."
  13. I think I'll just spill it. Video Village.
  14. early 60's. Shenanigans was basically a kids take off on the adult version. I 'm pretty sure Jack Narz was the host. I liked it better than Shenanigans. Don't know how to give more clues
  15. Shenanigans keeping with the theme-there was another TV game show with contestants working there way through a giant game board. Only with adults instead of kid contestants.
  16. yes-Maverick,,,Bret, Bart, Beau, and even Brent.
  17. the star was a loner, then we found out he had a brother, and a cousin, and even another brother
  18. Space Ghost- I'm work crunched, but I'll try to add a new one soon-sorry
  19. I rarely use the term, but this was 'spot on'. Of course, anyone 'important' in the way would do nothing for the event but give orders, show up, and probably find fault. The hardest workers would 'learn' that by setting the room up incorrectly, they were not yet capable of more 'spiritual' responsibility.
  20. once you said he was the star of the 'Real McCoys', it had to be Walter Brennan, and Will Sonnett. (unless Richard Crenna or Pepino starred in a western) I don't have one handy at the moment, so a free post is fine with me.
  21. with those clues, it's got to be 'the Guns off Will Sonnett'- but I'm not taking any credit for it.
  22. it is 'I've Got a Secret' There were a lot of game shows-but the 3 mentioned were all Mark Goodson shows, and were somewhat interrelated. Often panelists from "Secret' would fill in on 'To Tell the Truth', , etc."What's My Line" was the 'prestige' show-live at 10:30 pm on Sunday night for 17 years.
