Thank God they are evacuating this time and it seems to be going relatively smoothly. I do hope they reconsider rebuilding, too, Rhino. Such a waste of dollars and tax revenue. I'm really hoping it's not as bad as it looks like it will be.

In this case, I think the local news is better than any national news. My favorite sources are: WFTV and The Orlando Sentinel. The national media just touches on the case, whereas besides hurricanes, it's almost all the local media seems to be covering and there's lots more to the story. Jim, they have very little to go on and since the grandmother washed and got rid of some of the evidence, without a body, they are unlikely to be able to prosecute for murder. The circumstantial evidence is overwhelming and obvious, but not enough to get a conviction - especially if they get a bunch of bozos on the jury. That's the reason they offered the plea deal and it is an extremely rare deal that very seldom happens anywhere. They wanted to entice Casey to lead them to Caylee.... to give them any information that would help with the investigation.... I think she and her lawyer are just stupid enough to reject the plea anyway. If she did dump Caylee's body in the swamp area where it appears she might have - there will be no body left thanks to gators and other Florida wildlife, insects, rain and whatnot.

Anything fun and anything you wanted to do that would keep me from doing something TWI related 24/7. Did I mention, anything fun? Oh yeah, and...... anything fun.

 I'm wondering if it's possible for those who believe in eternal damnation to understand where others are coming from? I mean, we've been there ~ done that with quoting scripture and using "the word" as a foundation for our beliefs and, most likely, did believe that at one time. But, logically, it just does not make sense and does seem to be a manipulation tactic no matter how you spin it...or how light one tries to make the analogy. "Why would you NOT want to make the simple choice to do what God says and avoid eternal damnation?" The threat is still there. IF God, as they say, is all loving, all knowing and all those chocolate covered good things - then HOW can he possibly allow his own creations to suffer an eternal damnation as they teach? And WHY do you want me to believe in a God that does? It baffles me and just quoting scripture to me is useless. Geisha, for what it's worth, I think, perhaps, this medium may be a challenge for communication for you because I'm seeing the same things Oak and Bramble are in your posts on this thread. :) If what we're interpreting your message to be is wrong, please correct the message instead of scolding us for not understanding. I do believe we see through a glass darkly and, just maybe, on the other side of that glass is a world none of us can imagine, but all of us will get to see.

<---- Is wondering if she'll get a call.

Subaru is the best! Not that I'm biased because I drive a Baja or anything like that.

A guy at work suggested we rig up some man-sized hamster wheels to generate power and have inmates run those wheels round the clock in shifts. That right there would take care of a number of problems.

<----- Is glad she already has all her hurricane supplies. I think it's gonna be a wild ride this year. We've still got streets closed and houses covered in water here. Some rivers and lakes aren't even expected to crest until this week-end. Most waterways are 100% no wake zones, so boating's out this holiday. There's gators and snakes everywhere, too!

Got my fingers crossed for all y'all! I don't think we'll really know till Monday.

Casey will be going back to jail tomorrow. The bounty hunter who put up the bond said that Casey lives in her own world. Her parents are just as strange as she is. Her mother told 911 operators that Casey's car smelled like a dead body had been in there when she first called them. Then she went and washed everything that was in the car.... all evidence that would have been helpful in finding out what happened. They have lied repeatedly to authorities and non-profit groups who go to them offering to put together searches for Caylee come away angry, frustrated and dismayed at the behavior of the grandparents and of Casey. It's just so sad! Apparently Casey had wanted to give Caylee up for adoption but the grandmother wouldn't let her. She should have just taken over custody of Caylee at that time, but she didn't.

 Wow! Oh, Wow!! Amazing post, Penworks!! That about sums up what I've been through and the conclusion I've come to. Thank you! :eusa_clap:

Thanks, Rocky. You *can* revoke bond and that's what the bounty hunter is most likely going to do, now that they've got proof that Caylee's decomposing body was in Caylee's car. I thought this bizarre story had made it national. Sorry, but it's just about all you see on the news when they aren't talking about hurricanes down here.

The "choice" discussion is a tangent off someone trying, as usual, to defend TWI and is irrelevant, imo, to the discussion - not to mention the fact that we've had that discussion ad nauseum here already. I had a bit of correspondence with the reporter of the story and what it boils down to is this - Michael Johnson is a phenomenal football player for GA Tech. He is expected to be a first or second round NFL draft pick next season. That's a big deal and they wanted to do a pre-season human interest story on him. Whether that was him selling flowers in his Moonie getup in the airports - teaching yoga lessons in the ghetto or raising award winning roses - they were going to do a story on him. Because of his involvement with TWI, he doesn't really have much other "human interests" in his life to report on. His whole life is football and TWI, so that's all the reporter had to go on. I'm still disgusted to see TWI painted in a positive light and I wonder what will happen to the team mates he has unwittingly involved with TWI, but I also see my knee-jerk reaction to seeing the article and am reminded how far I still have to go.

Air sample tests from Casey Anthony's car show a decomposing human body was inside the trunk, a sheriff's office official just confirmed. Meanwhile, California bounty hunter Leonard Padilla said Anthony has made no effort to help him find Caylee, he told the Orlando Sentinel on Wednesday. "She has not communicated with us at all," Padilla said. "She has no interest in communicating with us." Padilla, whose nephew posted Anthony's $500,200 bail last week, said if he knew what he knew today about the case, and that the 22-year-old wouldn't cooperate with him, he probably would not have helped get her out of jail. **** DUH! Anyone in Orlando could've told him (and did) that he was an idiot for doing posting bail. Can he now revoke the bond and send her back to prison? How does that work?

Alright, I may be able to come this year. Are there any greasespots of the FEMALE persuasion who would like to share a hotel room?

I wondered why the baseball was getting bigger. Then it hit me. Police were called to a day care where a three-year-old was resisting a rest. Did you hear about the guy whose whole left side was cut off? He's all right now. The butcher backed up into the meat grinder and got a little behind in his work. To write with a broken pencil is pointless. When fish are in schools they sometimes take debate. The short fortune teller who escaped from prison was a small medium at large. A thief who stole a calendar got twelve months. A thief fell and broke his leg in wet cement. He became a hardened criminal.. Thieves who steal corn from a garden could be charged with stalking. We'll never run out of math teachers because they always multiply. When the smog lifts in Los Angeles , U.C.L.A. The math professor went crazy with the blackboard. He did a number on it. The professor discovered that her theory of earthquakes was on shaky ground. The dead batteries were given out free of charge. If you take a laptop computer for a run you could jog your memory. A dentist and a manicurist fought tooth and nail. A bicycle can't stand alone; it is two tired. A will is a dead giveaway. Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana. A backward poet writes inverse. In a democracy it's your vote that counts; in feudalism, it's your Count that votes. A chicken crossing the road: poultry in motion. If you don't pay your exorcist you can get repossessed. With her marriage she got a new name and a dress. Show me a piano falling down a mine shaft and I'll show you A-flat miner. When a clock is hungry it goes back four seconds.

Here is the response I received from the reporter. The subject line was: Told ya again

Sorry, I think I posted this in the wrong thread. I do, however, stand behind my post.

With all due respect, I think the generation that allowed TWI to grow and prosper were thrilled to find a group that would allow them to smoke dope & seek God at the same time.... sure, there were others who were genuinely focused on finding "God" and "the truth" but there were many aspects of TWI that allowed one to do what they wanted and still be "holy". The associations that allowed such a thing were very welcome. The ego feeding knowledge of knowing more than the typical minister played a big part, too. If it weren't for that lore and draw, there would never have been a TWI for me to find in 1993. <_< But, that's just my opinion.

I think what would happen if others read this wonderful story about his incredible athelete and decide to follow in his spiritual shoes... sign up with TWI, take their classes and follow the Way Disciple, Way Corps path that's certainly to follow.... and find themselves at GSpot like so many of us who got involved way later than you glory day groovy christians did .... and then end up lamenting the best years of their lives. A reputable organiation should NOT be promoting groups like TWI. They should be more responsible in their reporting. That's what I think. :) They are lending justification and validity to a group who has none.

(((WW))) I missed this! So THAT'S why I didn't get to see you. :) Sooooooo glad you're okay!!! You, too, all you other Greasers.

Tzaia, now that you have posted the information here, don't be surprised if he is contacted by TWI and told under no circumstances to avoid you like the devil spirit possessed heathen that you are. I'm pretty certain that the WAYGB still monitors us here at the cafe. :)

Yay, Oaks! You also helped me tremendously with a study of epiluo which was met with the same disdain for questioning the validity of TWI teachings. They still teach those very things. I have always admired you and, during that time especially, envied your strength, resolve and boldness.
